  1. Noticed the game tonight is on Sky Sports Main Event, I only have Sky Sports Football and not the other channels.....guessing I’ll not see the game unless I upgrade?
  2. West Brom fans were the same, come back and tell us what they think after 15 or so games please.
  3. Every time I have seen Biabi I’ve seen a player that should be playing Full Time football at a higher level than league 2.
  4. I think it’s worrying times for many clubs within Scottish Football, not only those at Part Time level. I honestly can’t see how a lot of clubs are going to get through this if we are looking at 6+ months
  5. Apologies, the BBC article is regarding England but I think we can take it as read that we will be the same on this one.
  6. All those above plus James McCarthy, Ray Houghton, Owen Coyle and Tommy Coyne. All born in Scotland and went on to play for Ireland.
  7. So now it is 100% confirmed that fans will not return to stadiums in October, have to say I’m gutted as I was looking forward to my 9 year old son seeing Hampden full and (hopefully) buzzing. Any idea when the SFA will issue refunds on the tickets?
  8. I suspect Wilder will be in amongst a long line of managers who will think they can get a tune out of him, then after 15 or so games, will just give up on him like when he was with us (WBA).
  9. As an outsider I would probably tend to agree with the above. Throw in a good Goalkeeper in Smith along with Hopkirk and Muir, who both have good scoring records at this level, and Biabi, who many thought would be playing at a higher level than League 2, then you would expect Stenny to be slogging it out for the Play Offs.
  10. I said it a few weeks ago but Peters and Elgin are a goof fit (on the field) so I think he’ll be a cracking signing for you. Wish the lad well, not against Stirling however.
  11. Laughing at all those P&B nutritionalist a few pages back. Dear oh dear [emoji23]
  12. Harsh on Dykes but also harsh to label Martin and Paterson as diddies. Martin actually played well for Scotland but was picked when the tartan army wanted Griffiths and Paterson has probably only played 1 or 2 games up front for the national team.
  13. Unreal signing for this level, well done to Queens Park in getting him.
  14. Peters would be a good signing for you, if your team plays in a similar way to how you played last season. I have no idea if he was offered another deal at Stirling Albion or not, but a large chunk of our support was surprised to see him leave. Maybe this is down to his move back to Aviemore but either way, you would be getting a good player for this level and one that would fit in nicely to your style of play.
  15. Relatively happy with the squad and quite excited about kicking off another Nations League campaign. Chuffed that Dykes has chosen us, he’s a handful and will give us a good option for years to come. People are stating that Clarke will play a back 3.....I’m not sure. During his time as West Brom, Kilmarnock and so far as Scotland manager, I don’t ever remember him shifting from his current system. I think Tierney has been brought in to play in a Back 4, whether that’s at Left Back, Right Back or Centre Half, time will tell.
  16. Good luck to Hickey if he does go to Celtic. You only have to look at Tierney (and others) to see where he could end up if he takes Celtic as his next step. If he goes to Bayern, he could be swallowed up in the academy and never make the First Team, go to Celtic, play football and he’ll move on to a team Champions League stature as a First Team player.
  17. I honestly think this is what should happen. It looks like McCrorie is a good shout to be an international Goalkeeper in the future, what better time to blood him into the international scene by selecting him to be 2nd or 3rd choice in Nation League matches? Get him used to being a part of the squad and then when we can have a few friendlies arranged then get him capped and start phasing him in over the years as Marshall and Gordon start be phased out. Think it’s a cert now and I’m one who will be delighted if he is. Would he be my first choice Striker, I’m not sure, but he gives us another option up there to those that are in the squad.
  18. Oh I bloody hope so, get the duffer away from The Hawthorns and free up some wages for Slav. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-brom-transfers-burke-sheffield-18815465
  19. A bit like Andy Webster, he’s in danger of never quite making it as a top Defender due to injury. Let’s hope not.
  20. 18th of October......I thought the date was Thursday the 8th of October?
  21. He’s going to be Scotland’s Number 9 for years to come! According to Mark Warburton
  22. Clarke was interviewed on Sportsound and strongly hinted at the fact that, after discussions, Dykes had chosen to play for Scotland. Mark Warburton is also saying that he will go on to be “Scotland number 9” as he has huge potential, so I think it’s a safe bet he’ll be called into the forth coming squads. With things being the way that things are, then I wouldn’t have thought I’d be a million miles away by predicting that both Dykes and Nisbet will be in Clarke’s thoughts for the next squad, and they could be supplemented by McBurnie and Shankland, if he is nearing a return to fitness.
  23. At the ripe old age of 40, I have seen the nation produce some absolutely cracking teenagers, who could even beat world greats like Brazil, Holland, Italy and England however some how, just some how they don’t progress from “cracking teenagers” to “cracking adults” just nearly enough. I keep my fingers crossed that the current crop, and those mentioned in the original post, can change this and become the real deal, but I’ve seen it so many times before that it all gets a little bit boring and repetitive. Let’s keep hoping though [emoji1303]
  24. Linked with a move to one of the promoted teams this morning. Please go to West Brom, please go to West Brom, please go to West Brom https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/worth-a-real-look-west-brom-join-leeds-in-the-mix-to-sign-26-year-old-the-verdict/
