  1. Haven’t seen him in a few years, but an absolute rock when he played for Montrose and Elgin, cracking signing for Stenny.
  2. I’m guessing this is Ex-Stirling Albion and Caledonia Braves Neil McLaughlin?? If it is then he’ll be a good signing for you. Good all round ball player, comfortable on the ball and certainly someone who’ll makes things happen in the middle of the park.
  3. I’m surprised at Antel being released, always impressed me when we met.
  4. Surely you’ve not just mentioned Forthbank alongside Bayview and The Rock to back up your argument here Gordon? Forthbank is a cracking lower league stadium that many Away teams enjoy visiting over the years and one that very few people complain about.
  5. Would have to agree with this and ultimately, clubs will find their level and it will all be relative. It’ll just take a good few years to get to this and there will be a bit of pain along the way but it will happen.
  6. Wow, absolutely no disrespect intended when I say this but I honestly thought he was going to a better club than Albion Rovers. You’ve got yourself a good Goalkeeper there Chris, intact the 4 players you have signed from us will be good additions to your side.
  7. Nathan Flanagan joins the club from Annan https://www.stirlingalbionfc.co.uk/new-signing-nathan-flanagan/ And Adam Cummins rejoins the club from Stranraer https://www.stirlingalbionfc.co.uk/new-signing-adam-cummins/
  8. Next season is set to be a cracker, with the fact that fans will return to games being the icing on the cake. Far to early to make any predictions on how it will go, however I think for the first time in a long time, it’s going to be tight at both ends of the table.
  9. Of course I do, I want every Stirling signing to be unbelievable and every rival signing to be absolutely awful so we can canter the league.....however, I did say in my original comment “for your sake” I hope he is better.
  10. I agree, but if ever there was change that was going to be voted through, it probably would have been the 14-14-14 model that was spoken about in the summer but the vote didn’t pass the Premiership vote, so I doubt it’s going to happen any time soon sadly.
  11. As I said in a previous post, for your sake, I hope he has improved since his days at Forthbank.
  12. What happened to Lee Hamilton lads? Noticed he wasn’t on the list. Injuries got the better of him in the end?
  13. That was a horrendous team and he came in at the worst time, a fire fighting mission in January. To be fair, I thought he did ok during his loan spell and was offered no guidance as McLaren chopped and changed the lads around. However he looked pretty steady and more mature when I saw him for Queens Park, enough to suggest he would be a good signing of true.
  14. Glad to see Declan Byrne managed to return to a club quickly. Wish him well back at Albion Rovers.
  15. We were for large parts of it mate, so as has been mentioned elsewhere, I would imagine he’ll fit in as the Left of a 3 but again, he’s a player that gives us options and that’s always important at this level when you run with small squads. As for those that are leaving the club, I’m not too disappointed. With not being able to attend games, then it’s hard to get an actual attachment to the players. Div Wilson had his moments of brilliance at the club, mostly in the earlier part but was always someone that flattered to deceive after doing so well against us at Annan.
  16. I suspect Binnie has been released because he has a better offer from elsewhere. If not then he would be an excellent signing for you.
  17. Has Jamie Mills signed for Stenny?? Read it in a post on here but didn’t see anything on Twitter. If so, for the sake of your club, I hope you see a better player than the one that played for Stirling 3 or 4 years ago.
  18. Over the years you’ve proven to be a good judge of player on these forums David so thank you for your feedback and Grant does indeed appear to be a good addition to our squad. Thank you
  19. I’ve only seen Grant play for Clyde against us, maybe once or twice, so probably not in the best position to judge him but with what I have seen, he was a standout player on his day. I think this is a positive signing for the club, despite having a mixed season in the Championship for Alloa and is probably the type of player that’s been missing in the middle of the park for years, time will tell but looking forward to seeing how the move goes.
  20. Can’t say the general public will know the answer to your question Flybhoy, but with what KR said about him over the season, we can only ASSUME that the decision to leave was down to Binnie.
  21. I can only imagine he already has a better offer mate and that the decision was his. Total guess work but time will tell.
