  1. I can only imagine he already has a better offer mate and that the decision was his. Total guess work but time will tell.
  2. Cammy Binnie, Dom Docherty and Scott Roberts, the first 3 names to be released of those leaving the club. Wish the 3 well for the future, was hoping Binnie was going to stay.
  3. This is where ai differ with you Ally_D although for long spells of the season it was “winning football” I don’t think I’ve enjoyed watching it since KR came in. I like him and the way he conducts himself and I want him to get it right, but I genuinely think the last enjoyable performance I watched was under Dave Mackay. Under KR we are well organised and structured, but it’s built on not giving much away and I tend to think the players are playing in shackles. A lot of times at Forthbank last season I switched off and my mind wandered, this season watching on the laptop, my mind wanders again. Yes we have some exciting players (you mentioned 2 in your comments) but our performances throughout KR’s reign have been far from exciting in my opinion, the odd 20 minutes or so but not for throughout games. I back the board 100% and I will support KR because as I say, I want him to get things right, but I really wish the team would open up a bit for the full 90 minutes, be exciting and a bit expansive.
  4. Since the league resumption in March, we’ve simply run out of steam after looking strong prior to that. Whatever happens tonight happens, keep my fingers crossed it’s us but even if it is, can’t see us winning them.
  5. Would have to second that, it’s been very much of a ‘meh’ season for me, that’s not a dig at the club or players it’s just the way I have felt having to watch everything via a laptop. However since the resumption in March, we really do seem to have run out of steam and the squad seems to be limping over the line which is frustrating when you consider how strong we look up until the season was paused in January.
  6. Have known David for a few years now and he’s a bloody good Goalkeeping Coach, wish him well and hope he is not out of the game for too long Exciting times for Stenny.
  7. Congratulations Queens, it was totally expected but we have seen teams bottle it before. Delighted for the genuine supporters and saddened that you weren’t their to witness it. Best of luck in League 1
  8. Thanks that’s a nice thing to say, and I am, I love my life. That’s true, we have, but at least Jocky Scott was the only sour, greeting faced appointment and he wasn’t around for long.
  9. Said it before and I’ll say it again, delighted that Stirling Albion don’t have a manager in the mould of Bollan.
  10. Have to agree, for the sake of your club and it’s supporters, I hope you don’t.
  11. Personally don’t think Gilmour should be in the squad, but Paterson should.
  12. Hit the nail on the head 100% Neilly, this has been anything but a fun season for those that love to go to the football on an almost weekly basis. Just don’t get these armchair fans.
  13. Have to agree with rhliston, don’t like being as blunt about performances but that was simply awful last night. We seem to have reverted back to hoof ball of previous seasons when we can actually get the ball down and play. KR seemed to be as baffled as to why that happened as we are and the fact that he said that there are a lot of positions now up for grabs speaks volumes. It’s easy to look at last night and start going a bit overboard on criticism, yes it wasn’t good enough but it’s one game where we have let standards slip. I personally feel the players from Darvel that were brought in, should be used to lighten the load but not be first team regulars but are they bringing anything to the team, other than Meggatts performance against Stenhousemuir, probably not but then they haven’t been constant starters since they were brought in anyway so it’s a little unfair to point fingers at them in my opinion. We’ve got a winnable game on Saturday, all be it Central Park is never a nice place to go, so let’s hope we achieve the aim at the end of the week with a better performance as well.
  14. There’s absolutely no way that Hibs are watching Div Wilson, I’m not believing that for a minute. I’m sure he originally came through at Partick Thistle did he not?? Didn’t watch the game yesterday, but delighted to have another win in the bag and look forward to Tuesday night now.
  15. Wonder how much I would get from the bookies for Harry Stone to be Scotland No 1 one day [emoji848]
  16. Think that’s pretty much that when it comes to Queens Park winning the title and fair play to them today, they were the better team in a stuffy match. Nothing to really say that hasn’t already been said above.
  17. Queens Park have now vacated Hampden and Lesser isn’t ready to move into. Think the Falkirk Stadium with Ochilview as a back up plan was the best/only offer open to them until the end of the season.
  18. We don’t concede many goals but the forward talent at Queens Park is there for all to see.....going to stick my neck out and say that a point is coming back to Forthbank, at least [emoji85].
  19. I don’t think anyone from either club classes this as a derby, I tend to find that it is outsiders looking in, seeing the locations of both clubs and classing it as that. It was the same with Stirling v Clyde, nonsense, the derby is Alloa. Nothing more than jurnos trying to build a wee bit of hype. Didn’t see the game last night as I was working late, but happy with the score. The season has simply become one to get through and then take stock of where you are. The win keeps us in that Play Off spot and gotta be happy with another clean sheet.
  20. That was good enough to get Montrose and others before them out of the league.......so fingers crossed
  21. Was delighted when I read this on Twitter yesterday. Ryan, Leitch and McGregor would be on everyone’s keep list I’m sure, but also fall into that bracket of being watched by other clubs so it’s great news that they are staying at Forthbank for another year. Banner really has come on leaps and bounds over the past season and a bit and is quickly becoming something of an unsung hero, I believe he is a local lad as well so it’s great to have as many of those lads as possible associated with the club and I look forward to seeing his development continue.
  22. As an outsider I would probably have to agree with you BTIA, I thought Brechin looked better than they did in the previous game and, certainly on paper, you’ve signed some really good players. You’ll take points off teams between now and the end of the season and you have players who will create more chances than you did yesterday, as one thing that we are as a team is defensively sound, more times than not.
  23. Obviously they are coming in due to Darrel not playing and it boosts the squad numbers for what is going to be a crazy few months, so it’s a good move all round. Kirkpatrick was a player that impressed me when he was at Clyde, I was actually surprised to see he had dropped to that level, but maybe says more about the money you can pick up at Darvel rather than his actual ability.
  24. What an absolutely great capture for the nation if it is indeed true. Yip, his goal scoring record over the years might not be breath taking but he is someone who brings a lot to the table in a department that is struggling, is young and is ultimately better than some of the other options we have open to us. Delighted with the news [emoji1319]
  25. Interesting indeed, especially when you consider that McDonaugh would be regarded by many as “doing a good job” as First Team Manager.
