  1. It's quite refreshing for me that I know in the grand scheme of all things in our universe, ourselves as physical beings, and our lives, don't really matter. Things will just continue. Star gazing is a tremendous wee pastime though.
  2. Got a B for my dissertation. Considering the main body of it was written in a week, I'm pretty happy. With 2 more A's I should end up with a first class degree, hopefully.
  3. I'd be happy with 3. Think we will get beat off Hamilton and Inverness. ETA: 3 as in 3 wins, I.E. 9 points.
  4. Spilt Fixtures: 23rd April Partick v Dundee 2 May Dundee v Utd (19.45) BT Sport 7 May Dundee v Hamilton 11 May Dundee v Kilmarnock 14 May Inverness v Dundee Depending on results Dundee could relegate Utd at Dens Park.
  5. Hm, isn't he supposed to be quite pacy? He's looked okay whenever I've seen him play.
  6. Aye; gameplay wise MGS was spectacular but as you pointed out, Konami turned into a shiteshow and the story was obviously an afterthought.
  7. MGS was nowhere near better than Fallout 4. It could have been though.
  8. The Celtic TV commentary last night was comical btw. Kept on moaning about how we had no real game plan and just kept lumping up the park; one of the old duffers said that the Celtic defence could deal with that all day long, seconds later one of the long balls was missed by the defender and Loy got through on goal.
  9. Tell you what, if we turned the many draws we've had this season into wins, we'd be bothering Hearts to 3rd place. Ach well, pending a win against Hamilton I'd say Hartley has done another good job this season. Excited to see what the squad will look like next season.
  10. Looking at Shaun Byrne from Dunfermline instead of Mallan now since I believe St Mirren are asking for silly money.
  11. Each of the 5 times he's been one of the best players on the park for us though. I'm sure he'd want some prolonged run in the team.
  12. Brilliant news regarding Kerr. What that means for McGinn however, I don't really know. Will Kerr be happy being cover next season? I know he's Derry'd out his nut, but I'm sure he will want regular football next season.
  13. Took me a couple of tries to figure out what this meant; must be too early.
  14. Wouldn't be so sure. Reckon St. Mirren will want something like 150k.
  15. Apparently St Mirren have knocked back a 60k bid from us for Stephen Mallan.
  16. It's fine, I have somebody. Thank you for your response. Thank you.
  17. Anyone fancy a game of 5s tomorrow at 1pm? Need one person!
  18. I have to agree with him tbh. I just handed in my dissertation yesterday and it was made clear from the get go that supervisors have more than just one student to supervise. Moreover they have other things to do other than to supervise, such as teach classes, prepare lectures, provide feedback for other classes and so on. Has to be remembered that more often than not they are also probably a researcher as well as a lecturer. If you keep in regular contact with your supervisor, and don't f**k them about, they will be more than happy to help you if you need it.
  19. This completely. Absolutely brilliant player, one of the best, hardworking midfielders we've had for a long time.
  20. It has been googled, but I've found conflicting ideas. I don't know if (like I said in the post) I should run 2 t-tests and a oneway ANOVA, or run a 3-way factorial ANOVA, or if there's another one.
  21. Didn't really know where to ask this so just decided to ask here in the hope there are some SPSS experts on here; I have 3 nominal independent variables (2 of them have 2 levels each, and the other one has 4 levels) and 1 scale DV (It's a sum total score). I'm looking to see whether each IV has an effect on the DV, however I'm stuck on what test I use to do this. Do I run simple t-tests for the 2 IV's that have 2 levels, and a one-way anova for the IV that has 4 levels? Or is there another statistical test that I'm just missing completely?
