  1. Report on today's game here - https://www.rangers.co.uk/article/rangers-kick-preseason-off-with-thistle-match/29BZPWmP01aTYCsBK3xw81.

Our line up was Sneddon, Muirhead, Brownlie, Akinola, Milne, Docherty, Bannigan Turner, Smith, Tiffoney, Graham.

McMillan was on the bench with two trialists and five apprentices. Mitchell, Holt, Lawless and Dowds were not in the squad.

Cole McKinnon was on the Sevco bench.

Richarlison to Spurs is done, but the weird interest in Anthony Gordon has apparently stopped (if it ever existed).

Will be a shame seeing Richarlison's insane antics elsewhere.

So where does he and Perisic fit into Conte's' preferred 3-4-3 formation?

Richarlison could presumably as Kane and Son are automatic starters.

Kulusevski impressed after his arrival last season

Levy would be crazy to sell Son to Real Madrid if their rumoured interest is "real".

This years loan from Rangers to Thistle is Cole McKinnon.

Really nice wee player. A typical No.8. Has the physicality to handle mens football. Scored in the last game of the Premiership against Hearts.

Probably confirmed officially later this afternoon.

His new 3 year Sevco deal was announced yesterday.

Not sure about the shorts but brilliant top.

That top is lovely. Initially a bit surprised by the white shorts because I’m so used to black being our third colour, but I think the whole kit has grown on me already. It’s quite a retro look.

The away kit's black shorts would look good with home top and socks.

The top half could be real, the Kingsley bottom is hopefully a wind-up or a promotional joke.

Agreed and who would buy it and wear it on match days? It would be a huge commercial risk and O'Neills are very switched on.

They did a half home/half away strip last year. It's possible that they are releasing a Kingsley top and that could be a promotional mash-up.

I'm still hoping for a return to hoops this year.

Happy with that but the white shorts look a bit out of place.

The away kit's black shorts could look good with it.

    Strange one. Bellerin is dump.

Arsenal are not going to let a 27 year old go on a free at this early stage in the window.

It's a classic try-on because Bellerin would be able to get a bigger signing-on fee if he was released.

He is in the last year of his contract. Arsenal will offer him to other clubs to force Real Betis to cough up some cash.

    Embarrassing.

Imagine trying to attract new players and telling them they have to dress up like a child.

    Hopefully Jacobsen tests positive too!

Jacobsen fully deserves his spot, but considering QST aren't sending a GC prospect I think it foolish not to pick Cav too. A first week crash could easily bin their whole tour.

A similar thought had crossed my mind too. A Covid positive could derail the sprint train. Cav was back to best when winning the British national road title at the weekend. He was aggressive and out-thought his rivals.

Lefevre is a stubborn b*****d with a huge ego. Bennett was his number one sprinter last year and he looked embarrassed by Cav's four wins in the Tour. He is not going to risk a repeat this year unless Jacobsen is ill or injured.

Arsenal making sensible moves again. Man Utd in the mud. Will be interesting to see how much further behind the top 5 they'll fall.

Arsenal have lots of players that they need to move on.

It's clear that Runnarson, Bellerin, Mari, Maitland Niles, Torreira and Nelson have no future at the club.

Arteta also needs to offload dross like Leno, Holding, Tavares, Elneny and Pepe too.

Do you reckon what we might eventually receive for rudden would more or less cancel out the sum we’d have to pay qots? Imo unless it’s a ridiculous amount, we should just pay whatever it is. I think fitzy will be great for us this season and really compliment tiff by giving us a threat down the opposite side. Something about the signing feels a bit like fate to me that he’s going to be brilliant for us should we sign him.

We should get considerably more for Rudden than what we might have to pay the Doonhamers for Fitzpatrick. Rudden was with us far longer, played many more games and was capped at U21 level during that time. Sevco will be due part (20%) of what we get for Zac.

Are thistle bringing out a new home kit? If so do you know when? Can't seem to find any info online regarding this.

We generally release the away kit first to promote sales. The home kit follows a few weeks later. O'Neills did a good job with retro kits too so there could be more to come. I assume that Jack McMillan is wearing the new training top in this photo on the club website.

Did people not say that about Allegria before he joined us though

    https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/who-tony-weston-rangers-goal-26422195

"Itten was hooked at half-time in the weekend ‘B’ team clash against Celtic and was substituted again, this time on the hour mark, against the Spiders. And that was all the time his replacement Tony Weston needed to fire a double and take his tally for the season to a staggering 35 goals."

"Many took to Twitter and one wrote: “Tony Weston has smashed in 35 goals so far this season for our ‘B’ squad - more than double the next player and 22 more than Juan Alegria. Young lad is on flames.”

I point blank refuse to believe that anyone would turn down the chance to offload Maguire. Thats too baffling to be real

It would depend on how much Maguire is valued at in the deal. United will be amortising Maguire's crazy £80m transfer fee over the length of his contract which runs to 2025. To accept a low offer/valuation would result in a big financial hit which they can't afford. It's still hard to believe that Maguire cost more than Van Dijk. 😂

    This is ridiculously good now.

The Pet Shop Boys know how to put on a spectacular show. They don't penny pinch to line their own pockets.

It's very sad that the technical hitch caused us to miss the band, the dancers and light show earlier.

I have put them on my big screen with sound through the hifi.  It's truly amazing now!
