Been told Graham Hay signing in the next few days
Well done. You do know your stuff.

Formartine have freed him due to his new nightly job in Dundee and won't manage their training etc so has been left.
That explains it, thanks. So the rumour of him going to Gayfield may be true then. Good signing if it does happen.

Already rejected us under Sheerin, was in the paper today saying he thinks he's capable of Prem level
I'm hoping Hislop has a few gems for us from his time in the juniors
Haha! East Fife let him go so he thinks he is still SPL standard.

He's usually right tbf
I'm sure it's because of travelling issues, I'm sure him and Formartine have probably mutually agreed to part ways
Hope you are right and I can see that being a real possibility now you mention it. I believe that the Chairman is very keen to get him but was snookered by the 2-year contract. I also understand that he is a big pal of a current player who has stated that Graham would like to,play for Arbroath.

Derek Riordan is available and is the same age as Shagger, so maybe worth a punt??

He is only 1 year into his 2 year contract at Formatine, so unless the board are going to pay up his £24,000 contract I can't see that happening. Would be happy to be proved wrong, but I think this is a year too early.

Someone did say on one of the forums that Arbroath should appoint a foreign manager!!
Well, he is English
I did put a winking smilie after the foreign manager comment but it didn't come out when I posted! ;-0)

I am also a little surprised at the appointment before the season is concluded. Two games in charge and 4 points thrown away by conceding late equalisers, is hardly inspiring. But, I firmly believe that the Chairman and the Board have the best interest of the club at heart. They may well have seen some significant changes in the dressing room during those games, to realise that the players are happy and willing to play for him.
My initial thought when he got the caretaker role, was he was part of the problem since the new year. Then I put it into perspective and acknowledged that he was actually part of the winning mentality up until the new year, when Arbroath were entertaining and scoring for fun. So between him and Moore something was going well in the first half of the season and it was possibly Moore's man management skills that were the problem after that.
A decent result against Berwick and a decent performance in the play offs (hopefully successful too) will set him up well for next seasons and to get some quality players in. Don't forget many of the current squad will not be at Gayfield come kick off on 8 August so he will have plenty of work to do in the next 3 months.

Get behind Todd on Saturday and cheer the Lichties on to victory.

Where did you hear that?

Semi- 6th and 9th May
Final- 13th and 16th May
As I understand it, Arbroath will be at home for the first leg if they finish 3rd or 4th.
4th plays 2nd bottom in League 1 and 3rd plays 2nd.

Where and when is Mondays AGM take place?
I believe that the AGM is for shareholders only and they will have been sent the details of where & when. I would imagine that it will be at the club, though.

Mcbride is a better LB than LM
I think you are probably correct with that.

RL has done well so far. Could easily be a starter. But competition for places is exactly what manager wants. Sat showed player can step in to other positions. Great news!!!
Totally agree with your last comment. I think there were 4 different line ups in defence. The starting one of Whatley, Nicol, Aldo and McBride. Then when Little came on at half time it was him and Aldo in the middle and Nicol playing in midfield. Then a while into the 2nd half Nicol dropped into RB and Whately was in the centre midfield. Then towards the end I think Little and Nicol swapped back with the former moving to RB. All in all, it was good to see they had the confidence in each other to do that and shows there is versatility in the squad.
I think McBride did well dropping back to LB and didn't look out of place at all.
