  1. Potential ACL for Taylor. Absolutely shite news, that'll be his season if so. Poor guy and leaves us short.
  2. Hmm, that last part isn't really the issue. No one is suggesting he's a predator or a danger, it's about the clubs moral take on it. And they have to decide what they think is palatable based on whether he's guilty or innocent. Jail time doesn't really come into it if he's found guilty IMO.
  3. Genuine question, if the sole reason for him not going to prison was overcrowding and not because of guilt, why should that lessen the clubs response? That's just a by product. They have a decision to make based on his guilt, not his punishment by the system.
  4. I think the point I was trying to make is that when you play a certain style of football, it's often rounded on quicker when you hit a bad patch. Neilson and Naismith found this out, going back further it applied to Laszlo, and I could see us being in exactly the same position in 18 months if we appointed McInnes. I'm not saying we have to expect flair football every week, but we need a fresh style. Neilson, Naismith and then McInnes all following each other would be too much for my liking. Plus, McInnes is also a bit of a dick.
  5. Heavy divorced Da' vibes. He's an utter p***k, thankfully he'll be nowhere near it.
  6. Hearts have finished 3rd, 4th & 3rd in the last few seasons and made cup semis and finals. We've been pretty competent and solid. The issue is because of the style of manager, when we go through a bad spell they run out of credit quickly because it's a chore to watch. Not sure how McInnes has us performing much higher than that and his style would see him in the exact same position after a bad run.
  7. Put himself in what position? Saying if we'd seen more fight it would've made his decision harder? Even the moaniest of Hearts fans aren't bothered about that comment as far as I can see.
  8. He was emphasising the performance was abject. If we'd not lost, he probably would still be clinging to a job. But we did and he isn't and the board have been pretty decisive. Not sure why they are getting stick, it's clutching.
  9. Forrester is meant to be good but I'd give Oyegoke a start. Has looked a bit ropey but has also done some things well. He's been signed to be backup so give him a chance, actually starting a game, and in the correct position, might help him.
  10. There's Taylor out and on crutches. Amazed he's genuinely injured after all the St Mirren fans telling us he just didn't fancy it on Saturday.
  11. Can't say I thought there was much wrong with the interview at all tbh. Why would the club not have a list of potential names? Would be slaughtered if they didn't.
  12. I'd be all for reclaiming wages already paid after the last 2 months tbh.
  13. No he wasn't binned on one half, he said that half confirmed his fears that we weren't getting a response. It wasn't a two year extension, it was one year that was built into his previous contract that ended up with us paying the exact same compensation.
  14. It's good that you misread what he said, had a dig and then when you had it pointed out you went in even further. Don't back down, double down.
  15. I dunno like, maybe they gave him a new deal for a laugh and always planned to empty him.
  16. It's been leaked because it's imminent and fans have known something was in the pipeline for months. If Naismith had won even 1 of his last 4 or 5 he'd not be out a job. He had a lot of backing from our board.
  17. You are wrong mate, he's been pretty consistent he doesn't want it from the minute it was announced tbf to him.
  18. The Bloom/StarLizard deal is done. It might not be announced yet, but it's agreed and will be announced, likely this week. Considering that deal involves them revamping our recruitment, I'm not sure them then being involved in recruitment is that big a gotcha tbh. It's quite literally why they are involved.
  19. This comes across as very holier than thou stuff tbh. You're entitled to your opinion. As I said before it's correct to have scepticism but this portion of the deal has always been agreed, we get the vote on the future part of it, that is out of our hands. So I can forgive people for trying to make the best of it. You keep going on about a conflict of interest as well, we are categorically not having a link up with Brighton, and I can't see any way in what happens at Hearts will create a conflict of interest with Brighton. They won't be interested in our players or our managers, we are in a completely different pond from them. I want to know more about his motives, is it to make money off sales, is it to test his system at a different level? What i'm pretty sure it isn't is to use us a breeding ground for Brighton, they simply don't need us. I think he'll have sway, but if it's not for nefarious purposes, why is that bad? James Anderson has sway, Andrew McKinley has sway, Ann Budge has sway, they aren't untouchable because the FOH are majority shareholders. Tony Bloom actually has a proven track record in football and has no history of being someone who hurts clubs, why have we to start panicking that's the case now? The main issue though is you seem to dismiss everyone who has a different viewpoint as you as stupid and they are blinded because it's different from yours, as if no one is capable of thinking on the goings on off their own back. You think it's wrong, so you have the clubs interests at heart, but others don't. I think you'r e decent poster, but I do think you've let how hard you went in on Hibs cloud your judgement on this and are now doubling down even though a) their deal is none of our business, other than to laugh at if it fails and b) It seems a very different set up.
  20. If you think Hearts fans are skirting about it, you're not paying much attention tbh. But Naismith has effectively lost it this season. We have played different goalies, different full backs, different centre halves, a back 3, back 4 and back 5. Every single week it was being changed. Guys would do well and drop out, others would do badly and stay in. For whatever reason it got away from him and he couldn't get a reaction. Shankland scores goals. Vargas got goals last season, Spittal was creative at Motherwell, yet we are getting nothing out of them, again because of Naismith. Spittal played as a 6 most weeks he's been involved. Vargas has been asked to play right through the middle but 30 yards away from everyone. Shankland has been a 10, bordering on a central midfielder. You can think what you want looking in from the outside, Hearts fans who watch it every week are pretty unanimous in the fact it's down to managerial choices. Choices he wasn't making last season and that has badly dented confidence. Both in the fans and players.
  21. And you took too long to act on the reason it was underperforming. Warnock was a dreadful choice, but Leven got a tune out the same guys. Our squad is essentially the same one we had last season that coasted 3rd and made 2 semis. There's been a bit turnover but we've got rid of squad guys like Halliday, Haring and Sibbick. Only person that left that was first choice was Cochrane and Penrice has been fine.
  22. There's a very low chance he'd be interested but we should be on the phone to Steven Schumacher and see if he's interested. Get the wallet open.
  23. I agree with Vincent, the squad is miles better than how we've been performing. It's not significantly worse than last season, and better in a couple of positions. It is a bit unbalanced but whoever comes in has options. For instance Taylor was shite yesterday, but he's been good in other games, he was excellent at Celtic Park last weekend. We have a couple like him who've came in that are young and inconsistent and need a manager to get the best out of them. Naismith was not doing that.
