  1. It is weird to give a cameo to someone not in the plans in our final warmup game before the Euros when we have limited subs.
  2. L1 is shite. Stevenage are shite. And he doesn't even get a game for them, he was on loan and on the bench for half his games. He's contracted to a L2 team. He never made an appearance against any of the teams you mentioned either. ZC kept 15 clean sheets for the 3rd best team in the country and also played for Hearts in Europe and for Scotland. He is categorically not playing at a higher level. Not even close. If the argument is ZC might not be international class fine. But MacGillivray had never played above L1 and is 31.
  3. Killie home kit is very smart, classic design. Not sure about the away, but I'm ot sure how much of that is down to the weird lighting on the photo.
  4. I think there's too much smoke for it not to be true. But what if he gets a half tomorrow and makes 4 great saves? It'll just make it look even dafter.
  5. BBC saying Gordon will make an appearance tomorrow. That makes it even weirder. If he's not going, it's not the game to be being sentimental in.
  6. Craig MacGilivray is playing at a higher level than Zander Clark? Lol, wut?
  7. No sure loyalty comes into it or surely Gordon would be due some as well? Done far more for Clarke than Kelly ever has.
  8. Aye but he's also had lots of injuries and little football. If the other options were sharp he'd have been in bother.
  9. If Souttar is the other to be cut it makes sense. We don't need 7 CH's in the squad and he's toiled with injury a lot recently (shock). Was always between him or Cooper I think.
  10. Feel for Gordon. 74 caps and fought back from a brutal injury to basically get retired from international football on the eve of a tournament. I get he's getting on, and I get he's not played a lot but Kelly has had a honking season and couldn't lace Gordon's boots. I'd also have thought his experience would be an asset in the dressing room. Don't even get the argument that Kelly has lots of years ahead of him. He's about to accept a move that guarantees he wastes his peak years and is poor so would be out the squad as soon as a viable alternative comes along anyway. Anyway it is what it is I guess and won't make much of an impact on the playing time anyone gets anyway but still feel it's a shame. If he had no intention of taking Gordon anyway just don't call him up or add him to a standby list.
  11. Manager of the year and a solid manager. Jim Duffy was right there.
  12. Club legend hounded out by Xmas and big Malky to realise the right candidate was along the hall the whole time, appointing himself on a 3 year deal.
  13. If it's 8 figures, I assume that's closer to £10m than anything wildly over it. Feels a wee bit undervalued at £2m a year for 20 games. But extra money is good and it'll help shift the focus onto games that really shouldn't be routinely ignored anyway.
  14. Was going to say this, he's not really struggled at all in bigger games this season. Even against Holland he was good but missed a chance he'd take 9 times out of 10. He won't start in Munich and no one is really saying he should, but it's not like he can't contribute. Game was turgid and the heat clearly a factor. Hopefully the players benefit from the minutes they got, expect better on Friday and I'm sure that'll be the case.
  15. I fucking despised that top. Crap shade of maroon as well.
  16. That misses out the white detail on the sleeves though. It was a shite bit of needless detail and changed it from being simple to crap. Not really sure what to make of that second bit. What do you expect from a Hearts top apart from maroon with some white detail. Pretty much been all our kits bar one for about 30 years.
  17. This season's kit was shite and wasn't simple. Argument out the window. It had needless white brick patterns on the sleeves and was pish. This top has embedded stripes and has no white trim. There's only really so much you can change on a home kit but in recent season we've had white bricks, white panels, yellow on the collar and cuffs. I don't think the new one is that similar to recent stuff. Obviously you're under no obligation to like it, it's a football strip, but I don't think it's overly similar to any recent kits.
  18. I never said he hadn't. But if he's walking about freely it's not exactly a bad sign is it?
  19. There seems to be chat Dykes was walking around ok after it so hopefully the stretcher was a precaution.
  20. Real shame that. Think overall he's done an excellent job. Recruitment has been good, but he's improved lots of areas behind the scenes. The academy, the women's team, the infrastructure and contract handling all miles better and more professional than when he joined. Having said that he has nothing lined up apparently so you'd like to think the club have known about this and have an idea of who we want. We'll also be a much more attractive proposition than we were a few years ago. It's a credit to him as well that things like recruitment have proper teams and structures in place so hopefully it's just a case of ticking along without any major issues.
  21. Aye his goalscoring record has never been great but he adds more than just goals IMO. he's a proper focal point, Cardiff fans liked him and wanted him to stay but Boro shifted him to Turkey. What he does need is people to run beyond him, no idea if St Johnstone have that ability tbh.
  22. I like it, nice nod to the Pony kit with the stripes. 8/10. Still irks me though that the maroon on the badge is significantly lighter than the kits.
