Been covered by myself and a few others but potentially tonights test results could've been for the upcoming Forfar fixture on Thursday.

Genuine question as I’ve not got a clue about the rules; does anyone know if there is a deadline on when test results need to be provided by? You’d imagine that would be a protocol? If this was a test done on Saturday, in preparation for the game tonight, the result must surely be made available the day before/morning of kick off for reactive measures to be put in place. If that’s not a protocol then what’s the point?

From what we’ve been told, Clyde haven’t broken any rules. And as for the East Fife players, if it was my mrs who was pregnant I wouldn’t risk playing, either.
Neither club in the wrong here really. The JRGs decision to allow the game to go ahead is the only questionable thing here.

100%. Until more comes out it looks like the JRG have had a nightmare. I’m guessing we’ll find out more tomorrow. My only question is if the test was carried out on Saturday as indicated in the Fife statement, why did the result only come through minutes before kick off? Surely if there is no negative test, then the player cannot be in the match squad until a confirmation?
Some of the comments from our fans have been a bit over the top though, it’s a bit embarrassing. Especially considering this match doesn’t mean anything to us and we’ve made a morally sound decision.0 -

As said the attack is sorted. Wallace, Duggan, Dowds and Smith is an unbelievable 4 to choose from if all can stay fit. A massive improvement on last season.
I’m also happy with Long and Hart as keeper options, again another improvement.
I would have Dunsmore, Denholm, Watt, Hunter, Agnew, Davidson, Bell and Murdoch as our midfield options so feel that is enough but would love another to make up for the inexperience of Bell and Hunter, and also baring in mind Dunsmore and Murdoch may be used further back when needed.
Who I would consider as defence is still looking short though. Slattery, Dunlop and Higgins show we need more bodies there. Watson, a left back and a centre back are needed and I’d imagine the latter two will be loans. Then Dunsmore and Murdoch providing additional cover would be enough.
I don’t think we’ll see much else from the club for a couple of weeks as we’ll need to wait on loans becoming available and Janny proving his fitness. If we could get a couple of quality loans then I think the play-offs is a realistic target.3 -

Very happy with Murdoch. Higgins will be a good squad player but I feel another CB and RB must be priorities as that will allow Dunsmore to move forward. Hopefully Watson is that RB. After that I’d imagine we will be pretty much done apart from 2-3 loans. I would love us to bring in another striker, a natural left back, another winger and a centre mid but that’s being greedy and almost make the squad too big.

This is ridiculous! Stop being so well prepared! In all seriousness, I am really impressed with how early we’re getting our business done. Hopefully Watson and Meggett (despite the rumours) re-sign and we’re looking strong and settled. Do we know what is happening with Docherty? Not 100% sure about keeping him now but he’d be worth keeping as a bit part player and experienced head in the changing room.2 -
The only downside of having 12 signed up already means it may be a bit of a boring pre-season with only a handful of players needed. Not good enough! Sack, the manager and the board!

Great news about Dunsmore! I don’t know when we last had a squad size with double figures before pre-season has even begun?
By my reckoning, that leaves Terry, Meggatt, Watson, Docherty, Kane, Linton and Court not signed up for next year, am I missing anyone? Who else are we wanting kept?
I’d probably only look for Meggatt and Watson to get a new deal which would give us a strong start to the squad and mean we don’t need to go panic buying, only bringing in players who would improve the squad.2 -

I would just go baws deep and get a ladder match for it. Have Dream vs Cole or something for the North American title, and fire every other major player in the ladder match.
A chance to create some new big players in NXT as well as farewell matches for a few since Gargano, Ricochet, Black and Ciampa have been on the main roster of late and may make the step up.
Gargano, Ricochet, Black, Lee, Dijakovic, Riddle would be the others that spring to mind. I’m probably missing another one or two.
Probably just my love of a ladder match driving my opinion.0

I can only guess the outrage from some about the statement is the lack of context. I understand it being basic at that point though, with a more detailed response to come at some point. Unusual for a club not to mention the usual well-wishes for their own player testing positive but that’ll just be an over-site in their haste to get something out.
