  1. Interesting that your chairman and a large proportion of your fans seem to be wholly comfortable that we have earned the right to be crowned champions, as well as claim the prize money that accompanies that honour, but think we shouldn’t be promoted.

At least have the self respect to admit your only motivation here is benefitting from the tangerine pound [emoji28].

Btw if we aren’t doing null and void, which isn’t on the table, then how should the prize money be split? On the basis of current league position? If so, Dundee are only 15 points off bottom, how can we be sure they wouldn’t have at least finished in the relegation playoffs?

You’re kinda following a circular argument here. If on the basis of current league position we don’t qualify for that payment then how is it right United get promoted?
  2. Top 16, Championship 16 and league one 16. No relegation, promote all in play-off positions including Highland/Lowland league. Relegate 4 and promote 2 the following two seasons.
Next season cant over-run because of the Euros, The following year a world cup to accommodate. We don't know when next season will start. One of the projections from this week was October.
So we either reconstruct now or end up gubbing 3 seasons for not doing it.

Well said. Exceptional times call for exceptional measures.
  3. Can’t speak for the rest of the Dee support but I left Dundee at 12.30 and arrived at the ground for the start of the 2nd HALF!
Took over 80 mins to reach the Friarton bridge only for the Glasgow turn off to be closed. Redirected through Drum (it’s a place believe me). Had to drop her off in Glasgow first then off to Greenock.
Gates at the ground closed so under an unlocked roller shutter door and in.
Utter shite from Dees after all that *

    * Only my 2nd visit to Cappilow, last was in Sept 1974.
We were beaten then as well.

  4. I personally can't wait for the charge up the table and the change of attitudes.

I too cannot wait for the charge up the table. My opinion if it is Dodds however will not change.
Many of us moved heaven and earth to keep our club alive after we were mismanaged into the debacle that required the sterling effort by supporters through Dee4life to keep our club going.
While this was happening Dodds was trying to kill it.
Was he owed money, undoubtedly, but when he squares this off with making excuses to try to keep (Old) Rangers afloat and denying their creditors the same recourse (ultimately failing 'cos as we know that club died) he became a pariah to me.
If he had a shred of dignity he would simply say, sorry Jim, I can't take this job.
    It's a no from me.
  5. Offloading Wighton and bringing in Miller doesn't look like a good bit of business IMHO. However, selling Wighton and re-investing some or all of that cash (and maybe a bit of the Hendry money too) on Shankland/Swanson/random French or Finnish winger/young loanee from English Premiership doesn't look as daft...

I agree. It's unlikely to happen though.
If it does then you are Neil McCann and I win the prize for outing you.
  6. Agree with Biggie here. The quality of the team today was heads over what was served up last year, ( ok, first quarter and teams learn to play each other in the second quarter) However I saw major improvements on last year.
Clearly we all agree that Moussa is not a footballer, however many aspects of his game are commendable. Unfortunately as a striker you must be able to strike and in this aspect he is clearly wanting.
We desperately need someone to come in and do a job. I had hoped that Craig would be the answer but is not the target man that McCann wants.
Today however I am not too despondent as over the years our results against Aberdeen have not defined our season, in fact had we gained the point we deserved today it would have. Been an improvement.
    On to the Saintees...

  7. Earliest memory Rangers (before they died) v Dundee at Ibrox, Scottish Cup 1974, 3-0 Dundee in front of 64,000 crowd. My brother in law, his dad and me. We went in the wrong end and transferred to the stand ( you could do that then) Every time the Dees scored I bumped a big Bear in front of me and knocked his Tammy off. After the third went in he stood up and blocked the Sun, turned round, threw his Tammy on the floor and said, that's some team ye've goat there son. To this day, the Bruv in law swears he thought he was about to die.
I went to every game in that cup run except the Semi (it was a school night) Celtic won 1-0 and went on to win the final against....

  8. Na, it's urinals only. Considering the amount of times I've sat in there and watched many touching cloth performances, it's a wonder I've never had to leave early or get a pitchside escort to the Coxy bogs.

There's two at the top right looking from the pitch, tbf they only get used by the half time tabbers [emoji849]

  9. Allegedly most of the squad thought so as well.

Probably explains why most of the team were constantly injured.
If ever there was an argument for a Physio being a hairy ersed brickie wi calluses on his hands it was Karen.
Players constantly feigning injury and when she runs over to treat them the first thing she's told is "It's ma baws "...
