Maybury was a sub yesterday
Elvis did a hell of a lot of encouraging and shouting in the first season in div 1...but that calmed down season after,McFarlane was probably the most heated one on the bench but Crawford was as quiet as a mouse a mainly stood leaning against dug out post. I don't think how animated a coach manager is relates to much, Holt and brooks last season weren't all that animated
Taiwo seemed twice upset at being subbed, whereas other players have went off as if ah well...
The debut performance of smith and Jones, didn't really look like either were bothered, simply its probably down to the fact that we don't have a leader out there pointing fingers on the park and that probably equals that we are a team of individuals, some players can motivate themselves and some can't. I can agree that a manager can motivate, using Mark Stewart as an example in that I felt Elvis got the best out of him but as we stand the now, we are a rudderless ship
Yes that's what I mean, maybury doesn't need to be sub as Rowan can be there and maybury can concentrate on the coaching side.
Out the 14 players that played yesterday in your opinion who didn't look interested?

Millar struggling to get a starting slot at Peterhead may point to the coming back pre season overweight rumour maybes
I don't mind Taiwo, one the few players that gives a Fuk at the moment
Do you really think the players are not bothered?? I look at the bench 2 seasons ago Pressley, Mcfarlane and Crawford were all out and shouting and getting our boys pumped up yesterday I watched it on falkirk TV but seen only PH out. McDonough or however you spell it looks like he is sat in church and maybury is in kit when he doesn't need to be. Can't help but think it's not the players.
Your opinion but who out of yesterday's game didn't look interested ?

I thought mcgeever played really well, I know he's not much of a football player, his totally no nonsense style of play had lee miller in his pocket all night. Rowan looks better than maybury, Connor Hogg and Ryan Blair looked good. Leahy was good also, I'd say he's better than dick at left back.
Is he better than grant at CB? Think the new signing from Aberdeen will start ahead of rowan and maybury to be in sideline as a coach now. Be interesting to see who will play left back, dick or leahy. Personally I'd give leahy a chance but PH has stuck with dick since start of the season.

Just back from the under 20 game, pretty good game, the defence looked solid. Blairs strike was a screamer. Ohara was good, the only player that let the side Dow was probably boulding.
Any who can step up to the first team as in starting.?

With the players we currently have my starting eleven would be:
Mcdonald
Shaughnessy vaulks mckracken dick
Taiwo
Smith Cooper
Alston
Loy Biabi
I would still prefer us to sign another ball winning midfielder and a striker as we can't rely on biabi, this season he should be slowly bled into the team and then next season will be his chance to cement a starting position.
McDonald
Shaughnessy Vaulks McCracken Leahy
Tawio
Smith Sibbald
Alston
Loy Botti
Would be my team. Sibbald has impressed me a lot in the las two game and I think leahy deserves a chance ahead of dick IMO. Hopefully though PH opts to go with two upfront from now on.!

Roberston would be good IMO but not too sure about booth.

Friend works with a sheff utd fan and he just text me saying Rory loy is looking to complete a move to them. Hope this isn't true as we'd be in serious trouble !

Anyone at the game tonight?
Went along with my son and I must say it was quite enjoyable for a friendly. Seen the teams and thought we'd struggle with the physically but our boys were getting stuck in! Back four were very good tonight and dealt with the long balls very well! 2nd time I've seen leahy play left back now an 2nd time I've been impressed. Be good battle this year between him and dick. Peter grant impressed me also, commanding and won every header ! If Vaulks does go peter grant is more than ready to step up in my eyes.
Hope the fan who got took unwell is fit and healthy!

Would like to see PH make a few changes to yesterday's game.
I'd go with
McDonald
Vaulks McCracken Grant Dick
Tawio McGrandles
Shepard Alston Sibbald
Loy
Bowman - need a sub goalkeeper
Maybury - just incase for expierence
Ollie - muscle in midfield
Leahy - can play anywhere if needs be
Cooper - 15 mins to go bring on for pace
T Grant - set pieces
Botti - pace strength and scored Saturday
(Probably why I'm not a manager) but that's what I'd go with!.

See Vaulks is linked with Norwich which means he'll be on his way cause him and holt got on really well apparently.. Can Mcgeever or grant step up to state a claim in starting eleven..?

Went along today with my boy today with watch u20s. Really enjoyable game from a falkirk point of view. Like maybury as a coach. Could see him applauding a lot of the play and so were the people who were watching. We were unplayable down the left today. Actually like leahy as a left back and him and Sibbs really played well together! As for ICT, very very poor think they had one shot and it was miles off goal. Good to see the young ones off to a good start and hopefully to first team carry it on Saturday!!
