  1. Yes but from the SPFL's point of view why is Dave King allowed to hold over 10% in shares and a controlling interest when he is barred from being a director.

He would be no different to Mike Ashley and someone, according to rules, who should not have control.

King appointing directors or influencing matters in the boardroom is no different to MA, though for different reasons ...

However there seems to be no request for him to appear and explain his actions as a currant shareholder (that is all Mike is) nor his actions previously in trying to destabilise the clumpany (corporate sabotage prior to availing himself of cheaper shares).

Actually, did Charles Green not proclaim that ''no individual will ever again hold more than a 10% stake in the club''?

  2. Llambias: Ally's choice to leave, not ours. We are going to give Kenny our 100% support, maybe beyond season end. #rangersagm

    :blink::lol: :lol: :lol:

Awe that'd be so good. I mean, I am right in thinking that it has been 'inferred' by many, that McDowall was already in charge of setting the team and tactics. So there should be no real danger of significant improvements and the fun times should continue awhile then. Pleasing :)

  3. In reverse order 3)'Inverness Caledonian Thistle' - for basically all the reasons you mentioned.

2)'Bon Accord' (The one from Aberdeen) - It has a poetic sound, as does pretty much all French but has a really cool story behind it too. It is of course the motto of The City of Aberdeen and it's said to have been a secret password, used by Robert The Bruce's forces in a campaign against the English. Also, any club that holds the record for biggest defeat, deserves a . sympathy vote 36-0 to Arbroath ffs :o

    And finally

    1) 'The Rangers International' - It's just so modern and cosmopolitan but then I suppose a club

should have a name that reflects the era of it's birth, right ;)

ETA:- Don't ask but I canny be arsed trying to fix it :o

  4. Are you really that dense or are you just trying to be a smartass?

It's quite obvious they don't agree with the current Human Rights Act and think it needs to be amended with as you typed out yourself a replacement bill for human rights..

People like you are one of the main problems when it comes to politics in this country. So narrowly compacted into your own little ideological box that you can't even respect people on the opposing spectrums views and instead try your paper thin, class clown attempts at mocking them and discrediting anything they say by either insulting them or bringing up individual cases of terrible people on that side of the spectrum.

Because there's never been a scummy, borderline retarded leftist, right?

    Grow the f**k up.

Joined yesterday my arse  What was your name last week then?

  5. I am fully aware that just because he is injured does not mean we get rid of him but what I meant is that no doubt at rangers he had access to some of the best treatment and rehabilitation to help him in his recovery , and we never expected him to stay and play in the 3rd division but a bit of respect to tupe over and let the club make some money from selling him on , if not for the clubs sake but as a thank you to the fans of which he claimed and still does to be one of. As I said maybe it was own naivity that lead to my bitterness about the situation. Not to mention the boot in the balls which was the press conference. I am willing to move on but I can't forgive him , and that's that.

Aye, the press conference, where he gave a very fair and honest appraisal of the whole situation IIRC. He's forever a hero in my eyes. :)

  6. I would hazard a guess at about roughly the same amount as i will lose.

I have never really bothered what hate filled bigots thought of me. ;)

I didn't think i would have to spell this out but obviously i have to for the hard of thinking. I wasn't that offended by your post as i expect that kind of thinking from hate filled bigots. It was sickening but then again it is you that has to live with yourself. Like most normal thinking people i just couldn't even think about saying that about anybody no matter what they had done. The fact that even now you cant see what was wrong with it or apologise for it says it all for me.

FFS! How did this pish become topical again? Don't answer that, I can't be arsed. Actually, maybe it deserves it's own thread

  7. You and most other Ps&Ds have to reset the cliches, chap. What every Rangers fan aches for is:

    • Transparent corporate governance
    • Fiscal prudence
    • Budgetary balance

I ken the diddies like to think otherwise but those are the major priorities for we fans right now.

We ARE the people and are always better than them however much they win.

    Awe ffs!

ETA: and now we are 7

  8. From tomorrow’s Telegraph (Grahame Ewing)

Rangers could face more expensive litigation now that the Worthington Group, the investment company which announced to the Stock Exchange last year that it was staking a legal claim to ownership of the business and assets of the club, has made a remarkable recovery.

In April 2013 the group revealed that it would be pursuing the holding company, Rangers International Football Club, through the courts, insisting that Sevco 5088, the company formed by the discredited former Rangers owner Craig Whyte, had been awarded the sole rights to buy the club by the administrators Duff and Phelps.

Instead, it was Sevco Scotland, fronted by the equally controversial Charles Green, which ended up in charge, with the former Rangers chief executive publicly admitting last year that he had lied to Whyte to gain control of the new club in the summer of 2012.

As a result, the Worthington Group reported Green to the Serious Fraud Office. But its legal action appeared to have been abandoned when the Financial Conduct Authority suspended trading in its shares – then worth just 4p – at the Worthington Group’s request on Aug 1, 2013.

However, since that ban was lifted four weeks ago, its share price has soared to £198.50 and yesterday it announced the acquisition of assorted digital media investments.

With the improvement in the company’s financial health, it is now in a position to progress the challenge regarding its right to own the Championship challengers.

That began last year when the Worthington Group bought a 26 per cent holding in Law Financial Holding Ltd, a company belonging to Whyte who, in turn, is believed to own a 7.54 per cent stake in Worthington. Sevco 5088 is one of the subsidiary companies owned by Law Financial.

With a current market value of around £25 million, Worthington is worth around £10 million more than Rangers, who are struggling to raise the money to pay their bills.

The Worthington Group did not return calls on Monday, but appear as if they are not walking away.
