Hi All.
I have noticed there has been several references to the AU 500 Fund in recent days and thought it might be useful to give an update for those who are interested.
The AU 500 Fund relaunched as the AU Player Fund in September 2022 with the same commitment that all monies raised from monthly membership goes to the Ayr United Player Budget. We know have 250 + members with over 100 joining in the last year. Members monthly payments vary from £5 to £100 per month and this regular income allows the Fund to guarantee the Club a £50,000 contribution to the Player Budget even without any fund raising events or auctions.
We have now run two shirt auctions. Last years which apparently was “a bit of a shambles” raised just over £6000. It was set up at very short notice and conducted via email which made it very difficult to show live bids. This year we have used Match Worn Shirts. This was much more professional with the shirts displayed and current bids available to see. However with all the add on costs encountered by the bidders and the % taken by them we need to consider if we would use them again.
So the AU Player Fund is doing well but always looking to improve and increase membership. If anyone is interested in joining please email info@auplayerfund.co.uk

Was in the Greenock Telegraph with Imrie saying he’d made him a very good offer on a 2 year deal but he’d choose Partick. Don’t think it’s official to be fair so could be wide of the mark.
So Partick don’t think they will win the playoffs ………….?

Not sure if this is posted elsewhere but might be of interest anyway.. The site heading says it is shirts from the Dunfermline game on Friday but it includes other shirts from previous seasons too.

Yes all proceeds to the AU Player Fund. Auction going well but still some shirts without a bid.

Decent. Used to prefer your old kit launches for some reason though…
It is amazing how popular the club became then ….

Don’t know if it was mentioned, but heard Timmons was coming back a few weeks back and see Carlisle have now said they are looking for a new goalkeeping coach.
Heard he is already here one day a week.

Did anyone notice that when we went 2-1 up last night Scott Brown sent instructions to the ball boys to drop the extra balls over the wall.

Really do feel for Amartey as he isn't a bad player at all.
Don’t feel too sorry for him he could have been shunted off to Hamilton

Kelly isn’t starting as many games as people seem to think though so a loan might be an option.
Think you might be confusing your Kelly’s.

A local ref could drive to Somerset right now and know it would be off without getting out his car.
Just back from Somerset. Not raining not very windy and pitch playable. A ref would say game on. It is the forecast that will put it off if it happens.

What about Charlie to Hearts .??
If he is leaving I would suggest it is more likely to be Carlisle.

There is no way a training pitch would fit on it, unless it was half size. Even then it is hemmed in by a railway line so they would have to put a massive fence up.
Not what Bob Shields said in his page in the AP this week.

I agree about Murdoch, he hasn’t been the same player since he did the acl the last time. He was getting closer to his original form but it’s gonna be a real challenge for him to get close to that now.
How do people feel about Ahui starting the next few games and getting a run in the team? Was he better than Mcallister
Think he deserves the next game, at least, after yesterday’s performance.

It’s a bit like the McInroy situation. We give him a platform and he gets a move to the top flight on twice the wage we offer.
I think the problem we will have getting Logan is he is already on more than twice the wages we offer. He will have to consider being happy and regular football over money.

Probably been asked and answered, but which station is the game on tonight.
I can’t find it on the telly planner. Thanks in advanceThis game is not on tv. It is being played on a Friday night because Queens Park are just tenants and their landlord (the SFA) tell them when they can play.

I’m the exclusive dick on this thread mate. You’ve got a lot to learn.
You have definitely had a great start to the season and anyone beating the Two Cheeks is a plus.
How long before there is a demand by the old firm to ban artificial pitches in the Premier League?

There will be plenty of contamination with coal, oil etc. Plenty of other former railway yards have houses on them
Yes not an insurmountable problem but an expensive one.

Every chance he bought it in case the club resurrected the Wimpey bid for housing, Once that was dead in the water, It would make sense for the club to have it. If someone bought it and built a unit there, it could cause problems on match days with access.
Have heard there is a problem with ground contamination from the old railway yard.

Do we know what games Dipo will miss, if still here, after his sending off?
To answer my own question. Now on SFA website.
Dipo misses first two competitive games of the season. Stanger the first one.

Recruitment clearly all gone to shit this summer, we've gotten worse this summer on paper rather than strengthening.
I know the weather has turned a bit crap but I don’t think summers is over yet!

Think Brown would if it freed up wages for someone he wanted.
