  1. Is this something they have said? Or conjecture? I dont think that is something they have actually said, so we don't know what there looking for. Bar a right back. They could get O'donnell for next to nothing. But their not interested, no team in England is.
  2. christ I know, this was a few wks ago. I dont anymore
  3. Oh its been said a few times! Barney rubble and 2237383 or whatever hes called! Who i think are actually the same person so maybe just 1 person thinks that.
  4. Again craig, id rather not converse with you anymore.
  5. If you look at some of his finishes admittedly from youth football. His finishing is pretty pretty good. I think when he's a bit bigger and stronger it will help as he will get to the chance quicker. Also he will have more power to guide shots (which seemed to be his thing). Rather than put the laces thru it. Also, unrelated to your point. B ut a few people have mentioned him playing further forward and been shot down. When he was younger he played as a ten at times and sometimes as an 8. He can play all over midfield. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play different positions throughout his career. He's certainly good enough to.
  6. Wonder why Everton bid for patterson and not O'donnell? They need to speak to some of the scouts on here.
  7. Srange that the angriest guys here are the two "winners". Is there a minimum age to post on here? These guys come across very young
  8. I think reasonable debate is healthy. And I think by and large its been that I've said all along I think Clarke is good when we're playing under pressure. What would convince me is us being able to dominate weaker teams. Especially at home. Hopefully we can make some progress with that, but thats never really been a clarke trait? I'd also like us to be more expansive at home also. Which would help us beat the teams we should be beating. Also the home euro performances were poor, that was a golden opportunity blown. We've been on a pretty terrible run of form and tonight ends that. Everyone here supports scotland so hopefully everyone can put the petty stuff away and just support the team. If we get to the World Cup ill be Steve's biggest fan.
  9. The difference hes made already is unbelievable. We can hang on to the ball and get it forward and keep possession now. His influence is only going to grow as he gets stronger and more experienced. Genuinely exciting times.
  10. Im absolutely loving the score and performance tonight, well done Steve and the boys
  11. Honestly don't even bother with him!
  12. Good result and performance tonight. Someone said earlier we seem to play well for 1 of a triple header and they called it spot on. Gilmour has really improved us. And credit to Hendry and Hanley especially, unbeatable tonight!
  13. Please don't drop the line right back now Steve. Terrible pen but it will do.
  14. Absolutely, there is. Im just saying a statement like "height doesn't matter" isn't remotely true.
  15. Its impossible to always be free of a marker. So headers have to be won, being taller makes that easier. Some wee guys being good at headers doesn't change this. If they were taller they would be better at headers.
  16. Away, he should have been in the squad ages before he was. Which has been proven by how good he's been as soon as he has been. Incedently he would never even have been called up if it hadn't had been for all the call offs.
  17. In possession were certainly slow and ponderous in an attacking sense.
  18. Ha ha, you disagree with me, realise your mucked it up. So start insulting me aye block me mate sounds good
  19. I think you now realise your completely wrong and are trying to change the subject.
  20. Naw at full time sides. I think you will find at every full time club in Scotland the manager will be at every session. And will lead and plan most of them in conjunction with the coaches. The smaller the club the more the manager will do. But if you think at a bigger club say celtic. Postecoglou stays out of the coaching and just buys players and picks the team. Thats cool, but not true.
  21. It depends some managers takes complete charge of coaching. And in which case it is part and parcel of the job. I dont believe mccoist was not in charge of coaching during his time at rangers. So its very much relevant.
  22. I was meaning a future striker rather that turn dykes into any kind of technical player. But yeah in general if they appointed a strikers coach if be all in favour of that. It fits into the why are we not producing strikers thread really. Perhaps lack of specialist coaching throughout Scotland is an issue. The performance schools deff seem to be giving us a better standard of player. Were just waiting on a big sexy goal machine or 2 to come thru next.
  23. Great idea, but let's change the plan to make a new Kenny Miller How about a new original Ronaldo or Hamish Balfour
  24. Honestly bud If your plan is to bring in Ally Mccoist the coach, who made an absolute arse of his only managers job. So much so he's never been employed again. To try and turn someone into Kenny Miller, an absolute haddy. Who failed miserably in England and was by and large shite for us. Then Im telling you as a favour, take your cock off the line and put it away. Its a crap idea. I dont think the answer to our striker issues necessarily has to be Scottish. I think the state were in now the last thing we need is another Scottish coach. We've been trying that a long time now. There have been alot of strikers from all over the world who were better players than Mccoist. Sure plenty have went onto become coach's.
  25. I'm sure the website automatically changes the spelling of vandetta as a pisstake of some Stuart Dickson once typed. doh, still probably the same guy tho
