  1. Strange decision to abandon yesterdays game. As far as I could tell from the bottom of the garden both teams wanted to finish the game (I could be wrong) Does a result not stand after 70min? Why stop it at 66min?

Ive watched all of the home games and the defending can be shambolic ( the keeper has been excellent). Cant see them surviving. One thing that seems strange is a manager who continually picks himself but can't keep up. Hellish to watch. The Bonnyrigg game looks ominous.

having to focus on funding floodlights has damaged the quality of the team?

Vale management resigned last night, kind of inevitable after that result . This season has been one mess after another. Pre season signings announced when they hadn't signed and some hellish results including yesterdays. Three weeks ago we watched a player scream F off at a coach during a game and last weeks cup game v Kelty was attended by about a dozen locals.

I feel for some of the young players on loan  as they're all working hard but the LL has changed beyond recognition over the past year and mistakes are punished heavily. With the floodlight ruling I genuinely fear for the Vales survival. At the moment they'd struggle to compete in the EOS. Dark days

Ohhh to have a magic wand and a set of floodlights, try t get a team on the park tae, canny be easy 🙄

Have watched the Vale a few times this season. Its a fairly young inexperienced side who are working hard but mistakes are being heavily punished by far more experienced sides.

Its going to be a struggle and at the moment I can't see where a goal is coming from never mind a point.

  4. Comfortable win for Kelty who were never really troubled.  Given the gulf in finances Vale were never likely to take anything from this game but were guilty of horrendous errors for 4 of the goals . Good teams will always punish mistakes so well played Kelty.

Regarding the pitch, it wasn't great but from what I gather they were once again let down by Scottish Borders Council  who are paid by the Vale to cut the grass. A flock of sheep would be cheaper and likely have far more sense than anyone from SBC.

Another poor result for Vale Of Leithen. Looks like they will have a tough season, only question is how good Gretna and Dalbeattie are.

It was tough watching the Vale today. Striker isolated at times with little support and still created plenty chances. Baffling substitutions also. Felt sorry for the guys who were taken off.

  6. EK well worth their win yesterday although Vale unlucky to lose the 3rd in the 92nd min. Going to be a long season for a young Vale side. Hopefully it won't be the same as last season when getting a team on the park each week was a challenge.
