Great news.
Do we know who else is out of contract at the end of the season?
Grant Savoury springs to mind.
Tommy Robson as well, although I think his days at the club are probably numbered, he's definitely struggled for a fair while now.

I see you have no actual argument against my point then.
I do actually. His saves were fantastic, the shots he kept out would have beaten the vast majority of goalkeepers.
Hope that helps!

Every single save he made was straight at him, you’d have been raging if he didn’t stop any of them.
Ryan Mullen just had his 10th (IIRC) clean sheet in our last 14 games, I know who I’d rather have in our goal.A Morton fan without eyes; surprising, normally people from Greenock have three of them.

I'm happy with this - a young guy that adds another option up front. The option to extend at the end of the season also a plus. He made a couple of first team appearances for Hull against Bournemouth and Everton.
Never trust a highlight video on YouTube, Steven Eze's made him look like Maldini in his prime.

Hasn't had much of a career so far but if he's been training with us for a couple of weeks Davidson must see something in him, so he's worth a shot.

You know curses aren't actually real, right?
I don't think anybody is suggesting it's actually magic, what often happens though is that it's awarded to the manager of a team that's overperforming to a degree and is bound to regress somewhat eventually.

The big difference between Tizzard under Veldman and Davidson is that he's not being asked to do things he's clearly not capable of anymore. As an outright defender, who sits deep and does the basics, he's proven himself to be very decent the last couple of weeks.
He's stopped making daft mistakes because he's not being forced into situations where it's easy for that to happen. I'm really pleased for him and hope he can keep it up.

Makes sense that Kane has ended up at Dunfermline if he's just looking to play football. I can't imagine he fancied being an option off the bench for us, but he should start for them.

Why do Morton fans get so upset when people suggest that they're a physical team? I agree that it's occasionally exaggerated, but they're well on track for most yellow cards in the division for the second season in a row. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that being a part of your game, especially when it gets results.

Hes still the only striker in our squad who looks capable of being a lone striker, for me (Sidibeh an unknown, but think him and Kimpioka are too direct so theyll never really hold it up and link play well). So im surprised hes going tbh, but its clear we need players off the book and i suppose you can only sell players that other clubs want.
Cheers. Somewhat surprised to see us linked with another striker to be honest, we also only play with one of them and Ruari Paton is as good as they come at this level. I think he'd start for Dunfermline but probably not for us so I could see him ending up there instead.

Tell me I’m not seeing stories of Kane going on loan to Queens Park or Dunfermline?
What's the surprise? That you'd want rid because you need him, or that he's too pish even for the Championship?

The longer we leave it the harder it becomes. We really need to pick up at least 3 wins in our 5 February fixtures.
Well, that's a good start. 4 isn't impossible...

I had a feeling we'd come here and win comfortably to be honest, Dunfermline aren't very good and we've improved massively.
By far the better team for the full game but we turned it up a level in the second half. Three very good goals too.
Dom Thomas is the best player in this division on his day, and I'll not hear a bad word about him. Some player.
Lovely stuff.

Arbroath and it's not even close. Good pubs, cracking ground, the perfect distance from Glasgow. It's probably my favourite in the whole country.
Went for Raith as number two. I'm not sure it's objectively that exciting but I always end up having a good day there. Probably helps that we've had a couple of really satisfying wins there relatively recently too.
I like Thistle away, but having ground shared there for a whole season recently and played them about a million times in the league/playoffs/cups over the past couple of seasons I'm over the novelty at this stage.
Controversially I think Somerset Park is shite and don't like watching a game of football there whatsoever, so that has an impact on where I'd put Ayr, but overall it'd another decent trip.
I've only ever been to East End Park once, and while I enjoyed relegating them I'd need to experience it again to give it a fair rating, so we'll see if the game there is called off for a third time this weekend or not. Think it has potential though.
Airdrie is by far the worst. Terrible ground, miles from anything at all, can't think of any redeeming features whatsoever.
Don't have any strong feelings on United, Morton, or Inverness. They're all ok.

I said before the Inverness game at the weekend that we'd probably need to win at least 3 of our 5 games in February if we have any chance of avoiding the bottom two, so that victory was a good start.
The positive for me is that we didn't completely collapse again after the Ayr game/result, which was awful. Davidson appears to have instilled a bit more fight and determination in these players, and I also think the squad is objectively stronger after our January signings.
Dunfermline away on Saturday is big for both teams. Win that, which we're certainly capable of doing, and I'll be feeling much better about our chances.

Just watched Joshua Scott's post-match interview. Sounds & looks like a tough b*****d. I like him haha
I like the look of him when he came on, wasn't scared to get stuck in and do the dirty work. Think he could turn out to be a good bit of business.

Big Dunc's post match interview is some laugh, what a raging mess he is. One way or another he's absolutely going to be a failure at Inverness.

This quote has me absolutely pishing myself; yes, Aaron the team who won over 100 games last season and have only gotten better will indeed be a problem.

Stop going off topic, this thread should be full of Caley tears, not shite chat about religion.

Inverness had plenty of the ball today but did very little with it. A poor game, but delighted to get down the road with 3 points.
That's now 3 wins from our last 4 games; if we can carry on at this rate we'll be absolutely fine.

Obviously as an EF fan I want Raith to get pumped, but these butcher's aprons in the away end really get on my tits. Almost every other clubs in Scotland supporters would get these wee fannies chased.
Even on here you'll see the more reasonable Airdrie fans defending it, "part of the club's identity whether we all like it or not", "can't tell other people how to show their support" etc.
The simple truth is they're a horrible club and always will be.

Wilson in (alongside who I'm not sure), Thomson back to midfield, and we're good to go. I'd imagine Crole will get some time off the bench as well.

If we are signing Sheridan until the end of the season it's purely to bulk up the squad and give us another option off the bench. Nothing to get excited about but hardly the end of the world either.
