  1. Kinda makes you wonder why they never took Agyeman...
  2. They have made some decent signings, any of them I'd have been happy to see sign for us.
  3. I live in hope that one or two more leave us.
  4. McGinn won't last forever, and expecting him to play another full season might be a stretch. We could certainly do with another option.
  5. Wonder if there might be a bit of a fire sale at Partick. Seem to be a bit strapped for cash.
  6. I think Arfield will come back but probably after he's had another season or two in the premiership and be a bit similar to McGinn in the fact we will probably get him when he's on the downslope to winding up his playing career.
  7. The last thing we need is another striker who struggles to score goals. And O'Hara wasn't great first time around.
  8. I didn't mind PJ, he was as good as the loan keepers we had, certainly Kinnear who he couldn't get a game in front of. That said he was out for a while with injury, when he got back fit McGlynn seemed to think he had lost some confidence. He was a permanent signing so to not get a game in front of a loan keeper probably made his mind up to try pastures new. I'd be amazed if McGlynn hasn't already had talks with MacDonald in a player/coach role as Bobby Geddes had just left the club. Not sure I'd want MacDonald back but realistically he's probably as good a keeper as your going to get in league 1. And we currently have no keepers.
  9. Ross County were never in it until the penalty, that said even if County had gone down old Roy might not have had it all his own way writing cheques, Goodwin will be well backed at Utd as will Queens Park and Caley look a decent outfit Thistle missed the boat today but a handy side. Looking at the championship playoffs we are absolutely miles behind and if by some miracle McGlynn gets us up it's a complete rebuild job again. None of our current squad are good enough to compete at the top end of that league. Middle to bottom maybe.
  10. Nesbitt is a sand dancer who plays when it suits him. He's won a watch getting kept for another two years. I'd have chased him.
  11. Welcome to Hamilton, Cove, Annan and Stirling. Farewell Dunfermline, Airdrie, Clyde and Peterhead
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if Jamie MacDonald rocks up at TFS sometime in the next week as player/coach taking over from Bobby Geddes. Nor would I be surprised if Brad Spencer joins him.
  13. I thought some of the Puma strips were ok up until the last few seasons when they became pretty awful. Probably the best offering was the one with the landmark details on the sleeves imo, that was unique and not just a generic template. I just hope there isn't a giant carrot(slug) over the front of it this season.
  14. Can I belatedly say this has been good fun, hopefully the league 2 guys enjoy it as much as we have. Thanks to yourself sir.
  15. That training gear is about as ganting as the players wearing it. Looks cheap, I always thought joma stuff was pretty naff but this lot might just take that mantle. One can only hope the actual strip at least looks semi decent and nowhere near the horrific kit they lumped Ayr with.
  16. A distant second I might add. McGlynn will sabotage us. Absolutely no faith in the guy sorry. He's not the right bloke to take us forward and he will get found wanting again imo.
  17. Airdrie bodied us in the playoffs, looking at Accies in the playoff final they would have bodied us aswell all over the park. Now if you want to pretend that the likes of Nesbitt, Donaldson, Oliver and co can stand up to that to win a league then your kidding yourself on. Too many shitebags not enough winners. Kinda is though or at least a fair bit of it.
  18. In McGlynn we trust fear not he's won promotion twice one being handed to him due to a global pandemic.
  19. Who's moaning? McGlynn signed them bar McKay and McCann, you couldn't really say Leon had a bad season he certainly kept Mackie away from his spot for the most part who was meant to be our new left back but was gash. But I'll roll with it let's see.
  20. But that gets me is he was bleating on about conceding too many goals. If your keeping the entire defence that played a significant part in that then how does he hope it's going to get better? A new keeper who is decent will help but when you have a combination of Donaldson/Mackie/McKay in front of you they are still going to gift chances and goals. Is Watson going to be the saviour if he gets fit and earns a deal in pre season I don't think so. He needs to try and shift more imo especially when we are a bit top heavy at centre half if you factor in Henderson.
  21. Was almost a stick on Oliver would be staying he's one of McGlynn's favourites. Still a downer though. Not surprised PJ has left. When you sign a permanent keeper then he can't get a game for loanees one of whom was no better, then that's got to be a bit of a kick in the nuts. Looking at the retained list it's not great, McGlynn will really need a good few additions of much better quality.
  22. That's the bit I don't get the FSS didn't get the uptake they'd hoped for so now are borrowing to plug a gap. I'm not convinced this is a good thing but without knowing the full ins and outs I'll wait to see what tomorrow brings.
  23. If he has I hope his first act is to pay Arfield's wages.
