Cammy Kerr runs like he's wearing concrete wellies. The fact he looks like he's going like the clappers is totally deceptive. He has to put that much effort in just to get to a crawl. He's as slow as a wet weekend in Arbroath and always has been.

No way should anyone be holding up Cammy Kerr as a positive example of fitness. He's made the most of what he's got, but he's horribly limited athletically. He jumps like he's carrying a piano, and he's laughably easy to bully in the air.

    And again, absolute pish.

I've long suspected that fitness is yet another aspect of our club that is half-arsed, not really because of evidence on the pitch, but more because of things you hear on the grapevine. I'm talking about things like Kev McDonald seemingly being uninterested in signing a short-term deal after witnessing our 'amateurish' approach.

I do think there's an element of lackadaisical thinking around the entire place, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if that leads to a training and fitness approach that isn't really where it should be. I'm thinking about things like Cammy Kerr having stuck around for so long despite clearly not being the standard of player who is going to play a part in getting the club to where the Yanks have stated they want to be. I mean, if you really do see yourself as a club that should be aiming for top 6 every year, why the hell continually renew the contract of a player who is Championship material at best? I'm not just trying to single out Kerr for criticism, it's just an example of the sort of behaviours at the club that contradict what they claim publicly. Surely if they were serious, someone, somewhere down the line would have said 'sorry, this lad isn't good enough' and moved him on, yet he's still bloody here despite stinking the place out for years and having never actually cemented himself as a fixture in the team anyway.

It all just screams half-arsedness, and nobody having actually sat down and thought about the practicalities of what has to be done to achieve the Yanks stated aims. It doesn't look like joined-up thinking, and I can't help but feel that must extend to all areas of the club 'behind the scenes'.

And yes, Hartley made a lot of noise about the piss-poor approach and abysmal facilities with regards to fitness and appeared to put a lot of effort into changing that. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it went straight back to square one the moment he was out the door, and has never moved on since.

    Absolute pish.

im 49 and for 49 of those years we have been shite..the bonetti years were when you look at it still shite..admittedly we played some good stuff at times but more often than not folded quicker than a bad poker hand when the times got tough...he signed some very good players but didnt have a fucking clue on how to mould them into a team...a decent manager would have had us kissing silver before it went tits up...and i still think we are where we are today due to the bonetti "experiment"

Totally agree with you. The second season of Bonetti, was absolutely shite.

It's mainly the fact he's not as good as is being made out for me rather than the above.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder stuff.

I don't mind him but out of our two party guy wasters, I'd prefer to take the punt on Griffiths. Understand why others would rather Cummings though.

Bored today, so looked at the league record of Griffiths, and Cummings this season.

    Griffiths 735 minutes 2 goals

    Cummings 632 minutes 3 goals

Not a very good return from either IMO

Charlie Adam what's yer opinion on what happened with him?

When he was drink driving do you think he gave any f**k about anyone nevermind the club ? Captain of the team, lead by example?

Paul McGowan had what 5 assault charges? I could be havering but was a good few. Again people look up to him.

Just bin everyone who is a c**t and made a mistake ?

If you played in the same team as a player who knew that you only had 11 players for a game, and that player went out and made himself deliberately unavailable for that game, would you respect him?

We haven’t strengthened enough anywhere. Most of the talk has been about Cumdog and Griffiths leaving which would be fine if we were bringing in replacements. Griffiths staying reeks of desperation now IMO. I’d like to see Cumdog given another chance, Griffiths has shown a complete disregard for the club that have tried to rescue his career by being overweight and unfit and while I hope he somehow gets himself together, the evidence of previous months and years suggests that he won’t.

Cummings showed a complete disregard for everyone associated with the club, with his antics before Aberdeen game. Get him to f**k

  7. The McGowan motm shout is actually scary.
He was absolutely pathetic and gave the ball away so much - one of them leading to a goal.
Genuinely he was absolutely horrific and he's part of the reason we're not progressing (but he scored a cracker against MWell).
    Depressing.

(EL Bak isn't good enough on the wing either)

    You’re actually scary.
  8. Re the criticism of Bain refusing to catch a ball. It has been suggested by quite a few people on the club forum that he has been told not to come of his line.

Apparently Hartley wants the defenders to deal with the crosses into the box not the keeper.

I don't know how much truth there is in that but in his first season Bain was outstanding at dealing with cross balls into the box and now he is glued to the line.

Most of the chunts, on there, don't have a phucking clue what their talking about.

Why would Hartley tell Bain not to come off his line, and why would he listen, as it's making him look shite. He's lost confidence, and at the moment is a very average keeper.
  9. He put in a few good games (Aberdeen away, Motherwell away, Thistle home, Killie home off the top of the head) that I think are erased from the history books. If I recall correctly, he was doing fine and we were all OK with him (there was debate on his end product but most people were fairly positive that he brought something) until he took an injury up at Ross County and he returned a month later in a boring 1-1 against Aberdeen where he seemed to get absolutely slated for everything he did but contributed in our goal. He was then dropped for a tactical reason and didn't return to the starting line up until we played Celtic a couple of times (may have been a double header actually) and was pretty gutless against them.
I don't know why he seems to be really hated but he wasn't that bad a short term signing and we did OK from him. He was a very talented natural footballer with a bit of pace who had lost his way with a serious injury and had no confidence at all so was firing hot and cold.
Do think he might have done OK if he managed to persuade Hibs to rip up his contract that summer, I don't know why they are still holding onto him when he's not doing any development. When you see the videos of his breakthrough and how exciting a prospect he was, I could see why Hartley maybe wanted to mend him.

  10. The sooner this season is over the better. Hartley needs to perform major surgery on the squad but he's put himself into a right shite position with the length of contracts he's handed out to some right duds. Danny Williams is the most infuriating for me. I've never seen a player before that offers nothing, I've seen players out of their depth and I've seen really poor players in my time watching Dundee such as Netan Sansara, Darren Williams and Patrick Noubissie. Whilst all were utterly dreadful I could see the point and position they played. Williams is better than they 3 put together but I just don't see the point in him. He doesn't tackle, he's not imposing, he doesn't take set pieces, he can't cross. As Mixu would say, what is the fucking point?!
