I was impressed with his details about the players working week and his attitude to warm downs and recovery. He doesn't believe in it basically but lets the players do their own thing.

I'm more positive after hearing him in person......but of course a lot of guys can talk a good game. I'm positive now but let's see what happens when some signings come in and how he fits in or manages unpopular players like Crawford.

Update from tonights meeting. I've been at all of these and it's like night and day with no Flaherty. Arsehole. Liam and Alec are basically co-assistant manager as well as dealing with youth stuff. The pitch is coming on beautifully. Macca is taking the League Cup very seriously. Club realised how poor PR was and have rectified this. The timing of Spoony leaving was down to bad timing given the timeframe of Macca being given the job. He wishes it could have gone differently but he's leaving purely for football reasons and how Macca wants to play. Recruitment is being worked on. MacLean wants a small squad with a clear pathway for young players. Players being brought in will be younger and able to play with energy. Macca is BIG on stats/analysis and would like a specialist brought in. The club is heading for it's worst financial year ever. So brace yourselves! Macca and Stan speak well and clearly have the best interests of the club in mind. There's lots of interest in buying the club. In fact some non-disclosures have been signed but nothing concrete is in place. Stan was shocked at the finances when he came back.

At least Flaherty won't be there so that's a bonus.
