  1. Ideal if it was a straight swap and we signed Graham Carey who's leaving Plymouth. Gutted Lionel is leaving actually, some parting memory however with that goal against Killie!
  2. Got something in from Debt Recovery Plus today looking for £130 from a Hamilton Asda Parking Eye charge back in November, incidentally only ever got the one letter from Parking Eye on that one so pretty much assumed they'd given up. Must be a new thing but they've now fired on the bottom of the letter some of the example cases, one being that woman in Dundee that owed £25k and telling me these have served as a test case for parking companies. Will just be getting ignored like the first parking charge nonetheless. The courts will become massively overcrowded the day these parking companies begin taking everyone to court over their one-off parking charge anyway.
  3. Take it for what you will, but some guy on the BT Sport live question show on Facebook just there kept asking for Stephen Craigans opinion on a Liam Brown he believes we've signed from Queens Park. Like I said, take it whichever way you like.
  4. Doubt I've been the first to say it but I'd take Luke Leahy from Falkirk. They've just announced that he, along with Bob Mchugh incidentally, won't be staying at Falkirk next season and Leahy has certainly stood out at left back for Falkirk any time I've watched. Doubt we'd be the only ones interested though and he may well end up down south.
  5. Nothing really surprising there from that list. Mackin and Ferguson not being offered new deals were perhaps the ones that jumped out as I thought they'd help with squad depth while seeing if we could develop them, but both are at an age where they'd be better playing every week at Championship/League 1 level. Interesting that Andy Devlin has said we're trying to punt off Bowman and Blyth, would imagine we'll just try and cut our losses with them and hope some other clubs back down in England take them off us for nothing so we can reduce the wage bill.
  6. We might be able to make a bit of extra side cash using his Herba Life connections, other than that we might get a goal or two out of him from the subs bench.
  7. Would imagine Jacob Blyth would feature near the top of that list. Time will tell who stays and who goes of course, but we've an interesting summer ahead anyway.
  8. Didn't take long for the silly season rumours to startup, Graham Carey the first mentioned in a Plymouth newspaper after being at the game with his missus last night.
  9. Not really checked up on his stats but has he had a decent campaign since leaving Inverness a few seasons ago?
  10. I'm in the take a decent offer for Heneghan camp too, who knows, we could even sign Zak Jules up after his loan and do the same with him a year down the line ...
  11. Best not post that on the other social media channels, or Steelmen, in fear of setting off the masses!
  12. Bring Baraclough back as his assistant for a laugh? If he's done enough to impress the board to get the job permanently then I'm fine with that, glad we've got a bit of stability going forward though.
  13. Glad to see some interviews being made and different options explored besides Robinson end of season - which I wouldn't be against.
  14. Oldham didn't have Joe Chalmers at left back amongst other factors though, for what it's worth.
  15. Lennon did get Cowdenbeath those back to back promotions years ago so got a decent pedigree for Clyde. Couldn't tell you a thing about the EK manager other than their cup run last year. No idea who I'd want at 'We'll tbh, Peter Houston seems to have done well at Dundee United and Falkirk with young players and good football so would throw him in the ring.
  16. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trolling sir! At least we both get to have fun looking for a new manager now.
  17. On a completely unrelated note, a Morton supporting mate was telling me earlier we've been looking at their left back Mark Russell. Never nice seeing anybody lose their job regardless of circumstances, so will always thank McGhee and wish him all the best going forward - he'll still want to hit that 1000 game mark. As is the case with football though, once you lose the fans there's usually no way back. A lot of fans have got their wish now so need to move forward with this one. Personal thoughts would be a young(ish) Scottish manager, that will get the younger talents playing well and hopefully unearth a few gems from the Scottish lower leagues as opposed to the English 5th tier all the time.
  18. I reckon you and CMWellfan over on Steelmen would get along like a house on fire!
  19. Louis Laing contract cancelled too. Same source as earlier, taken from the SFA deadline day transfers. Edit: http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2986&newsID=16753&newsCategoryID=1
  20. Interesting theres a guy called Shea Gordon thats signed for us according to the SFA list of transfers. Not seen anything announced, quick google and he's quite young so maybe signed for the Under 20's? http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=1961&newsID=16753&newsCategoryID=1
  21. New signing; Elliot Frear, left winger, 2 and a half year deal, undisclosed fee from Forrest Green. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2017/01/26/elliott-frear-signs-for-the-steelmen/
  22. If it counts for much, Peterborough's description of him has him down an being able to play as a winger too with this 'pace to burn'. Shaq Coulthirst profile
  23. Relatively safe option which given the strange nature of the January window I'm fine with, wouldn't imagine he's on a high wage or anything either. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the window shapes up, in regards to any more incomings; Pearson and potentially one more Marvin-esque replacement is the general consensus but depends on what shape and system McGhee wants to mould into for the second half of the season I suppose. If we can get a taker for Ainsworth I wouldn't be surprised to see him head out, either on loan or permanent. Laing will most definitely be punted again, we've got a settled defence and I just don't see him getting in ahead of Ferguson/Kennedy to cover McManus/Heneghan. We'll probably see a couple of the younger boys sent out on development loans, try and aid their development by being around a first team etc.
