How was he for Forfar?
Notice you have Adam Eckersley these days anaw - blimey!
I think Lewis did OK and would be happy if we could get him back for the rest of the season. I don't think he is ready for the Premiership but Sir Craig might try to get him a Championship Club.

Has Lewis Moore's loan spell ended?
We were hoping you might know.
According to Jim Weir he is injured.

No issues here with Malone stepping in beside Reilly. Could see that working quite well actually.
Fair play to J.W. He has identified our problem left back position and got in a full time Premier League player for part-time wages. It is obvious he sees Malone as a utility squad player filling in as cover for injuries and suspensions, he is not the answer to our mid- field problem. I would expect Kennedy to be farmed out to the Juniors to get him match fit.
The young keeper will probably have to keep the bench warm but might get his chance due to injury or given the number of yellow cards McCallum is picking up for blatant time-wasting ,suspension.

I believe, though could be wrong, that Mark Hill, Lewis Moore and Ross Cunningham were all signed short term up to the January window. I would be happy if we were able to extend the contracts of all three until the end of the season. Hill has made the position his, Moore brings a bit of pace and I don't think Cunningham has really been given a chance.
If all three were to leave we could be in trouble.

Given the lack of activity on this site you wouldn't think we had a MUST WIN GAME coming up.
In order to avoid a dour relegation battle over the rest of the season we have to get at least 12 points over each of the next 3, 9 game quarters. This would give us 45 points and a respectable mid-table position. The easiest way to do this is 4 wins from 9 and anything else picked up is a bonus.
Jim Weir should have the following games pencilled in as must win games.
Stenhousemuir. Away.
Brechin. Away.
Dumbarton. Home.
Montrose. Home.
Anyone got a better plan?
Target - 12 points from 9 games.
Over the last 9 games we have gained 15 points.
9 points coming from our must win games, losing out to Brechin , but picking up 6 bonus points from our good wins over Raith and Airdrie.
So, our 4 must win games over the next 9 games are as follows.
BRECHIN .Home.
DUMBARTON. Away.
STRANRAER. Home.
STENHOUSEMUIR. Home.
Possible bonus points from AIRDRIE Home and MONTOSE Away.
Much will depend on any January signings and the fate of our loan signings.

It sounds like J.W. is no too happy with Easton's contribution and lack of end product. Will he be brave enough to drop him?
( Stand by for incoming from the Easton is God fan club.)

Might need to revise my master plan.

Dumbarton are close to getting their act together and Brechin are hard to beat (and watch) this season.
Can't see anything remotely near 6 points from either of them tbh.I have already discounted anything from the following :-
Raith Rovers, Arbroath, East Fife, Airdrie and Stranraer. If we add Dumbarton and Brechin!!!
RELEGATION IT IS THEN.

Pretty decent pedigree though.

MARK HILL.
Have we found the missing piece of the jig-saw?

We could have done with Fraser today, anyone heard why he didn't want to play for us?
It seems a waste of time signing a contract if players can come or go as they please. Maybe we should've played hardball, " You're going nowhere son."

Yeah Hendry should run riot, he's not far off being a genuine threat to our starting strikers.
I remember Saints fans said the same to us about Greg Hurst.
He didn't.

Transfer/ Registration Window.
FAFC release statement for fans explaining new regulations.
By releasing Gary Fraser before 31:08:18 it means he is a free agent and can sign for any Club ,in any division,at any time in the future.
Did he get a signing on fee? Was it repaid? If he was keen to sign in June, what happened to change his mind? Jim Weir is now left looking for an unsigned , defensive, experienced, mid fielder who wants to play in League 1. Good luck with that!
The statement says that L1 and L2 clubs can sign loan players up to 30:09:18 . Up to 4 in total. It looks like Jim will go for 2 loan signings.
Although not by choice , it looks like we will have a really young squad come 30th. September.

Gary Fraser.
Seems a strange one, leaving in the same transfer window as he signed.
He had a decent game against Livingston Colts on the Tuesday , only to see Coupe start before him on Saturday.
Is he out of Football or will he do a Swankie?

Given that Easton has made himself unavailable due to an act of self indulgent petulance , and Hilson is not 100%. Here is tomorrow's lineup.
McCallum
Meechan Wilson Munro Whyte
Bain McIntosh Fraser Reilly
Baird Moore.
Come on guys. 9 from 11 not a bad call.
Malone rewarded for his Tuesday night performance and was pretty solid today.
Fair play to J.W. for giving Coupe the nod over Fraser. He brought pace to burn and looks a good prospect.
TBF Fraser did come on after Coupe had run out of gas!

Has Bain been playing on the wing for yourselves? Never thought he was as good there as he was at fullback
Yes. Jim Weir has brought in Meechan as a no nonsense right back allowing Bain to move forward to mid field. He is a decent player and is doing O.K. He can play wide right or switch to wide left. The type of player Jim likes.

Guys. Kennedy is not ready to play 90mins. He will be lucky if he gets 10.
The mid field four are fluid free to switch .
I cannot believe you would not have Munro in your side. He took the arm band on Tuesday night when Trav went off and was a colossus in a backs to the wall situation.( And he scored a Pen.)

I find it mind boggling there's even a debate on Easton.
Opinions eh
Let's look at how Jim Weir has utilised Dylan Easton recently.
V Dumbarton. Dropped. 5mins from bench.
V Livingston Colts. Starts. Not great.
V Stranraer. Dropped. 20 mins from bench. Singled out in post match interview as having no end product.
V Livingston Colts. Starts. Better performance. Sent off for Violent Conduct after 25 mins. Gets Death Stare from J.W. on his way off.
If Jim can get any sort of deal ,Easton is on his way.
