  1. Well that was shit, wasn't it? Just horrible. Horribly acted, horribly written, full of plot holes all the actions done awfully. Did they actually get anything right?

Heavens knows why I watch this anymore. It's night and day from season 1. Night and day.

I think my favourite bit of the episode was watching Michonne roley-poley her way to safety. That was the best and worst thing I have ever seen in television.

We see her as a hostage on her knees in-front of a 20-odd man army, with another hostage Hershel next to her. That other hostage is executed, and Michonne just roley-poleys away without anybody seeing her or trying to stop her. It's laughable stuff.

  2. I I like Townsend as well, not so much based on this season, but on his performances for QPR last season. There's definitely more to him than being able to run really fast.

That's true, he can also cut-inside and have a shot!

That's about all his skillset extends to. He's a useless, greedy p***k who needs to learn to pass the ball.

  3. Barkley is a bit shit anyway. He has really quick feet in fairness, but all he seems to be able to do with that ability is win fouls or make a yard of pace before shooting(which he does poorly, and far, far too often). There is no creativity or vision in his game, and his passing stats are all rubbish. I just don't see anything in him.

    Morrison is a better player.

edit: reading that back has reminded me of Andros Townsend, who is awful. Is there anybody who actually thinks he is any good?

  4. I've just began watching this. I'm enjoying it immensely. It reminds me of The Sopranos.

And it's probably the only TV show I've watched, along with The Sopranos, where there are some excellent women characters. Betty and Joan are probably my 2 favorite characters so far(S1 Ep9). I did like Don up, but the episode they had Roger over for dinner and then when he tried to go to Paris with Midge has turned me against him. What a c**t.

  5. Watched the first Hunger Games recently, and planning to see the second soon.

A decent film, but it's one that really, really needed to be bumped up an age category or two. A bit more gore and horror would have made it so much better.

Jennifer Lawrence is brilliant though. Can't believe she's only just turned 23. She's an absolute star.

  6. Right now I am craving cheese on toast with brown sauce. This has become my food of choice lately, I can't get enough of it. Alas, it is late and I'm in bed. This wonderful meal will have to wait till tomorrow.

Mate, if you are ready to have your mind blown, try brown sauce with tuna(John West etc.).

Don't think about it. Just try it. It is a gamechanger. You'll never look at tuna the same way again. TRY IT.

  7. Thor 2

Thought this was a bit shit tbh. I've never been a big fan of CGI films, and I hadn't seen the first one(I still enjoyed Iron Man 3, despite not having seen the previous 2), but even still, it's not a very good film. The elves are incredibly dull, the aether is an incredibly dull concept, the story didn't make sense in parts and the humour was shit.

Just not my film at all. CGI is something that I will never see the attraction to.

    5/10

  8. I can't help thinking that a lot of the younger posters could really benefit from talking to older people they trust and opening up to them. I always felt I lacked a 'Mentor' type figure when I was growing up as my father passed away when I was still relatively young. We seem to have lost a lot of the family values nowadays and it's something I notice more living in the Middle East. The Arab nations still have the family is first tradition and kids are encouraged to stay with their parents for as long as they want to and they are never forced to make their own way if they are not ready. The boys talk to their fathers and grandfathers for advice and I can think of no better place to start.

I think you're right about that. I certainly feel that any mental issues I have result from a lack of any real closeness with my family(we don't not get on with each other, we just aren't very close at all). It's not an exaggeration to say I've not had a proper conversation with my brother in probably 5+ years(I'm recently 20, he's soon 24). And by proper conversation I mean something that extends beyond: "Merry Christmas" *hands over Christmas present*.

  9. Began watching the Japanese anime(English dubbed obv) show Death Note yesterday.

What a brilliant, brilliant show. One of the best things I have ever seen. I'm only 7 or 8 episodes in, but I truly believe it is going to end up challenging The Sopranos and Breaking Bad as my favorite of all time.

    Tremendous, tremendous stuff.

  10. Yeah, it's not as if there aren't enough action/horrors about zombies to watch.

What relevance does this have? The fact of the matter is, that the as the show strayed away from the action-horror genre in the 2nd and 3rd season, the more awful and awful it became.

The more I read your post the more I'm struggling to see any relevant point you may be making.

  11. Well that 2nd episode was a lot, lot better. Hope this sees it return to the action-horror genre where it belongs.

Seeing a close-up Rick cut into the pig twice was not necessary however. That was just pointless gore and uncomfortable viewing.
