I’m not against it, I just think the vulnerable/elderly should be shielded and allow everyone else to go to work etc. So many people are on the cusp of losing their jobs (if they haven’t already) and the untold damage mentally will go along with that. I lost my job due to covid and it was a grim time. These stop/start “lockdowns” will probably end up doing more harm than good
When we’re all elderly we’ll probably face a pandemic as well, I hope the young people of the day don’t share your attitude.
I lost my job too and it’s horrible. There’s nothing nice about this. But letting it run rampant through the population would make it a lot less nice.
Hang in there, I’m struggling too but global pandemics don’t last forever. Just need to keep going.

Is it a real person?
There was a tweet in April from an account who seemed like a real person claiming their doctor husband had died of covid and when they Investigated it the account turned out to be an Eastern European bot building a political narrative and ended up getting deleted.
The tweet about the husband was 10 mins after a tweet sounding a lot like that.

That case always looked to me like it was something quite simple like that. They maybe drank some dodgy knockoff vodka, went a bit mad through exposure and then local wildlife picked at the tasty bits like eyeballs. Or they got battered by a yeti.
I think the car crash injuries and radiation burns would suggest otherwise.
there was an interesting thread on another forum I read that suggested some of the pictures released by the local authorities were edited and some of the pictures and examples used were pretty convincing tbh.

Look at the sides man u and arsenal have been putting out. Youngsters and reserves players and a couple of first teamers. Lot of english sides would give it a miss if possible. The really big sides in it dont give a feck. Likes of braga and feyenoord might but their hardly major forces in european football these days. The fact that Kluj put our champs out the champ league qualifiers says it all about where we are. Until we're getting sides into the champ league consistently again we've got nowt to crow about on a european level.
Porto played in the quarter finals of the champions league last season and Lazio are chasing the title in Serie A and they never won a game against our sides in 4 attempts.
its English clubs loss if they don’t care about a prestigious European competition but the Spanish, Italian and German clubs definitely do.
Well funnily enough our European participation has led to a second champions league spot and potentially an easier qualifying route so I’m sure you’ll enjoy seeing our champions league participation which doesn’t fit your negative view of our game.0 -

As I said lot of clubs put out reserves sides in the europa league. Noone really takes it seriously apart from nations like us. It's a bit like the challenge cup noone takes much interest till you get to the semis or final.
Absolute guff. Can tell you that every side Rangers have faced in the Europa League this season have fielded their strongest side and some actually rested their players in domestic football to prepare for the ties. A quick look at Celtic’s opponents would tell you they faced opponents strongest teams too. Scottish football has competed relatively well over the last 2 seasons and is flying up the coefficient table.

Why on earth do ex-pros feel the need to trot out this garbage at two week intervals?!
They were relegated, and Hibs have passed up on two good chances to get promoted, hence why they are not Premiership sides.
If they get promoted, which it looks like at least one of them will, then they will be Premiership sides.
Why is it such a hard concept to grasp up here that some clubs go down because they're just not that good. You don't hear it in England. Leeds and Forest and Villa aren't "premier league sides in waiting". Pish.
Another thing has been the consistent over-rating of our championship since the 14/15 season. Players who have performed well down there have come up to the top flight and been shite, but when has that not happened?! The shock that Waghorn, Tavernier, McKay, et al can't cut the mustard has been strange IMO. How many times has a player been signed after performing well in that league, and ended up being shite?! I could name you hunners!!In fairness with regards to your Championship argument you won't get too many leagues in Europe where the side promoted to the top flight finished 3rd and then 2nd/3rd the following season.
And the national cup final was contested by 2 sides from the second tier as well.
Can see your point in regards to the annoying stories being trotted out though.

I remember reading this years ago and was trying to search for it recently.
Proper freaked me out at the time.
It’s very eery and got me because it couldn’t have been edited and was so descriptive.
