Don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I've yet to see any real evidence that Ian Murray is actually a good manager.
I know he did well with Dumbarton but he flopped at St. Mirren, failed to take opportunities to pip Cove to the league title with Airdrie then bottled the playoff final, and finished 2nd in the Championship with a squad and budget that should absolultely be achieving that at least, followed by barely even being competitive across these two legs against County.
Find it very weird that his name keeps cropping up when bigger jobs become vacant.

Utter shite. Average attendance more than doubled to average over 4k. Food sales up about 500%. Remember we got rid off Ethan Ross, Brad Spencer and Christophe Berra, Tom Lang and Jamie Mcdonald as they were high earners. All left the club for better money.
Presumably this was all somehow expected then, and it's just a coincidence that new owners took over in the summer signing about 10 very good Championship level players?

That's done, second watch of Rebus now. Rovers disappointingly poor.
I think County are just considerably better than them to be honest, they've been totally in control for the entire game.

Who do we want in the league cup?
The bully wee?
The most winnable group possible, ideally. I'd like us to finally progress in this tournament!

A team who's kit supplier is Joma is about to win a European trophy, the games gone m8.
Leverkusen have Castore FFS, one of the few brands even Joma outranks!

I know Leverkusen are ridiculous when it comes to late comebacks here, but Atalanta are definitely not going to hold back even at 2-0. They've been well on top here!

the other problem with replacing Sheridan is that players of his quality are hard to find and every club is looking for one (or two). I suspect we only got Sheridan because no one, other than Davidson, thought he was a player of that quality. Hopefully Davidson knows of some more, but I wouldn't bet on it.
I'd much rather be in a position where we need someone who can win headers and be a general nuisance to opposition defences than be looking for an outright goalscorer! Fortunately we have one of those, and they're much harder to come by.

In terms of another option up front, Davidson really needs to be looking for essentially someone who brought the same traits as Sheridan to the team, but who can last more than about 60 minutes; good in the air, can hold the ball up, and get behind defenders. They don't need to be a prolific scorer if they work well and Paton carries on doing what he does best.

That feels like the kind of thing that should've been shared by Sunday at the latest as a holding statement while they prepared a real update.

I thought the Palace connection was an Owen Coyle thing since he's pals with Dougie Freedman.

In other news, why does everyone hate Brian Graham?
Because he's a massive p***k, but the sort of p***k you love if he's yours.

I know it doesn't really matter but who would you rather have, Raith or County, for next season? I'll go for County getting relegated - only because I want a couple of games nearer where I live given that Caley decided to go to the seaside.
Raith for me. County are well known for chucking daft money at the Championship when they come down, and bouncing back up straight away. Think Raith staying down would set us up for a very competitive division!

The Pars did piss it and came straight back up.
Last time they did, but they finished 7th in League One in 2015.

Can anyone remind me of the words to that song the Caley supporters sang at us when they won at Hampden last month? It was something about us "going down with the Arbroath".

Even beyond how hilarious this is, it's been a crackin' watch. Thoroughly enjoying two sides just going for it non-stop.

Does anybody know if there's anything in the rules about what happens here when Accies win since The Caley™ are too big to go down?

I will be amazed if Caley somehow pull this back now.

Fantastic stuff. Please just hold out now!

that was some tie. well done rovers but partuick made the tie. it should be 2 up and 2 down cause neither team deserved to lose
Thistle wouldn't have gone up if it were 2 up and 2 down, and we also wouldn't have had this incredibly entertaining tie.

That EK stadium proposal looks like pie in the sky nonsense. I'll believe it when I see it.

Ross County [6] : [1] Raith Rovers

I'm fairly confident that he's not out of contract. When he left us, I was told at the time we offered him another year, Dundee offered two, but County went in with three which is what made it quite an easy decision for him.
