  1. So now that the deals for both Daniel and Gavin have been finalised, only now do I think it appropriate to comment.

Having whiteness both these boys playing as teenagers in a physical East of Scotland league it was obvious they were both destined for higher things. It was a pleasure watching two lightweight youngsters more than holding their own and often standing out and staring in the games they played.

It’s great to see both these players move on to higher things and I wouldn’t be surprised if they move on to even bigger clubs. No disrespect to Queen of the South but these guys are now playing with better players and will have the use of better facilities and coaching so they should only improve.

From a personal point of view it’s pleasing to see both these guy’s move on and Daniel going to Hibs is great, Gavin going to the dark side of the city well, but if he plays as well as the last Reilly did in Edinburgh, which I’m sure he will he’ll be a big hit.

There are some very small minded people on here and we are all aloud to have our opinion but I think for those who are sad enough to troll through previous posts of mine I think you’ll find I have been totally vindicated in everything I’ve said in the past. I’m sure some will take pleasure in responding to this post.

Good luck to both these players as their careers move on to a bigger chapter. Stick in lads.

  2. We don't, although Rangers have the exact same pitch at Murray park.

I think he was referring to the guy claiming that we'd be getting compensation and a sell on fee, which we clearly won't. Saying that, I've heard about certain offers players have received, and agree, they're embarrassing.

    Really, care to elaborate?

I would have thought your wage structure would be similar to Falkirk, Raith, Livi etc. Minimum wage for the youths and higher wages for the senior players.

  3. Gavin Reilly, discuss.

    Charlie?

    You called?

Gavin Reilly is a striker in a Queen of the South team that by all accounts are generally playing well and are in 4th place in the Championship. They have had some very good results notably the home victories over both Hibs and Rangers.

He is joint top goal scorer in the league and has been getting some rave reviews on national tv and radio as well as in the press.

I'm sure come 16.50 on Saturday you'll know a lot more about him and it wouldn't surprise me to hear that he had scored.

Hey you cheeky wee rascal RG I bet you already knew this, no?

  4. There are issues at Palmerston of Queens players not puting enough hours in on the training ground. Very few if any come in for a second session or to practice. Also the same is happening with a certain Director regarding time spent running Queens.

My goodness, that's some inside information to divulge on a social media site or is it just a spurious accusation?

  5. He has started 2 games out of the last 24 so can't see how he has been given enough game time, though you say he was ok in one of those two games but disappointing every other time he has appeared ?

See above, don't understand your Charlie quote but starting to understand with your replies to some of my posts that you are a bit of a prat

I think you could well be right qos8.

  6. Really dim to release him this week if that is the case. I`d have kept both players beyond the next 2 games TBH.

I think that would have been most people's thoughts. Why not send them to train with your youths for a few weeks, if your next two games are away to Raith and Falkirk this could come back to bite you on the derriere!

Bit naive if you ask me.

  7. Hearts interested in Gav.

    County in Durnan /Gav County/Dundee/McShane

    Hibs/numerous English clubs in Holt

You seem to have a young reasonably successful team who playing attractive football and are fighting it out with the "big boys" of the league therefore you would expect other so called bigger teams being interested in some if not most of your players.

It's just one of those inevitable facts of football.

  8. Another interesting read, does Mr Telfer write on here using the pseudonym of Charlie?

    http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/tell-him-he039s-pele-blog-23/

No mention of Sandy Clark, so no.

Any idea why he left a good job at Kilmarnock?

Sorry to disappoint some but that’s not me, far to articulate.

I must commend him for the report however, especially the final sentence. I just hope he’s prepared for the tongue lashing he might get from some of the Queen of The South posters.

You never know if Gavin continues with his form he may well move on in January and the Queen of the South supporters could have their prayers answered with young Mr Clark going back their on loan as it would appear he’s not able to get a game now under Alistair McCoist.

Anyway it’s nice to see that Gavin is getting the recognition from those that are in the know
