  1. Keeper suspect at the first goal. Midfield anonymous. Adams too isolated. Porteous’ wild challenge and sending off killed the game before half time, if it wasn’t dead and buried beforehand.

    Outplayed and outclassed.

Fingers crossed for a much improved performance against the Swiss - who are no mugs.

Hopefully we’re still in with a shout of qualifying by the time I get to Stuttgart for the Hungary game…

I actually felt Craig was passable, or as much as it was possible to be in that team, during our League One relegation season and I didn’t hate us signing him permanently, but he had a scarily awful drop off last season. Rodden and Nyamsi-Hendji were hilarious bad as well. Our best left-back that season was probably Paul Kennedy, given Quitongo hardly played, and even then he was a centre-midfielder and not very good. Pleased to see Quitongo had a good season as his injury was horrible to see live.

Jordan Stewart was absolutely fine until he lost his place to McNiff in the goalscoring form of his life. Certainly an improvement on almost anything we signed the season after. Liam Allison :lol:Livingstone was passable during both spells but he never convinced me fully, especially defensively. Docherty would have been a good signing had we signed him five years previously and you could see that he knew what he was doing. Age had definitely caught up with him though.

Scott Linton was magnificent and I miss him so much.

A few truly woeful names in there. Any serviceable left-back would have me delighted. Serviceable is often all you need at this level.

The fact you’re saying Paul Kennedy was our best left back that season shows how shocking our choices in that position were!

  3. I agree £19 for L2 isn’t great value for money but most of the clubs are there or there abouts in terms of their pricing. East Fife are £18 and others are £17 etc etc.

I’d be more outraged if we were £5, £6 or £7 more expensive but £1 or £2 isn’t an issue for me.

All down to personal preference and circumstances if it’s an issue or not i suppose.

Let’s throw a party for your opening patronising and condescending sentence…

I am one of the lucky one that an extra couple of £s per game wouldn't make a differencewhether go or not.

Lucky you’re not chocolate you might eat yourself- could write the losses off against tax though I expect!

  5. Personally £2 extra a game for me isn’t an issue but for others it may be over 2 or 3 games a month.

I think it would have softened the blow if the club had also announced they were capping the raise even if we are promoted this season and are in L1 next season.

Well it does make a difference to those who go to the effort of travelling. It's a very much "f**k them" attitude.

It's not a go at Clyde (well obviously it is as they're charging it) it's just a joke to be charging folk £19 for a L2 game. Said for years league prices should have a cap but I doubt it'll happen.

Is there any club in Scotland (or anywhere for that matter) who charge less for away fans than they do the home fans?

Thats a genuine question as I don’t recall seeing that anywhere.

ETA: I would be surprised if the cost to away fans was a consideration in this decision by the club. They’re not in place on the board to greatly worry about how costing will affect away fans imo, especially in L2 with the extremely small away crowds. Say 10 or 20 decide not to go due to the increase out of maybe 75-100 for example who would have before, it’s not a real blow each home game. I would imagine Away crowd figures won’t factor into the budget to greatly in L2 or even L1.

Outwith the Championship away crowds are dire.

I have made this for going to Cologne.  It is using the font for the German rock band Rammstein and one of their songs is called Deutschland.

Design was my own but my mate Lees Tees in Dundee got the tees and sorted me out.  I think he can print anything and does a mail order service.  I might need to iron them before I wear them 🤣

someone make up a transfer rumour plz

Aaron Wilford, Marc McCusker, Dan Kirkup and Mickael Marsiglia all spotted in Nandos in Hamilton. Overheard doing a sweep on what month Cuddihy will get his customary long-term injury and also LOLing at EK and Mick Kennedy losing the promotion playoff.

Anyone who’s watched them regularly this season knows it’s a good team and the league position wasn’t a fair reflection of their ability and team spirit.

A lot of young players have developed well over the past year, and some experienced players missed chunks of the season due to injury. I’ve got no problem with Agnew keeping the core of his current squad. Great collective spirit that can be built on and it isn’t something you can buy.

I’ve never known a good team to finish bottom of league 2.

You got progressively worse as the season went on and deservedly finished bottom.

Team spirit is all well and good but it next to useless if you’re players aren’t very good.

Taking blind faith to a whole new level with this take.

Should go to a public vote each season imo. East Kilbride? Nah. Linlithgow Rose? Come on up!

We could do a Eurovision style points system and go live around the grounds.

On the third goal, I really find this Stranraer squad quite an unlikeable bunch. You've just sealed league status and you're almost entirely encircled by your own fans but the guy runs across the park to celebrate right in front of the EK support. If the team had dedicated as much effort to being good at football this year as they have to being sore winners, perhaps yesterday wouldn't have been necessary to begin with.

    I’m 100% all for this.

he was running in that direction and at the EK end of the stadium when he scored, too. It’s not like he did an Adebayor at the Etihad.

  12. Congratulations to everyone connected to Stranraer. The feeling when the second goal in particular went in must’ve been incredible.

Quite enjoyed the seethe from the EK fans throughout that vlog and the GIRUY from the scorer of the 3rd goal and Stranraer team in general. Football is brilliant when you’re on the right side of that.

I’d also like to add a GIRUY to Mick Kennedy, Si Ferry and EKFC in general, including their Twitter admin.

I hope Tranent Juniors beat you to the title next season.
