I'm probably being a grumpy git, and I don't really care all that much tbh, but the season's going down the pan and we're pissing about like this. Just feels like it confirms the view that no one at the club's that bothered. I'm fully aware most folk wouldn't share this view and would say there's nothing wrong with the players enjoying themselves.
Doesn't bother me tbh, they'll be back training in a day or so.
Probably as close to a Title Party as they'll get.

I think Spartans will get at least a point, if not all 3, unless their form has really dipped, in that case we will draw again and Stevie Ranieri will say we were unlucky, on another day - that's a win for us, can't fault the boys at all, this is the business-end of the season and we are gearing up for the play-offs.

It would be good if we could get some answers regarding the new sponsor that has suddenly appeared on the tops. In the past we have allowed the owners to use our kits as free sponsorship without them ever paying up. It would’ve been nice to a least have a couple of sentences on the website when this new mysterious sponsor appeared for the big televised Rangers game to reassure supporters. The sponsor has remained, as has the radio silence from the chairman (lol) regarding details around who the sponsors even are and how long it’s for.

I’d think only us and Clyde have played at Championship level
When it was the First Division, around 2007 I think.

I noticed something last week at Stenny which was quite instructive. For more than an hour the home support was pretty quiet whilst we were quiet vocal. When the goal went in and then leading to and on the final whistle the GIRFUY from the home fans was very evident (and quite entitled), which suggests that apart from them winning the game we are still held as a scalp worth taking.
It's a minor tragedy that we likely won't begin to live up to that reputation until at least after May 2025.
Looking at our fellow League 2 inmates I think we are the club to have most recently played a couple of League's higher.
It feels like a distant memory sadly.

It wasn't a Saturday but based on that Stirling away game I was actually quite excited for the Annan play off game. Not so much in that I was expecting a result or anything but just because it was a playoff, if we get a result in the first leg who knows what can happen etc. Got the stream set up and was looking forward to seeing what we could do. I should've known better I know...
One of the worst viewing experiences ever, it was embarrassing how easily Annan had us figured out.

Does anyone remember a time when you’d wake up on a Saturday excited for our game? Nope, me neither.
The 2-2 away at Stirling Albion last season was possibly the last time I got up & thought this should be a good game, it was, great crowd too.
I'd probably need to go back to when we were in the Championship, looking forward to competing & putting Hibs, Dundee Utd, Hamilton etc to the sword at The Rock tbh though.
*sigh*

Stenny played a blinder in replacing Swift with Naismith. Peterhead replaced their manager, ditto Clyde and East Fife. Only at Dumbarton is continued mediocrity rewarded. It stinks.
It certainly does stink.
Could it be descibed as "managed decline"

It's also been suggested that Buchanan wanted 2 years and we only offered 1, which makes some of the other 2 year deals even funnier.
Stenhousemuir played a blinder there, getting Buchanan, a very good centre half at League 2 level.
Farrell takes Crichton & Durnan, a guy plagued with injuries.

We might yet finish outside of the play-off positions this season & Farrell will clearly be going nowhere.
"Carry on Stevie - will do, thanks Doctor"
