  1. Paul Heffernan? Am i correct in saying he's an ageing injury prone has been?
  2. Nice of Hartley to say have a look at Heffernan, if he was that good he would still be at Dundee. Still mibbes it was a piss take on Hartley's part and Houston didn't get the joke.
  3. Dammit! He's no chance of starting for us, he's deluding himself if he thinks otherwise. That said he could be amongst fellow shite if the other no marks mooted for the striking department sign. Draw straws.
  4. Liam Craig trained with us before the queens park game but did not feature in the match according to the scotsman.
  5. how? I would and i wouldnt think twice either, i didnt buy it to watch duffers like heffernan and McShug, we arent a skint club so we shouldnt be signing more people that masquerade as footballers, we already have David Smith doing a sterling job of that.
  6. Thats a fair point, but ive saw heffernan a few times and he was god awful, great at getting caught offside tho. I like your optimism tho
  7. Perhaps because by and large his player recruitment has been awful. He seems totally incapable of recruiting anyone out with Scotland, with the exception of Morgan on a recommendation of the genius that is Billy Reid! And we all know how that panned out. I dont think its too much to ask to sign one player that has a good c.v and makes you think "yeah nice one" .
  8. Yes i will. Heffernan should not even be near our club, old pals act with Maybury and McDonaugh. The guy has done nothing of note since his Killie days, i see no reason why he will be any good for us, and he has had his fair share of injuries. We deserve better than him. I dont mean a Kris Boyd but surely there are better than a 33yr old freebie has been.
  9. Aye a hankie to blow his nose! If Heffernan signs for us my season ticket is getting sent back. Had enough of cast offs from teams in the central belt, it really isn't good enough, i had high hopes he would get it right this season but no, same old unambitious signing targets.
  10. He also got sent off and he was on the subs bench, can't recall if that was the same game!
  11. At least you have signed 5, we have lost our best forward and keeper and signed nowt!
  12. Good Luck to him, have to question his ambition though he's not going to be an automatic pick there, just hope we get a better replacement.
  13. We will sign 3 or 4 players at once, like last year, it may be a case of the players housty want are on holiday like himself and/or waiting to see what their options are, granted most of the champioship have signed players but apart from Carmichael and Boyle at Hibs there arent any that have signed with other clubs that you think "wow he's a great signing"
  14. He must be a Falkirk fan as apparently he told Alex Smith he had been wanting to sign for us for four years before he actually did
  15. Yeah 18 months i think, Baird has since signed a 1yr deal with the option of a further year.
  16. Not surprising, but wish him well, was a decent enough keeper, but thats about it. We have had worse and better.
  17. Botti Biabi the poor mans Raheem Sterling lookalike that came on as a sub in the Cup Final.
  18. If we can sign two decent strikers which is easier said than done, plus a midfielder and defender, and keep everyone else we will have a decent chance of top four, rumour has it that english sides are looking at Botti.
  19. I'd agree it can only be for money, they certainly aren't any better than us on the park and they have hardly any team left. Will be interesting to see how Murray does with them though, i thought he did ok at Dumbarton although they were pretty poor last season. Hibs don't have a keeper at mo i wouldn't be surprised if Macdonald ended up there, they could certainly afford to throw a few bob at him.
  20. I think we need two decent strikers, a goalscoring midfielder, RB, possibly a keeper depending on what Macdonald does. I'd be quite happy with that so long as there were no other departures, with the exception of Smith and Cooper obviously who can go anytime they like.
  21. I heard Clarkson wants to stay in the Prem and personally i wouldn't touch Miller, too injury prone. I do think we will sign two strikers just not those two. We need a goalscoring midfielder and a new RB, possibly a keeper if Jamie goes, can't really understand why he would want to go to Killie, it's not like he would be automatic pick, when you consider Samson has just been called up to the Scotland squad, whereas he would be guaranteed a game with us. Another ex jambo in Kello been mooted as a replacement if he does go.
