  1. Every reason to make it about a child I’d feel ? You’re not gonna become millionaires playing at this level so why not try and make as much money as you can for your family. Coyle seemed incredibly understanding of his situation on the radio. Let’s be honest, if he’s getting an offer that can’t allow us to compete with, it’s going to be a hell of a wage Going forward, it’s a hell of an opportunity for either Henderson or shields to make themselves a hero. Here’s hoping they do the business
  2. Quite possibly but I’m sure there’s many loopholes on how clubs and players can get out of pre contract deals if needs must. It’s not worth the risk to Murray and id imagine that could quite easily be a consideration as to why he may of wanted to leave now ?
  3. Knowing his injury history, say he done his knee again playing for us, would he want to risk potentially losing out on a deal at county where he’s getting substantially more money? I don’t blame him for leaving in all honesty despite how gutting it is for us fans
  4. Just listened to Coyle on bbc radio Scotland. Says Murray got an outstanding offer from county and we couldn’t compete with it at all, especially as he has a baby on the way
  5. I see on Twitter fans going down route of calling him a snake etc. It’s pretty evident he’s left for financial reasons but let’s not forget that’s the main reason he pitched up to us in league 2, let’s not kid ourselves. You’ve got to look out for yourself, that’s the hard reality at this level. Majority of us wanted him binned before the play offs Yes, we helped through his rehab and yes we stood by him even when he was playing very poorly in league 1 but he’s gave many of the support the best moments ever supporting the club and that shouldn’t be forgotten about. He single handedly dragged us through the play offs and has been nothing short of phenomenal in the championship for us. The immediate feeling of his departure is obviously absolutely gutted. It’s ultimately going to have an impact on our season and I do think it’ll rule us out of title race over the next couple months. I’ll wish him all the best, he’s resurrected his career pretty tremendously and he’s been a great fit for us and Qp have been a great fit for him. Easily been one of my favourite players to have played for the club. *furiously begging for county relegation now
  6. Didn’t expect to see two strikers come in this month but I’m not complaining. To have those 3 strikers as options going into the run in is very very good going. Well done Coyle if everything goes through with the signings
  7. Think he’ll do a job ? We need a right back with a bit more about them defensively. Currently we have Jake Davidson who is very handy going forward but against the better teams, he generally struggles with the defensive side of the game Seem to recall oakley being quite liked by the Arbroath fans despite how poor they’ve been
  8. McPake leaving seems the most likely option. Going by Twitter, Rangers are very eager to sell him permanently and equally, he is constantly being linked with numerous teams down south. Shields reportedly wants to join a team that would actually play him up top instead of wide so I’m assuming Euan Henderson would play out wide in the scenario that McPake does depart tomorrow
  9. Was thinking the same thing regarding Williamson. Would love to see how he would get on at a team in league 1 or top end league 2 for a few months. I really like him as a footballer and he’s generally handled the huge step up a lot better than I anticipated. He just needs a run of games at a decent level in him
  10. I’ve noticed he doesn’t seem to be most popular player from what I’ve read online. Been to a couple of Motherwell games this season and seemed to play out wide and looked fairly out his depth. Any chance he’ll do a job in the championship?
  11. Daily record reporting now that we seem to have won the race to sign Connor shields on loan. Genuinely don’t have a clue where he fits considering we have Euan Henderson and Murray up top but will be nice to have options going into some crucial games
  12. You’d hope so. Seen rumours of Ross county in for him today so hopefully a lot rubbish
  13. Have heard shields is coming to us weirdly enough today. Hope to god that doesn’t mean Murray leaves tomorrow
  14. Quantity and quality are two completely different things. Williamson, jakubiak, Sheridan have all made positive impacts on the occasions we’ve played each other and would walk into our squad. Whilst the latter two aren’t particularly amazing, they’re very much competent enough at this level to still contribute. When our first eleven aren’t performing, we’ve generally not had the personnel to counter that issue, especially against the teams around us unfortunately
  15. Can’t stay I’m raging. Incredibly underwhelmed by the performance but we’re top of the league and picked up numerous results where I didn’t think we’d get anything from. You’ll naturally get the Gretna narrative but it’s been an incredible season so far from a squad nobody predicted to be up at the very top. Dundee are clearly very good when it clicks and there’s no shame losing to them away from home. The manner was very disappointing admittedly, we just didn’t lay a glove on youse. Think Dundee will have enough to win the league but it’s been proven in the last month that anyone can pick up a daft and unexpected result so you never know
  16. Again what’s quite evident when playing Dundee is how subs impact games. Today none of our attack clicked whatsoever yet we had nobody on the bench that could change the game. Longridge is past it, Healy has just came in from arthurlie and Williamson is still finding his way since coming from cambuslang. You could only turn to Henderson to potentially help and he only joined this week. In every league encounter this season, at least one of Dundee’s substitutes have scored a goal against us. That tells its own story on how crucial squad depth is if you want to win this league. I’d obviously adore to win the league but we’d get absolutely hounded with this squad in the premiership.
  17. Right back desperately needed. Davidson was awful for the opener. He’s promising going forward but he’s still very naive defensively
  18. God awful performance. Fair play to Dundee, they were miles better. Reality check for sure but doesn’t define our season. A couple signings before Tuesday please We’re still right in the mix and every team is capable of dropping results so let’s just make sure it’s a blip. Thank goodness we don’t play Dundee until the end of the season. They’ve had our number all season and just look generally better than us. Surprised they’ve dropped as many points as they have. They looked far more up for it We’re still top so we shouldn’t be too downhearted at this stage. Massive game next Friday now Let’s just make sure we make the playoffs comfortably first and take it from there
  19. He might just need a run of game in all honesty. For as slow as he was, it’s hard enough for any footballer to gain any sort of momentum if you’re just playing 1 or 2 games every couple of months. Whether cove can afford to have a player that might need several games to get up to speed is another question
  20. I think one league start and a handful of cup appearances tells its own story for Naismith. There’s no doubts he was a fine player 4 years ago but his legs are totally gone. I’m shocked that he’s only 28, you’d think he was about 35 the way he sprints. It didn’t seem like he had enough positional intelligence off the ball to compromise for his lack of pace either All the best to him, I can’t give you a full rundown on him as he barely played enough but I’d imagine he was one of the higher earners in the squad so hopefully leaves room for a signing before the transfer deadline
