I don't know if anyone remembers exactly but I think Alan Hardaker died the very next day.

The plans for the all-seated stadium is in the Football Museum at Hampden - well worth visiting.

The new lad from Liverpool should sort the midfield issues.

I live in Surrey now and go to see Crawley play in League Two. We had James Balagizi on loan for six months (should have been a season but he picked up an injury and was recalled.)

My word what a player. Far too good for League Two - he was electrifying. He was played as an attacking midfielder and he totally transformed the team - a huge fans' favourite. Non-stop energy and strong driving runs.

He's still very young though. When he first started playing for Crawley, he broke through the midfield in one of his first games, when the crowd roared he stopped because he thought something had happened!

He is highly rated by Liverpool - I really hope he does well for you.

Teddy Jenks, currently at Forest Green Rovers, being linked to your good selves. Midfielder previously spent time on loan at Aberdeen. No sign of a centre back yet.

I live down in Surrey now and go to Crawley matches (league Two) and Teddy Jenks played for the club for a season on loan. A decent enough player he is surprisingly strong and has a good work rate. Ultimately though he struggled to get into the Crawley first team.

It was a difficult season with Crawley nearly being relegated and there was not much time or room for an unproven youngster but he wasn't too bad.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on with you.

    Some from yesteryear....

Willie Wallace, Davie Wilson, Pat McCluskey, Charlie Gallagher, Robert Prytz, Erich Schaedler, Jim Cruickshank, Graham Fyfe, Alex Rollo and of course Ian Wallace and Graeme Sharp.

I would add Murdo and possibly the McAdam brothers and Owen Coyle

The IFAB handbook is free to download on App Store and iOS but tbh, trying to get your head round the handball laws is not fun, hence why we get about 34821 shouts for handball every week 😂

The handbook and the laws of the game don't give you local interpretations. Every country, sometimes every region will have different interpretations which will be presented to referees in pre-season and unless you are a referee or know one, we have no idea what this looks like.

The website just feels unfinished with the only working feature being the news articles.

Whilst that was acceptable for the first couple of days, it's certainly not now. Nor does it appear to be set up to render to mobiles which I'm guessing where the majority of views come from.

The comment about losing revenue is a valid one. Player Sponsorship page (assuming you can find it) doesn't work so immediately it creates a barrier to people handing over cash. These kind of things should be made as easy as possible.

Even if it is not outsourced to DFC fans there are more than enough media colleges and students who could have been called on to help at little cost.

This is so short sighted and I agree with the others, the shirt sponsorship may have been used to secure a discount rather than attract actual real money.

Ehm. 'Cognitive Capital' no longer has any directors, and had its first gazette issued for the accounts being overdue on February 7.

If there are no directors we are in breach of the Companies Act. Any shareholder can call a general meeting to appoint new directors.

I wonder if my B shares count?

I was down at the stadium earlier and there seemed to be a bit of work being done by a company called Pro Turf care. Can only assume they were working on the pitch, can't imagine they were doing painting. Hopefully RFC are subsidising some of the cost.

I assume they were tidying up Alex Lowry's grave

You've answered your own question here, hombre. Maybe pipe down while the grown-ups are talking?

Way too harsh. It is clear that he was reminding us of the laws of the game in general, not that particular incident but you couldn't wait to get a snidey comment in.

  10. I don't see many Sons games so I was delighted to see a full game on TV.

Overall, I thought it was a comfortable win in the end, in difficult conditions - although the Cumnock players seemed to slip more often on their own pitch than we did! They were very physical and heavy handed, with plenty of afters, a lean, a nudge, a push every time after we released the ball.

They marked tightly and tried to hustle and harry us into mistakes but I thought we looked comosed for the most part.

It was not a game for the neutral though and if I didn't support Dumbarton I would have turned it over after about 15 mins.

I also thought we were rock solid in defence. Brett didn't really have a shot to save. Good positioning, good defending from us and poor touch and finishing from the Cumnock forwards limited them to, well, very little. Other than a 15 min spell at the start of the second half they didn't really threaten.

At the other end, how many chances do we need? McKee alone missed three very presentable chances and if we had gone in two or three in front I don't think anyone could have complained.

Definite penalty for me and well scored by Carswell.

They started the second half very strongly and were a bit fortunate to equalise. A horrendous touch from Lynas at the far post and it was too easy for the goal.

After that we closed them off and I don't think they had another chance, except for a late header.

Great goal from Buchanan to put us ahead again and an outstanding goal at the end from Finlay sealed the win.

I thought Gregor and Carsell were superb at the back. Buckie missed nothing all game and Carswell was clearly up against a stronger and faster opponent and I think he only led him past once. He stuck to it and more than once was hanging onto his shoulder, slowing him down and not letting him get past.

Orsi was outstanding on the wing, McKee was fantastic in the middle and Blair was stuffy when you need someone stuffy in the middle.

Byrne was pretty anonymous but Wallace was a big improvement and really should have scored.

How frustrating is McLean though? Does he ever pass the ball or does he always hold onto it until he loses it?

Also, we looked really good and slick with the ball at feet so why the High balls? Having said that we won a fair number of headers.

MoM for me was Buchanan. He was outstanding. Closely followed by McKee, Carswell and Orsi.

Although we have to be careful about a result against a team a few leagues below us, we easily avoided an embarrassing result.

Well done to the players, fans and management for a good result and I for one, enjoyed it. There was dig, fight and a good amount of skill from us.

I see Alex Lowry is out "for some weeks".

I genuinely expected we were talking a season ending/career threatening injury. But judging by this it doesn't seem like it's particularly bad at all.

Downgraded to 7-10 days but the vitriol, abject hatred and total intolerance of anything outside Rangers continues.

Calls to sue Dumbarton, to take a private prosecution, repeated threats to assault him and his family, one call for him to "be careful starting his car tomorrow" and to listen for footsteps behind him, etc.

This is completely outrageous for what was no more than a yellow card tackle. Let's keep some sense of proportion here.
