You just suggested we should have been going into lockdown whenever a normal flu came along every year?
Yeah, I was being tongue in cheek. I wasn't recommending we fine everyone who refused their flu jab offer for the past 20 years either.
If you're still confused, I'll clear up my stance. I don't support covid lockdowns/vax mandates/vax passport ID cards/whatever draconian policy comes next.

Do you have any credible evidence to back this up ?
I think if you aren't triple-vaxxed, you are classed as unvaccinated. That's maybe where he's coming from.

Did the flu ever result in the developed world requiring to lock its population down and furlough huge sections of its economy
Judging by the huge numbers of flu deaths every year for decades do you not think that should've happened? Based on the precedent that's been set to "keep us all safe" are you not pissed off at the authorities for playing fast and loose with your health pre-2020?
If not, your anger is with the tyrannical governments, not the unvaxxed.

The uk govt are already doing this for anyone who requires to go into a nursing home
Cost of care, £1k per week, taken off the forced sale of your house after you pass away
So why couldn't this same principle be applied to unvaccinated people who are now effectively holding the country to ransom
While we're at it, let's fine everyone who didn't get their flu jab in the last 20 years. God knows how many deaths they caused by failing to quarantine, failing to wear a mask and going about their life as normal.

It’s been the way throughout. I think, from memory, Denise Welsh, one of the ‘Loose Women’ on that TV show said something along the lines of ‘Covid isn’t the only thing that matters’ - in regard to missed breast cancer tests, missed operations, etc, etc… and she was hounded into making an apology. Accused of being uncaring and was an affront to those who had lost loved ones to Covid.
Apology? For talking sense.
As I said in a previous post, I genuinely feel there is a large majority of ordinary folk, who are against restrictions out there. Cannot be heard, cannot gather and protest, and are the kind of folk who generally don’t protest anyway. Just go about their business. I’ve tried taking certain things up with my SNP MSP. He just cracked a bad joke and fobbed me off. These cnuts in yellow in Holyrood have become too cosy, too powerful, too complacent. The opposition is about as much use as a nappy coated in a newborn’s first skittery shite.
Depressing times.
Or if you do join one of the protests, you get labelled an anti-vax, tin foil hat wearing flat earther.
There's absolutely no in-between. Which is of course ridiculous.

Our ability to get over the line in the past 3 games has been immense, the mark of a strong team at international level IMO.
The shithousery during stoppage time was a joy to watch, textbook example of how to kill a football match.

Really surprised he is playing well and scoring at this level. It would be an all too similar a story to never hear of him again. Fair play.

Haven’t seen that much of this lad , but I suspect he is just finding his feet at club level , never mind being ready for full international football based on a few games
If John McGinn was ready to make his debut whilst playing in the Scottish Championship (and failing to win promotion to Premiership that season) then I'm pretty sure McTominay, who started ahead of Paul Pogba away to Sevilla in the CL last 16, is ready to play against Costa Rica in a friendly.

Celtic cost me 3 grand in my weekend 12fold. Had them -1 on the handicap.
Gut wrenching.

Today I learned that the 10th President of the US, John Tyler, born in 1790, has two living grandchildren.
You read that correctly.

The war chest finally being unlocked in summer 2013 after a transfer embargo. The scouting system must have been working overtime all season long, here are the fruits of their labour:
Having to salvage an equaliser courtesy of a Bilel Moshni assault on Neil Parry to take Rovers to a replay and keep the Scottish Cup dream alive.

He 'earned' a new long term deal in 2014, and signed a further contract extension in January 2016. Transfermrkt and Chelsea's wiki say he won't be out of contract until summer 2019 when he'll be turning 24.
What a life he must have, banking £10,000 every week (at a guess) for doing square root of f**k all.
