Should award the title to Kelty, purely on the off chance it would make bravehearts dad head explode.

No chance my head will explode. It would just give more unnecessary money to the legal profession. Have the future Gretna of Fife allocated a sum of money in their 5year plan budget for legal expertise ?  Oh sorry that is just petty cash for them. I just want a level playing field.

I'd like to see the SPFL go 14-14-16.

Dundee Utd and ICT go upto Premiership, top 6  in League One into Championship, everyone else plus Kelty and Brora into L1.  Nobody penalised.

LL are then down to 15, no relegation, promote Bo'ness and Threave (if they want it) and open up applications for 18th place (or second EoS club?). Allows then to relegate 2 clubs next season.

EoS Premier potentially down to 14, promote Tynecastle, LTHV, Leith and Dunipace  (the only 4 clubs with realistic chances of promotion) and run with 18 for a season. Drop a cup or two to accomodate.

Below that, Conferences as has been agreed or First/Second.

Not perfect by any means, but a way forward where there's fewer clubs losing out, and the SPFL gets much needed reform.

Why should the team from Fife go into L1, seems very presumptious.

Mallo just cant seem to post without abusing folk yet still wants to engage all things LL 😂

Why not start a thread about this poster, with all the complaints against him the mods may take some action. Instead of contaminating the threads on other subjects.

Well blow me o’er wi a feather . Should have put my mortgage on that signing happening. Harvey continues his trend of hauling his brother in law with him wherever he has a job. Beware the Tranent dressing room mole about. One person above has described aptly the quality of the player . Black released to free up the wages for Hume!!!

Looks like Harvey is already making his mark and clearing out players and ultimately wrecking the club(he has previous)

Time will tell BD; but for me he shouldn’t have got the chance as Calvin did not get enough support!

I agree. Wonder if Tranent have contacted Nitten about the availability of Craig Hume?

    Get well soon Bravehearts Dad

I am quite well thank you. A bunch of 12 red roses may have helped my cause though.

In the two games against CSS they have scored first then shut up shop, would have been a different story had we scored first, would like a count on the number of times we have hit the framework this season.

All is not yet lost C’mon BSC

P.S. To save me looking, remind me how many League points your team has dropped so far this season. FYI we have dropped 10

Keep up Alan. Tranent got beat5-1!  That’s what happened!

Granted you probably never hear whole stories of managerial movements but getting rid of Calvin was a strange one!

I didn’t like the situation where he went to Tranent so soon after leaving Musselburgh. But after the initial thoughts passed, it was Calvin’s choice and so I wished him well at our near neighbours as long as Burgh beat Tranent!!

Musselburgh went through a different start at beginning of this season. Here we had a new manager who was struggling at times, particularly away from home, but his saving grace was our home form was amongst best in league. The committee always had faith in Kevin, and look where we are now.

Alex Jack Cup winners and South-East Shield winners and more importantly, up to the dizzy heights of 8th in league!!

Tranent never out of top 3 or 4 and still in a few cups, but less than a year in post Calvin gets the boot!! Strange decision especially as a number of Tranent fans on different forums also seemed surprised!

With this hammering and also the recent cup defeat by Penicuik, the good feel of a new manager hasn’t yet hit the dizzy heights!

Should Tranent have kept Calvin; only time will tell! Are the committee’s ambitions to high; only time will tell. From the start of season, apart from Tranent fans, how many other teams’ fans thought that Tranent would win this league with a chance of Lowland League status next season. Now out of two cups in quick succession, seems to me as if ambition needs to be re-evaluated!

Out of 2 cups, and did they appoint the right person as manager? Especially after his last managerial gig.

  8. That’s it, jacket zipped up, red&white scarf round neck, beanie hat on, gloves in pocket for emergency, thank goodness wellies not needed today. New visitors to NDP today, hope they remain off the boil as per the last few weeks and we have 3 points in the bag by 5pm tonight.

You wouldnt want to host Glastonbury on that pitch let alone SPFL games.

Well another big result in appalling conditions, thought we did well to keep our heads in front throughout the game and deserved the victory. Another 3 2 win on the road. At least Big Dan scored the winner with 15 mins to go and saved us from biting our nails(if you dare take your gloves off). So a great 3pts. Hope the weather is better in Fife next Saturday.

  10. Well how lucky are we to be playing away from home today and game on due to the whatever surface our hosts have. Another new venue for me so thermals on and wellies in the boot of the car. Another important game for us and an opportunity to gain 3pts in our quest at the top of the table.

  11. Well enjoyed my trip down the blustery A7 to Galashiels. The conditions were difficult for both teams but thought we handled them better. The red card did not help Fairydeans cause. Goals all over the pitch again today was pleasing to see. Another very welcome 3pts.

As a season ticket holder, advertising board investor, hospitality regular and 2x, yes 2x, raffle winner.... All I can say is Kelty are robbing b*****ds who led to my first divorce and possibly my second.....

But I'd do it a third time just see us at the dance! Mon the Kelty!

2 x raffle winner? Another bloody millionaire in the Kelty ranks!

But did you keep your winnings or donate it back to the club to help pay the wages of the next signing?

Davie said last night he’s not interested in it. Just doing it to help the club out. As for Johnny I hope he puts in for it. Could do a lot worse.

Aye go for Johnny. Appoint him and the first thing he will do is sign Craig Hume, his brother in law who is on the transfer list at Nitten, to be his mole in the dressing room!!!

P.S. I am delighted the aforementioned did not get the job at my club.

Jamie Devlin leaves Bonnyrigg for Penicuik having only made 9 appearances.

He's not been seen at New Dundas Park for a while so perhaps some underlying issue but since his failed move to Kelty he's struggled to find the form he had at Tranent, hopefully this move works out for him.

Thought when we signed him he would have been great acquisition to the squad, but alas not to be, he seemed a bit lost when he went back to Tranent from Kelty.  Only 9 games for The Rose, so good luck to him at Penicuik.

P.S. shouldn’t be any weather problems for the game tomorrow!!!

Every team at this level would love to have a McGachie type in it!

Not going to disagree with you on that .

Aye big Kieron gave your defence a torrid time and again scored against Bo’ness. Should have put a bet on him scoring the first goal. IIRC that’s his first goal since the end of July last year. (Albeit he was out injured for a long time).  Your team are not quite the same without Gemmell orchestrating proceedings.

I’ll still take it. It gave us a very important 3pts. Hope your club remain in the LL as I look forward to visiting again.

Vale's park makes your tattie field look half decent

Well it’s been a long drive back in the dark, but an enjoyable day and a very welcome 3pts. The Star trying to stop The Rose by solid defence even more solid after they went down to 10 men. Once again our battling  and never say die attitude got us another late winner and how fitting it was for Kerr Young to get that goal. Well done lads.
