Did anyone ask why Holts son is at the club on a contract and Fergus has his son in?

Agreed, there are also people desperate to say its made up.
No one is coming out of it well I'm afraid.
Personally I think an opportunity missed by his teammates or management team to have “ dedicated “ the win or even Easton, Smith or Kerr “dedicating” their goal yesterday in support for Rico. Rico given an enforced 2 week “holiday” by the club is just a ridiculous decision. He’s a full time footballer and missing 2 weeks will no doubt be like 3-4 weeks the time he gets back fit and back up to game speed. That club decision has now had a detrimental to the Airdrie squad.
IMO I don’t think the club done enough in their investigation but that’s just my own gut feeling.
Show racism the red card.

Well, Holt is now off on loan to Dalbeattie Star until the end of the year, but the club “look forward to welcoming him back In January”. Aye, right.
He will be back in January possibly as new no1 if Holt senior gets his way. Mutch looking to get away in January window after being dropped for East Fife game. A disagreement “orchestrated” by Sheerin led to him being benched.
Behind the scenes Holt calling all the shots.

I see Harris O'Connor is still available as far as I can tell
Might need him as the tally of positive tests now at 8.
Unsure when the positive tests from last week will be allowed back to train or be available to play.

Thanks for info. No doubt club website might be updated tomorrow. I have forgotten what the rules are!
3 positive tests that I’m aware of at the moment. That may increase.

Pressure is on early for Murray here, not saying it’s must win but… Early in the season so plenty of time to turn things around however we’re not wanting to become uphill struggle. Not sure how many tickets we were allocated for the game but finding it odd that there is restrictions tbh for a very open stadium with a relatively small crowd expected. Anyway, mon the diamonds!!!
Could be really up against it with an outbreak of covid in our ranks.

I don't imagine Holts purpose is anything other to make the goalkeeper training better for the other 2 (didn't Caig say he liked working with 3 keepers?). Doubt we'll ever see him near the team.
Hopefully not but as Caig has now left Falkirk with immediate effect I’m sure Daddy will see it differently!!!!!!!

Just because he's Holt's son doesn't mean he's shite. Holt will have got him the trial no doubt but Sheerin and the goalkeeping coach will have made the final decision on him. It's an annoying signing and a PR nightmare when everyone's questioning the value Holt adds just now but we've not seen him play yet so for all we know he may be a cracking goalkeeper.
He was brought in towards the end of last season and deemed not good enough to challenge Mutch or Cantley for that matter. Goalkeeper coach at the time with M&M made the decision. Fast forward. Get rid of the goalkeeping coach, appoint another one(his good friend from his old club) and suddenly then his son has developed enough to earn a 2 year deal FFS.
I said previously this signing would happen. Holt really needs to do one.
On the positive Paddy Martin won’t let you down if called upon.

I genuinely think this is a cost saving measure. Get somebody in a week before the season starts to fill the space. We seem to have done that for a few years now.
I imagine it will be whoever gets the nod for the development team will be our back up keeper.
Holt will bring his son back in to sit on the bench and pay him 50k a season as well. Holt is killing FFC and needs to go.

Fancy telling us who the rest of the trialists are as well?
Not sure of any other trialists at present. Will post any updates if I find out more.

Looks like Ben Weekes who was previously with Hibernian U18s part off last season.
Think he’s just turned 18. Played as a winger or full back for the academy. Unsure if he’s a triallist or part of Falkirk academy now.
Had been playing with Leith athletic back in January this year but not many games due to pandemic.

Who the bloody hell is Gary Jardine ?
Gary Jardine is as latapythelegend alluded to, currently manager at Civil service strollers in the lowland league.
He used to be manager at Edinburgh city and got them into league 2. He also doubles up assisting Hibs youth teams as a coach. Overall a good coach and good guy who eats, sleeps an breathes football.

Rogers would surely be expecting to go to someone as first choice. He's a good shot stopper but he's had a few absolute howlers this season, which we have already in Mutch. We need a goalkeeping coach so it would probably be a better option bringing in an older experienced player that can coach and play. Should also have a development keeper or two.
Hopefully Sheerin's got good connections so we can bring in a few decent prospects on loan to give us some energy. Also if he's announced tomorrow we should surely have some signing announcements later this week with Holt having supposedly done a few pre contracts.
Alan Combe likely goalkeeping coach. Already had the discussion with Holt. Should have kept young keeper from last season for development team. Not sure how good bad or indifferent he was as he never played.

I’ll be delighted to be wrong in this instance. Doesn’t augur well that potentially Grant is put in place after overseeing his last team relegated. That’s something that shouldn’t be forgotten in this.

That might be his position. Not a striker IMO

Judging on the season there shouldn’t be many kept. However we’ll find out soon.

I agree, the only way anyone should be signed is if the preferred manager has been identified and he has agreed targets.
Talk of new managers, signings etc means nothing to me at the moment. It is second to what is going on at board level. New manager/signings should not deflect from the main thing, we need these c***s gone and should not be giving them a penny until they have.
It would appear Holt is doing the hiring and firing and not waiting for the new manager to make any decisions. Players learning their fate over next few days. What I have an issue with is the that if Grant is put in place in whatever capacity(manager or assistant) he is just a yes man for the SD. If that’s the case how are the club going to progress. It’s becomes another Romanov type scenario. #Jobs for the boys
