  1. Just guessing, but I would imagine that it will be along the lines of “although Devlin was fouled, as the referee didn’t give it play continued and the next foul was committed by Devlin (despite what the video shows). Because Logan was travelling at 21.5 miles an hour coming in at an angle of 45 degrees, he would have missed Brophy by 0.0076 of a second, therefore it should have been a red card.”
  2. And, who thought that it was a good idea to put the first ever televised Women’s league match against a televised Scotland international against the third best team at the World Cup? Crazy.
  3. If you go into the “Scottish Football Fixtures and Scores” tab on the BBC Scotland website, there’s no mention of Scotland’s match tonight. They do this every time, and the same with Scottish teams in Europe.
  4. Perhaps one of these four team tourneys played over two days? No idea, just a wild guess.
  5. Except they haven’t. All that is against the “Outcome” is “Claim dismissed. Original sanction re-imposed.” No link to any findings whatsoever. Any idea if the findings could still be posted, or are they just keeping them in-house.
  6. The sports guy on BBC Breakfast this morning talking about the League Of Nations. “This means an end to meaningless friendlies.” Ok pal, so what can Scotland qualify, or not qualify, for by playing Belgium and Portugal?
  7. Was the North Stand still there in 1981? I thought that it had gone by then, but if not, does anyone know when it was eventually taken down?
  8. I have definitely turned around my opinion on Stephen Thompson since he stopped playing. I’ve got a lot of time for him these days. Going back to last night’s show and John “Yogi” Hughes performance. For the whole hour he said SPL instead of Premiership, and also for the whole hour he said First Division instead of Championship. Not I’m not saying that I agree with what the different divisions are called, but that’s what they are called. It does my freaking head in when people don’t use the correct names. Also Hughes constant matey terms, Stubbsie and Stokesy are two that stand out from last night. Also, Stokesy is apparently a loveable rogue.
  9. Having listened to Darryl Broadfoot on Monday’s Sportsound justifying that Alan McGregor’s studs in the leg kick on Ajer doesn’t qualify as a red card under new FIFA laws of the game, or indeed Morelos kick on McKenna, not a flick, a kick, it doesn’t surprise me, it does infuriate me though, that like minded people can’t see that Michael Devlin’s red card isn’t actually a red card. I believe that the judicial panel looking at Aberdeen’s appeal are not directly connected to the SFA, but the 40 clubs in the SPFL, outwith the gruesome twosome, must, MUST, get together and ask what is happening here. That’s five ludicrous decisions this season, three in favour of Celtic and Rangers and two against the diddy teams. Astonishing, but not astonishing.
  10. That is what you call a classy statement. I wonder if other teams would be quite so restrained.
  11. So the lesson this season to SPFL players. Kick players off the ball, well off the ball, and that’s not deemed violent conduct, so fill your boots. Do anything considered a wee bit naughty when the ball is in your vicinity, and more importantly, don’t play for Rangers or Celtic, and you get hung drawn and quartered.
  12. Hopefully we will have McKenna back from injury, and Devlin available after his red is downgraded to a yellow.
  13. Forrester was the one brought in for creativity, it’s just that, apart from the West Brom game, he hasn’t shown or had a real chance to show what he can do. Hopefully he will come good for us.
  14. The entire panel and presenter were discussing Aston Villa’s bid for McKenna, at about 7.15 tonight. They all said that it’ll be very difficult for Aberdeen to turn it down, and it’ll be a nervy for everyone up to midnight as they might accept the bid. No one seemed to know that the EFL deadline ended at 5.00 today.
  15. Can’t be from England now, so think you’re probably talking the mick.
  16. Sorry, but the photo is from the Scottish Cup replay in 1971 At Pittodrie. First match was 1.1 at Tannadice and Aberdeen won the replay 2.0. The crowd at Pittodrie was 29,000.
  17. Sorry, you’re right. He was wearing 22 on the front of the club top in his Red TV interview press conference so I assumed that was his squad number. Apologies.
  18. Not sure if you’re having a laugh here, but Lowe has been given the 22 shirt.
  19. What annoyed me was the feeling from some Killie fans that the reason the red was upheld was because of Collum. It wouldn’t have mattered who the ref was, that was the point I was trying to get across (badly, it seems).
