Such a poor game after the one earlier today. Japan are quite poor and England are quite boring, taking it all the way back to the late 00's Warrenball style.

I don't think they were Hibsing it, I think they were just fucked. Remember they already played a proper game against Wales last Sunday, when Australia had a much easier time against Georgia the day before. There was a lot going against Fiji there, not to mention losing both Botia and the scrum half who was having the game of his life quite early in the second half. I loved that anyway, brilliant from Fiji, hope they go through.

Worth remembering Fiji have to play their two biggest games a week apart as well. Doubt it's the same for any T1s.

But then they get the miracle turnover! To be fair, Brace is giving them way, way more leeway on the ground than Carley did.

It reminds me of a big Scotland performance in a game they aren't fancied where they are playing so well, and it's such fun to watch, with some absolute heroic moments in attack and defence, but still feels a bit "seat of the pants" and could fall apart at any second.

I think he was injured tbf, but yeah, it's unfortunate.

There is Russia, Canada, Zimbabwe as well. I guess it depends what you mean by "add much". Could they win it? Nah, but there have been enough minor upsets in the group stages now to show it's not a complete waste of time having these teams in. Japan went from a team that were usually a 100 point blow out to quarter finalists. Rugby just doesn't do enough to grow the game unfortunately. Letting a few more teams have their moment at the WC is ok by me.

You used to post here before, got banned, came back straight to post on the politics forum and to whine about Scottish people. No posts about football. A tale as old as time. I'm just wondering wether it was racism, homophobia or something else that got you banned last time?

Both teams looking both good and bad at various spells. Tonga make some fucking horrific mistakes, like the boy dropping the ball when he looked odds on to score there, and some real brainless plays, like the late hot that essentially got Ireland from their own line, to a try. Ireland have been a bit flaky as well. One thing is for sure, Scotland absolutely have to have their set piece functioning next week. It's winning Ireland this game.

Just with the way the game is now, and how fucking easy it is to get a red card, never mind a yellow, 14 months seems almost impossible.

Did the commentator say that's the first card Ireland have had in 14 months? That's incredible.

It's hard to tell how good or otherwise Tonga are because they are being absolutely reffed off the park to the point even the Irish commentators are mentioning it.
