Lol wut? Delusional to think we have a chance of promotion? Have you had a look around the division?

As I have said, Clyde thoroughly deserved their win today and were comfortably the better side but I think you need to settle down a wee bit. We still have a squad capable of challenging at the top end. Josh Todd, Iain Wilson, Gavin Reilly (and to a lesser extent Euan East) are players who never started today who will be key players for us when they're up to speed. 4 players that would comfortably find a job in the league above as well. We clearly have a problem with depth but if we can get our players up to speed before a side runs away with the division then I expect we'll still be challenging come the end of the season.

As bad as that was from a QoS perspective today I don't think one result has "confirmed" we won't be up at the top end of the table come May. I'll hold off until we've at least played everyone before I start panicking.

Yes. That's correct. Remember, I said challenging for the league, not promotion,

If you make the play offs it will be a achievement. Get ready for the long haul.

  2. Seeing the early posts in this topic from Queen's fans about being challengers for the league over the last few days I held back, but still felt they were delusional.  Today confirmed it. It's a toughie to take on when you think you are likely to be going up. Its clear that that will not be the case.

QOS fans : get used to the long haul.

Still, result aside (which I'm clearly delighted with) it was a great day out and managed to visit a pub I'd not been in before - full of QOS fans - always good to see  a pub full of local fans rather than O.F. mutants.

  3. Bookies refusing to give me odds on Dobbie scoring, so clearly a stick on certainty.

If we can keep his goals to a minimum and close down any Austin McCann long range efforts, then we can take something.

Ah, been a while since I've been at Palmerston.

  4. BTW, what was going on with the OAP speccy guy  - clearly a Dumbarton fan - embarrassing himself by intentionally sitting on a clyde flag and then getting escorted away but then re-appearing at half time , pitch side - with a fork in hand! Silly old fool.

If he's a groundsman, no wonder yer pitch is a disgrace.

Nah I’m ragin after watching the highlights 😂😡😂 Couldn’t see from the QP end if it was a pen but that wee diving rat has cheated the ref. The ref had a shocker anyway but that’s so poor.

So frustrating to be drawing with Clyde cause they’re absolutely garbage. We’re as good as anyone in the league until the final third where it matters. Build up is fine but we’re so bad at converting chances. Clyde are hopeless though and it makes it all the more frustrating.

You lot would be bottom half L2 without Goodwillie. He’ll move on but Clyde will still be the muck of Scottish football chanting that rapists name.

Embarrassed to be near Clyde in the table. QP must do better, desperately need a goal scorer.

Well done Doyle for his header to get the goal. Spoke well in the post match too. He’s right, the amount of balls flashing across the goal but there’s no one clever or brave enough to convert. I’m happy he wears the arm band.

    Tremendous meltdown. Pleasing.

  6. Glad Sons are in the playoffs and not us, for obvious reasons, but really hope they stay up. At least the sons bring some fans and its a decent away trip, unlike the 3 potential league 2 teams that could come up, which are all terrible terrible away trips.

Aye complaining to the most one sided referee I've seen in a long time.   Complaining about the obvious time wasting that he did nothing about.  Still at least you can praise your favourite rapist the week again.

Having a wee bit of a Hutton-esque meltdown?

  8. Been getting into the Marathon training the last couple of weeks. Got away with it weather wise, but it fair kills you for a couple of days afterwards. Marathon training runs on Sunday means Tuesday night runs are heavy-legged toughies.

Even took to buying protein recovery shakes today in an attempt to be in shape for tuesday. Probabaly a load of overpriced shite but worth a go.
