  1. Well took the plunge and book a train to Montrose for the game. Unless McGlynn changes things from the Forfar game I can’t see us getting much. Really need Regan Hendry back and soon.
  2. I’ve little doubt if he stays free of injury that young Bowie will move onto a higher level, how high only time will tell and when he does we should hold out for as good a price as we can get not sell to the first Premiership club for a pack of biscuits, a preseason friendly and a loan player. The lad is happy here and in no rush to leave so unless an offer too good to refuse comes in I’m more than happy to keep him. I’d love to see him playing at the top level and as an international one day after a big pay day for the Rovers but we’re a long way from that at this time so let’s just enjoy him wanting to turn out at Starks. Livingston away = shite draw, not even a good town for a sesh.
  3. We’ve obviously not moved (well not in anyone’s lifetime anyway) but the ground has been ruined by the ridiculous 10,000 seats rule brought in for the fans of the OF which gave us two enormous ends and a railway stand we will never use unless in the Premiership. For a club of our size we should have been looking at two small stands at the sides with family sections corporate and disabled seating with a social club. The ends should have been covered terracing allowing supporters the choice of seating or standing. An overall capacity of 6-8k would suit most medium sized Scottish clubs. Sadly I don’t see anyway to change Starks short of a new stadium and I’d rather we don’t move away from the centre. So unless someone wins the Euromillions and wants a project I doubt much will change. Fortunately it’s not a bad stadium but it could have been so much better without stupid unnecessary rules about all seater and minimum capacity.
  4. It’s good to see he’s mixed it up by using Cove instead of Elgin on a Tuesday night. Keeping it fresh.
  5. Interesting and I’m not sure it’s as ridiculous as it sounds, Colts can play at Tier 6 so the OF could be playing the long game here. At the moment they are battering themselves off a brick wall as the SPFL clubs say no to colt teams with the fans in particular united against them (see the League 2 forum thread). Would Junior and Amateur fans be as opposed never having played in the same system there could be a lot of fans or even board members who have “a big club” or just be less hostile to all things OF this potentially adds more weight behind Celtic and Ranges in club numbers, they can also try to persuade clubs at Tier 6 of the benefits they claim and some of these clubs will eventually replace the current SPFL teams at Tiers 3 and 4 suddenly it’s not a handful of clubs for it it’s nearly half. Would take time but it could be the only way they see the SPFL not blocking it as the current SPFL fans are not buckling. They could use LL as a stepping stone once enough clubs from the former Juniors replace the old EOS allowing a rule change to colts at Tier 5
  6. Think i'll head up for this one as I've never been to Broadwood before, what the score with parking? is there parking at the ground or nearby?
  7. Decent first quarter if not great. Dropped silly points down at Stranraer after getting the lead back. Sando seems to have helped the back sort themselves out and stop shipping silly goal unless it’s Davo. JM got it wrong against Falkirk but turned it around second half so hopefully he doesn’t repeat that mistake. East Fife have been the biggest surprise for me and time will tell if they can keep pace or if injuries will hamper them. Still fancy it’ll be Rovers v Falkirk for the title this season but both teams look like they’ll drop points along the way. Playoff final would be a beauty if it was Rovers/Falkirk v Pars. Overall I’d give us a C+
  8. [emoji23]I’m pretty sure celtic will train on artificial pitch before playing a team who play on one.
  9. Pitch was shit Referee is a lodge member It’s a conspiracy Livingston don’t play football Bingo!!!! The worlds most ungracious fans. Always cheated never defeated since 1888
  10. Strange game overall and the old cliché a game of two halves applies. Both sides will feel they should have won the match. Falkirk should have been out of sight at half time and Rovers will be disappointed not to grab a late winner. Enjoyable game overall.
  11. Lewis Vaughn’s shirt after the lad did his ACL for the third time after only 3 games.
  12. John left the door open and those Methil types nearly snuck in. Don’t worry Daniel has closed it on them and they’re still looking in the windows.
  13. Nice to have a game with a decent crowd and a bit of atmosphere. God only knows what JM was thinking at the start with that set up but he changed it and turned it around. Tidser very lucky to stay on the pitch a red all day long. Hendry gets some shocking tackles off teams at this level. Falkirk pressed us well most of the game trying to close down space but I think they tired towards the end just a shame we couldn’t find the winner. Top after 9 games, I’ll take that.
  14. Longer if like us you decide to stay a few seasons.
  15. What's the parking like for this one? Got tomorrow off work so might go up. Tough game and our record up there is less than good, i'd like to see Baird get game time and we're all well aware of his habit of scoring against former teams. Vaughn is a blow if he's out again but if he's in anyway a doubt leave him out as we'll need him against Falkirk where we really can't afford to drop any points if we're to challenge for the league. Hopeful we can bring the points home but i expect to have to fight for them. Where are the best Bridies to be found?
  16. Surprised you’re bothering with the next round of the Scottish cup and not just demanding late entry to the champions league. A win against Kelty and you talk like you’re Barcelona [emoji23]
  17. Beats last year when we played with 10 if Wedderburn was in the team.
  18. Looks a good wee battle between the 3 at the moment with not much in it in terms of points. East Fife have made a good start and are top on merit having beaten us in Methil. Falkirk defiantly have the players to come good and challenge for the league if they find some momentum which is expected as they've got the biggest budget. How's EF strength in depth? can you plug injuries and suspensions when they inevitably come. Actually thought Forfar would be the team to mix it with ourselves and Falkirk but EF have had a flying start and did show some form in patches last season. Our next two games are fairly big as stated above they aren't must win but we really could do with hitting some form on the road. With Falkirk stuttering if we can sort out the away form i'd fancy our chance this season but if we continue to drop points on the road an inevitable playoff disaster awaits us again.
  19. The SOS really can’t continue as a tier 6 league indefinitely just because they helped set up the pyramid all it would do is cause a poor balance. Once the WOS and EOS leagues are established the trapdoor to the LL needs to come up but if you gave automatic promotion to the SOS along with the EOS and WOS they would be the absolute whipping boys as the league is too weak. You’ve really got 3 options for the SOS league. 1. Stay as is and becomes a feeder to the WOS league (current SOS licensed teams need to be invited to a WOS league. 2. Have both a WOS and SOS but the SOS needs to expand their area north To include the southern West Juniors to strengthen the league. 3. SOS becomes the WOS and has a season of conferences, SJFA stay outside the pyramid all clubs who want in the pyramid from Oban down to the border join the WOS. All clubs who don’t want to join stay Junior or amateur. We should eventually end up with 2 feeders to the LL one East and one West each gets an automatic promotion spot and an East v West playoff for the third place. Personally id like to see options 3 and let any juniors who want to stay Junior do so until such time as they decide to move or the grade is no longer viable.
