  1. 20s league is a great thing to develop future 1st team players. Don't agree with a Friday night tho. If having it as a development league it needs to be played at the start of the week so promising talent can step up to 1st team if needed.

  2. Auto qualification for that stage next year, not sure how that will work after that.

Part of the reward of making that stage, that's how.

The same Hamilton team had skelp a rangers 20s 7-0 a few weeks before.

Hamilton had 5 internationals and 7guys that have played 1st team this season.

  3. I'd imagine it's based around the whole concept of them being able to sign guys that age as full time footballers so you'd expect them to be a little higher in an u20 league.

However, they've struggled as a club since the start of September and a quick look at the league table shows them only four points better off now than they were after 4 games and three of them came against a gala side that have massively disappointed over the same time frame. Was quite excited by the strong start the borders teams made but interestingly only Vale seem to be doing ok and they were the ones originally heavily criticised on here while selkirk and gala got heaps of praise.

Selkirk u20's are now made up of guys at college, guys who have jobs and young French lads.

Watched a few teams in this league this season. Most teams on a level par. Development has to be key over results. Players making 1st team football surely means more to the clubs than winning the league and producing nothing.

Looking at the league table, selkirk looks like they know where the goals are, shame there defenders don't know about the one behind them!
