  1. The lot! Seriously our initial release list has no real surprises bar maybe Burrell although I think he'll go back down south although McPake seemed to quote him so maybe end up there. The rest are all under contract or have year options. If you wanted the likes of Leon back or Morrison you'd need to pay a fee. There's not much else you'd want really. The loans ie Kennedy, Kucheryavi were our best players.
  2. There's absolutely no way Scott Arfield is signing for us in league 1, he might after another two seasons plying his trade elsewhere and just want a swansong to finish his career. A bit similar to McGinn who's best days are behind him. This I want to finish my career back where I started is commendable but its more romance than anything else. Get used to us picking up the likes of Agyeman, maybe cherry pick another one or two from league 1/bottom end of championship, trialists and loans. More chance of signing Josh McPake than Arfield ffs.
  3. There's absolutely no fucking chance we are getting promotion with Pingu. I'm sorry but Rankin, Bartley and Hartley will outsmart him. For it to be pretty critical to get up this season according to Swinney f**k me you've backed the wrong horse. Do you not look at stats!
  4. It will exactly go that way. It'll be someone else ending up with someone else's players. I wouldn't trust McGlynn to go to the shop for a loaf. Utter shite state of affairs but as per the club will roll out some media pish about the forthcoming season. I'm sorry but I can't and won't back McGlynn.
  5. We have just got rid of one in Williamson. Granted the p***k got injured walking into a breeze.
  6. I quite like Tumilty I'd have no issues with him signing for us I don't think he will though. Right back as been a problem for yonks although Rowe did an ok job compared to some of the shite we have had there in recent seasons.
  7. More chance of Regan Tumilty although I think he'll end up back in the championship at worst.
  8. Yogi. He's did his stint and his last few jobs have been a disaster. His stock is on the wane although he keeps applying for jobs in the premiership so his ego is still going strong at least. No thanks. McCall, obvious choice but he knocked us back before, not sure he'd come back. Knows how to win this league though. Alan Maybury, did a decent job at Edinburgh. Stuart Petrie at Montrose did well for them. Kevin Thomson same at Kelty before he quit. Then you've got those doing punditry work, John Robertson, Neil McCann, David Hopkin. And not forgetting the usual names like Jim McIntyre, Brian Rice. Could Smith do a better job without McGlynn? Who knows, personally I'd go for McCall.
  9. Trebuchet wins for me. Patience was wearing thin with him given the performances and results, the cup semi and playoff disaster just put the lid on it. What was also quite alarming was the players seemed to have thrown the towel in, if they start that he might be out a job quicker than he thinks. I think if he his kept which looks likely he'll be gone by Christmas possibly before.
  10. Thought Accies were the better side but if you can't keep the back door shut with five minutes to go and your big haddy of a striker misses a glorious chance at the end, then penalties are are a lottery. Personally I think Airdrie played some good stuff over the season and I think they will bring more to the championship than Hamilton. Accies have one or two decent players though if they can keep them, add a decent striker or two they'll be hard to beat.
  11. Don't be ridiculous ofcourse he will. But fear not without Airdrie scooshing the league, Cove going full time will mean Hartley outdoing him and Rankin getting a decent striker or two and we are nowhere near it again. Not to mention QoS under Bartley.
  12. I think that's part of the problem, the club know that, they can rely on pretty much the same level of season tickets, merchandise etc to be sold regardless of the crap on the park and the excuses made for it. McGlynn trots out the "the club are thankful for your support" line at any opportunity, it's like it's been a clause inserted into his contract
  13. I've not accepted McGlynn is staying the p***k can do one for me but as you say there was no apology nor has there been anything from the board to say he's our clown we are keeping him. It's alright for Pingu to bleat on and on about "phase 2" how about the club actually confirming it, or are they shitting it aswell.
  14. 5. Improvement on last season not that it would have been difficult. Performances up to a point with Alegria in the side were good. Got nowhere near Dunfermline in the league. We never turned up in the big games which is exactly like us apart from the Ayr game. Performances and results poor for months towards the end of the season, and any goodwill towards McGlynn evaporated and now most not all I think feel he's not up to the job. Really can't be arsed with him in charge again next year basically because he won't change his tactics and is a stubborn buffoon. That will also have a bearing on where I think we will finish next season, for me it won't be 1st. Edit to add if he's still here. I hope he isn't but the deafening silence from the board would suggest he stays. They need grow a pair and make a statement one way or the other.
  15. Given the amount of flapping he does you can only hope one day he might take flight.
  16. You could see he has similarities to Sheerin in that respect. His dig at the support “you wanted two strikers so we gave you two strikers so then you moan that the shape is wrong. Shape has nothing to do with it” was him saying “I know best” when clearly, the penny hasn’t dropped that younger coaches have moved on, and he is left with his outdated system, and in fact, he doesn’t know best….not by a long chalk. Spot on. I couldn't help but think this clown doesn't know what he's doing. It's absolutely the wrong choice to keep him and it will end in failure, I just think this is going to be one clusterfuck too many. I really hope I'm wrong
  17. It is good enough if you have the right player. Alegria was doing an ok job of it. He never got replaced.
  18. It should also be noted that Alloa had a cobbled together defence and I think Andy Stirling finished the game playing centre half due to other injuries during the game and the red card. I think that's a good indication of why they managed to score the goals because looking at them tonight they have absolutely nothing up front it's no wonder they found themselves at the foot of the championship. They will at some point have to open up a bit in the second leg if they are trailing and I think Airdrie will pick them off.
  19. Decent game tbh. Hamilton were a lot better than I expected them to be. Really don't have much up front though which could be the difference. Airdrie I thought weren't really in it but got better as the first half went on. Much better second half for them. Great finish by Smith for the goal I thought they would then go on to get one or two more but credit to Accies for hanging on in. The red card late didn't really affect the game. Too tight to call this, it really could go either way and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes all the way to a penalty shootout.
  20. Pretty decent watch tbh. Hamilton big physical dominated early but look like they have nothing up front, Airdrie not in it but coming more into it as the half wore on. They do have something up front but can't get the service to them. I think if Airdrie get the opener I can see them getting a few. The boy Smith for Hamilton has had a great game so far he's not allowing McCabe a chance to get on the ball and dictate.
  21. If he breaks down in pre season it's not on us, if he comes through it maybe a six month deal. He's not getting any younger. Or pay as you play. Watson would be too much of a gamble for me to offer him longer.
