The south stand (even if there's barely any of you) after some pansies in the Main Stand wet the bed over having Morton fans in it a few weeks ago.

Don't worry, Billy's probably onto it and it'll definitely be cheaper than getting "outsiders" in I'm sure.

That hat trick game was the best he's ever played against us, I don't think he's scored in most of the games against us which is a relief with him being such a top player.
Dumfries has some lovely pubs, highly recommended the Caven Arms for some cheap, good food, head over the bridge towards the ground and you'll see a couple of pubs on your left, about a 5 minute walk to the away end.
the cavens arms is not cheap .

For all intents and purposes Queens are a full time club in name only.
The number of staff, the squad size, the playing budget, all equates to part time.
With 13 senior players going into the first league game it is clear that there is no money, or at best a little bit left. Even compared to part time teams in the league.
With that in mind I think 1 defeat in the first 5 games against full time or part time clubs is an okay start. Neither gloomer or clapper.
I think if you had been hoping for a lose to Motherwell and then to beat Annan, Dumbarton, Morton and Arbroath with a squad of 13 players it would have been unrealistic as this part of the season.
as i have been saying for years . time for mr hewitson to open his wallet . use some money from the flats built on qos land . or the £300 k spent on the changing rooms . 13 players is not enough for any club . i dont want to see palmerston used for housing which i believe is the end game

Aye, I walked in to that. I mind an infamous discussion on here about Dumfries not being the Borders, so apologies, I was close to asking someone if rugby was their first love!
Do you think you'll push for playoffs this season or end up mid-table?
Glad you enjoyed yourself though. I'll take 8th right now.
with a squad off 13 players i would be delighted with 8th

last time i was at gayfield was the promotion year 1985 . drew 1-1 . went up to old league 1 . on the way out off gayfield we got ambushed by aberdeen casuals . the 80s were the good old days .

Why is it always the boards fault how is it not our fault the fans meaning are we expecting too much have we lived the dream for 10 years . May 2008 we took over 15000 to a cup final we now average less than 1400 Home fans roughly 800paying £18 per game 400 paying a £10 200 less than a fiver approx £19400 per game x18 home games £349200 a season if you divided by 18 players it averages £19400 per player ( yes I know players are on more and on less per year ) but there are appearance money and win bonus to be paid as well . The club are trying hard to make money away from a home Saturday . We have very loyal fans who dig deep all the time to support club which is fantastic and it would help the club if the away fans turned out in similar numbers to what queens fans take to away games . Queens money problems are similar in 75% of clubs in Scotland. My main wish is we could develop home grown players but this is so hard due to the lack of help in funding a good youth system this is not just down to the club but how sfa want clubs to develop players and how they want to help which is very little
I am confident Alan and sandy will deliver a decent team and football that is worth watching starting with 3 points on Saturdaygood evening billy
