This was my thought. I remember seeing him at Boghead (so 19+ years ago) with his wife, family and dog in tow. A bit eccentric but didnt associate him with the downright mental stuff attributed to him later and wondered if it was a different guy.
My grandpa took me to Boghead to see Dumbarton play Hibs in early 80s.
Was years later that I had the thought that George Best might have been playing that day. Went back and checked the records but he'd left the season or so before.
I'm not sure Michael Dickie crossed the half way line in most of those 122 games. In an era of the flying wing back it is safe to say he was an old fashioned defender.
Yesterday was a very pleasant surprise and I actually thought the stand looked a wee bit busier.
Tumilty looked solid with an eagerness to push forward. Hutton had his best game in yonks. Scullion and Crossan put in a real shift. And big Isaac looks the sort of forward defenders dread. His work for the second goal can't be underestimated.
A wee bit of sunshine and some Post Malone at half time for the kidz.
Happy days.
Remember a couple of years ago when we were going to places like Tannadice and Easter Road and not only competing but taking points yet wise old heads warned us to enjoy it while it lasted? Well last night was exactly what they were meaning.
The design is inoffensive. It just looks ultra cheap. The sort of thing you'd expect for a pub team. We all knew we'd get template but didn't expect bargain bin. Think it was Jan who put up this one earlier from the Joma range and id expected this. Stranraer have actually gone for it and looks quite smart.
When we first went with Total Teamwear I was really impressed. Cracking kitdesign and other items like polo shirts and training tops for those of us a bit too aged to swan about in replica shirts.
All seems to have gone quiet since. I appreciate we're small fry but you see the likes of Cowdenbeath doing new kit launches etc. Surely the club muat make some revenue from it?
