I've watched him a bit this season. He's actually called that because he digs himself under the pitch and only occasionally reappears once or twice throughout the game for a shot or header. At which point the fans get their phones out and try and get a picture, but there's never a clear picture or video taken. So some Sunderland fans don't even believe he exists, despite being their top scorer.

Because it would draw attention to the issue, and hopefully others would follow. Potentially saving and improving peoples lives.

With everything that's going on in Ukraine I think this topic is even more relevant. Ill support the team (from home) if we make it. But id be very proud if we pulled out due to the human rights violations being committed. Leading the world in drawing attention to this and hopefully more teams in pulling out would be very admirable. And hopefully help to save peoples lives.

Not seen the guy but I know he's rated quite highly. And doing well just now. But he's playing in league 2, so he's not going to be called up in the short term. Maybe a loan to a Scottish Premier team next year might be a good thing for him.

Hate to agree with this guy, but on this occasion he's spot on. O'donnell over Ralston at this point is a pretty ridiculous decision.

Well that for one, plus experience of playing at a higher level. Im not sure if he's a better player than Patterson or not tbh. Its a bit early to be making a judgement for me. But he's playing regularly, at since jan he's played more right wing back than Patterson.

I dont think its necessary to argue, were scotland fans discussing personal preferences for the team. Hes got his opinion, and a pretty comprehensive background in professional football. Which doesn't make him correct, but his opinion is certainly valid. Who would you play at right wing back?

I dont think it would be humiliating for Patterson. Hickeys doing very well in a great league. Also hes a young player whos done well for us. Buts hes not been playing recently, he can hopefully come back stronger.

The situation at Chelsea might very well be of benefit to gilmour next season. If they don't manage to get the sale through they wouldn't be able to afford alot of the high earners next season. So could end up a very different team.

Steve Archibald in the paper today also suggesting Hickey at right back. It makes alot of sense. Even if he's not as familiar playing there hes a big jump in quality from any competitors for the position currently. I could see Clarke doing this quite easily. He had Robertson on the right a while ago (which was terrible). He plays Tierney at left centre back and Mctominay at right centre back. So he's not against trying things out. Plus Hickey is playing there occasionally for his club. Could be a good solution for us.

Or with paterson unfortunately not getting first team games hickey could be tried on the right. Poland friendly would be an ideal time.

He didn't display much of that yesterday, I've said already fair play if he was playing out of position. But he was hopeless at left wing.

Iain Wilson, in the first half id agree. Thought he really came onto a game in the 2nd tho, and was probably our best midfielder in the half.

I dont watch him every week. He certainly didn't look comfortable or know what he was doing in the position he was in. And looked rash on the ball. If he plays a different position usually fair enough. Just noticed the "son" at the end of your post

Thought it was quite an enjoyable 0-0, lacking quality from both teams. But not organisation and effort. We could and really should have won the game in the second half. Whoever was number 22 for arbroath was a terrible player. Lucky not to be sent off for challenging late twice, really the one on the keeper would have been a yellow if he hadn't just been booked. But that aside just a terrible player. He seemed to be playing a brand new position, defensive left wing.

Well each to their own. Hopefully the management dont have this attitude tho. Personally I think we should be making the squad and backup players as good as we possibly can.

I've never doubted Tierneys commitment myself. But I suppose the reason people aren't having a go at hickey is that he's not been asked to play for the full squad. Also he was overlooked for the u21s until very recently, while clearly inferior players were being called up ahead of him. So him not wanting to travel from Italy to play at a vastly inferior level. For the team who continually snubbed him. Yeah I have some sympathy for that. The scotland youth set ups are a joke. Which has once again led to a player probably feeling alienated. Once the full team call up comes and if he starts snubbing that, then yeah I think it would be fair then to consider him a dick.

Mihajlovic has obviously assessed the situation. He sees him everyday in training and trusts him to play right wing back. He was one of the best full backs in the world himself when he played there. So im going to trust his judgement. Also Tierney has been playing left centre back for us. So there is certainly space for him. And there has been opportunities for hickey to be in the squad. Which he obviously should have been already.

Because it was disastrous in Denmark? Yeah Robertson didn't look comfortable at all, if we were going to try that again it would have to be Tierney on the right.
