  1. Long, long way to go, but it's been an encouraging start. However, looking at results from around the league I would say that every point gained will have to be fought for.

I just find teams like BSC just cheat the system, they win there respective league and pay rent to a pro team who has the amenities where teams like ie Lothian Thistle win there league but can't go up do to no funds to get up to the required standard for the LL. There is Kelty spending money on a new terrace and such and giving something back to the community and building for the future. I just used Kelty as an example.

Unfortunately not every team is in the position to own their own stadium, no matter how much we would like to. Dare I say it, but the procurement of land and the need for planning permission (if it was even needed)etc was easier back when many Junior clubs built their grounds.

The reality of modern football in Scotland is that finances are tight, and ground shares may be a way of keeping the number of clubs in the game at a reasonable level.

I must also point out that the rent for ground shares is not an insignificant amount.

Good swerve,a lot more? Aye right how many half a dozen?

Youre kidding nobody, your club are a fanless joke who are an embarrassment to what is supposed to be level 5 of Scottish football.

Reagan and his cronies have cooked up this half arsed plan to have a pyramid but it's nothing near it and everyone knows it.

The sooner the SFA comes under scrutiny from the Govt the better. They couldn't run a piss up in a brewery.

The SJFA aren't great but they've seen through the whole pyramid shambles from the start. The tin lid will be the inclusion of Colt teams in the lower "senior" leagues.

I have no interest in watching my club playing the bigot brothers boys teams with the sort of pond life that will appear at the matches.

You really shouldn't let your bitterness consume you, life is too short.

As I said, have a good season.

v Selkirk how many paid in?

Certainly a lot more than you quoted.

While I would love to indulge your petty vandetta,  I am not prepared to engage with someone who resorts to petty name calling.

    Have a good season.

Patches, you  played in front of an attendance of 18 at a home game in Alloa.

Thst is a fact as the person I spoke to was there and counted them!

I have been to every home game, and I'll say it straight out, your "friend"is lying! Can you ask him for the game details and I will confirm this?

People criticise BSCG, Cumbernauld and Edusport but somewhat simplistically.

Cumbernauld are a huge long-standing youth and amateur club. They're the main tenants and users of Broadwood (which Clyde wants to leave). They've already began building up a support and are clearly a viable outfit. They've finished quite high in LL and even qualified for SPFL Challenge Cup last season... They eliminated Auchinleck Talbot from the Scottish Cup. I was at the South Challenge Cup Final last month and they brought through hundreds of fans. They're doing perfectly well.

Edusport have won their way in by promotion: they're licensed, they won SOS league, they had a right to ascend. If the Juniors were in the pyramid that may well have been different.

BSCG is harder to defend due to the ground situation, granted, playing first at Ashfield then at Maryhill and now at Alloa. (They did take Auchinleck to a Scottish Cup replay though).

We never played at Ashfield HJ.

I hear that BSC play to "crowds" of less than 20 at Alloa.

The credibility of the LL will not improve whilst clubs like BSC,Cumbernauld Colts and Edusport are in it.

The fact that Edusport are anywhere near it is a total joke.

I find your obsession with BSC funny, Infact I take great joy in the knowledge that our existence annoys you so much.

Your first statement is wrong, but I'll let you go with what you "hear". Of course our first choice is to play in Glasgow, but the simple facts are that procuring land is not that easy in the area.

Why shouldn't new clubs be allowed to enter into things? Were Clydebank created with a ready made history? Your views reflect on a wider opinion that only long established clubs are credible. So what do New teams do, just give up and not try it. Where is the long term thinking in that?

A bit of topic but is there any progress on BSC getting a ground back in the city?

BSC are tirelessly working to get their own ground, and not resting on their laurels. However the purchase of land in Glasgow City is not as straightforward as it seems. They are committed to forming a base in Glasgow.

The fact that this "club" can get to the 5th level of Scottish fitba shows the deep flaws with the licensing system, it makes a mockery of it and the half arsed Pyramid.

As long as you tick all these boxes on a form, no need to worry too much about actually being a proper football club within a community. This also applies to BSC. It's typical SFA.

What qualifies you as "proper football club"?

I also mentioned I have defended yous many times on that front!

I just think that your location at present might put a lot of Glasgow or surrounding area based players off given the amount of junior or even LL competition in the area to which many of your squad at present were brought in from Mark's u20s.

Anyways good to have brought a wee bit life to the LL forum as it's been deed for weeks now :D

    Point taken.

    I agree about the forum.

  11. should have left earlier then !

I presume this tie will just be scrapped now ?

What are they supposed to do if there is an accident? A lot of these boys will have jobs or be at college, it's not always possible to leave early.

  12. I think that if any of the clubs down here joined, you may see an exit of some of the existing clubs. Travel costs at our level prohibit any D&G involvement.

What needs to happen first of all is to sort out the ridiculous registration rules that prohibit SYFA registered player's turning out for their parent club.

    This is 100% correct.

  13. Anybody throw any information about the upcoming season teams in the u20s league ? The Edinburgh city website say their team is going to the spfl development league. Preston are getting a team together but don't know if Cumbernauld or BSC are putting teams in. Was a good league last year and as HJ said in his post, the more the merrier.

    Hi Hat

BSC Glasgow have entered. The SPFL development idea will not go ahead until next season for teams in the Lowland League.
