    Well I have to say that bizarrely I’m sad to see you guys go down. I like Palmerston, great view and always a good atmosphere even though I’ve been countless times and never seen us win. However I absolutely hate your artificial pitch with players slipping all over the place and the uneven bounces. On the game today I think a draw was a fair result. But some of the finishing from both sides today was grim.

    I would rather be in our position to yours. However, I fully expect you to beat a now relegated Queens. Which means we have to beat Thistle and we just don’t win football matches. I still think whoever finishes 9th will win the play offs though.

    I although not happy about tonight’s result it doesn’t really change much, accept that Queens have hope. I still fully believe to stay up we need to win in Dumfries nothing has changed. We will go to Palmerston and for the first time in God knows how long we will win. End of.

    The comparison between Tomi and Shanks is a non starter. Shankland scored 50 goals in 60 games for us. He almost single-handedly got us promoted. With that kind of record you’ll be forgiven almost anything.

    I don’t understand the hullabaloo around Adeloye. Is he our best striker- yes, is he the player of the year- yip. Is he the greatest player to play for Ayr- No. what’s the issue here?

    I actually was really impressed with us yesterday for most of the game. We dominated, created loads of chances and defended pretty well. Most of our big players are now fit and performing well. I am confident we can go to Dumfries and win and hopefully Thistle can help us out. Then a draw at home against a weakened Thistle will keep us up. If this doesn’t go to plan I still think we have the quality to take care of Airdrie.

    On O’Connor, yes he was excellent today and has played well in a few other games but he’s been very inconsistent and has picked up injuries too often. That said I do think there is a good player in there.

    Not really that insane. I’ve seen enough promise from us over the past few weeks to think we are comfortably better the best league one can offer. I also think Dunfermline have enough as well. Also did you watch that God awful Morton team comfortably win the play offs last season?

    Nope officially 9th. Points the same, GD the same, goals scored the same. However, we are behind on the head to heads.

    Didn’t deserve to lose that, however, when you don’t take your chances these things can happen. First half we were very good but fell too deep in the second. All down to the last 2 games with it hanging in the balance. I do think whoever finishes 9th will comfortably win the play offs though.

    I cannot believe we will be as poor next week as we were first half yesterday. I think we need a man marking job on Thomas and get as long out of Adeloye as possible. I am hoping for a win but probably expect a draw. That should be enough to save us.
