  1. FAO the poster Del.

People like myself discuss and post our opinions and views on here quite frequently. I read what others have to say sometimes I agree and sometimes I disagree, but I do respect what others post. It would appear as you've given me a reddy for what I posted above that you disagreed with what I said which is fair enough but would you care to post what your thoughts on the matter are so others can then either agree or disagree with you?

  2. Same team for me. Kidd and Carmichael were immense. Holty played much better with Russell ahead of him. Don't think Durnan could complain about being on the bench - he's been outshone by Dowie and Higgins recently.

To be fair to Durnan (coz I love the guy and class it as blasphemy should he be slated :P) he really doesn't suit a 3 at the back. He's far better suited as a CB in a back 2 :)

Aye, I love big Durns too. I just think Dowser and Higgins have been playing better than him recently. I meant to say that I'd bring Higgins in for McKenna, but I wouldn't complain if the dog started. He was solid bar one moment where he missed the ball and Raith had a chance to score.

  3. I see from today's papers that Colin Nish is leaving Dumbarton on Monday .... could be a good signing and would offer a different type of option up front ... also interested in getting into management I believe ....

Colin Nish is pish but Jordan Morton is training with us

Colin Nish would be a horrific signing. I think I'd rather have Tam Brighton back.

Is Morton the boy who used to play for Cowden? Wide player?

  4. I'm not one for having a pop at our youth players. I think it's great that we have so many waiting in the wings. But I have to admit that in the few occasions I've seen Dean play I haven't been impressed. You don't expect wonders from the youngsters but with the likes of Reilly, Burns, Gibson et al, and even Slattery, there has always been a "spark" there that made/makes me think they could develop into a prospect. I just don't see it with young Dean. He will hopefully prove me wrong, but I'm quite doubtful. In all honesty, I'd have had him out on loan well ahead of Slattery.

I agree with this. Although I still think Dean has some potential, but for me Aidan Smith is a better player and I'm amazed that he hasn't been given some game time yet.

  5. I agree with the thrust of this, but before one of McIntyre's apologists points it out, Russell has been played through the middle once or twice, without success.

    I don't recall this.

Me neither but may have been a game I missed but don't remember it being mentioned.

The only game that I can recall when Russell was definitely played through the middle was at Home to Raith (we lost 1-0) and he was completely ineffective.
