  1. The tattoo I have I got about 12 years ago on the top of my left arm. It's not attractive at all and I always keep it hidden.

I like what the actual tattoo is, I just wish I had went to a better tattooist so it would be positioned and designed better.

I was young and slightly inebriated at the time, I don't recommend doing it that way.

  2. I have no idea what that actually means? Are you suggesting the SPL as an organisation should have the right to step in and check SFL member club books if they hear a rumour of trouble? If so that's the craziest suggestion on this thread yet.

I don't think it is or else wouldn't have said it. I don't mean when rumours start flying around. I mean just regular checks to ensure they are staying out of trouble, even be able to offer them advice. There are companies that offer this sort of service.

I know where I work, we get checked, rumours or not, whether we like it or not. Maybe not everywhere is like this. Just thought it was an idea!!

  3. As anyone who was following the thread maybe a hundred pages or so back will know, I'm generally in agreement with Skyline Drifter and qos_75 here, it's easy to pile in on the SFL and say they should have acted sooner but much more difficult tosee exactly what they could have done and how.

That doesn't let them off the hook though, Livi's implosion was not difficult to see coming and there were a number of specific and quantifiable warning signs that coule have been acted on, in particular late wages and Inland Revenue payments. In the latter case we could follow the rule that's been introduced down south of a transfer embargo in the even of clubs falling behind with the HMRC, in the case of wages the current rules probably already allow them to act, but it's arguable and fraught with difficulty - they'd be have to act on the catch all terms about conduct contrary to the reputation of the league rather than on a specific rule. But that's something that should be looked at, a specific rule that repeated late wage payments would allow the SFL to make points deductions or any action it sees fit, though the emphasis in both these scenarios should very much be on nipping trouble in the bud rather than allowing it to develop to unmanageable limits before any action is taken.

Other ideas like wage caps are good in theory and might perhaps be explored as well but would probably be more difficult both to implement and police. I don't see why those two things I've suggested there should be particularly difficult even within the existing limitations of the SFL's current organisation - both of them are things that are knowable and measurable without anyone needing to employ a small army of accountants.

That's what angers me the most, everyone could see for months and months that Livi was heading for trouble, but I am assuming that the SFL couldn't step in and investigate. I would like to think they would have the ability to do this to every club and any time within the SPL to ensure no rules are being broken while these teams are part of the SFL.

Time consuming yes, but it could maybe be helpful and stop situations like this arising.

  4. If Livi go bust then the 3rd division would play with 9 teams and the SFL would have less costly job of re-imbursing the 9 clubs in that league.

They would not move Airdrie & Cowden back down and leave the 1st with 9 teams.

No, the SFL have made it clear in the event of Livi's demise that the third division would operate with nine clubs.

    Aw well wishful thinking.

  5. I think I would have rather Livi to get a points deduction at this stage rather than relegation to the 3rd or even the 2nd. I am glad it's been shown that they can't carry on the way they have and also it's a warning to other teams not to let it happen or suffer the consequences.

I wish there would have been a way for this to have happened even earlier than last week, or if they weren't "saved" last week and ended up going bust, then the 1st div would play a 9 team league for 2009/10. Which is still my preference as I didn't want Airdrie to get back into the 1st Div. I am just thinking of the play offs and how we work so hard to win that and what it felt like that day to win promotion. Just a no win situation for anyone.

If Livi do now go bust, could Airdrie and Cowdenbeath go back down????? If they can promote teams as easy can they relegate them too!???

  6. I just finished reading PORNO by irvine welsh, prob the best book i ever read. not that ive read many.

You should read Glue by Irvine Welsh, you don't want to put it down. It's a brilliant story about 4 pals in Edinburgh, their lives growing up and what paths they go down. You actually feel like you know them when you have read it! I think if you like Porno and Irvine Welsh you'll defo like Glue.

  7. I read a Good Day to Die by Simon Kernick, it's the second time I've read it, it keeps me on the edge of my seat!!

It's a about an ex London cop who had to hot foot it out he country as he was also a hitman on the side and ended up commiting murders that he shouldn't of.

He goes back to London to avenge the murder of a friend and to find out why he has been murdered, which unravels a series of clues which leads eventually to the truth and to why others along the way have been murdered to keep this secret save. There's lots of twists and turns along the way and obvioulsy at the end justice is done!!!!!

I love this author and have read all his books, everyone is a belter but this one is defo my favourite.
