I remember some hype in June he was going to 'commit' to Scotland.
Not sure he's any better than what we have but he's got 5 in 12 this season which is nae too bad. His team mate Ben Brereton also has a poor goalscoring record but has gone very well for Chile so far. Gallagher is a big lad so might fit the system and work well as backup for Dykes.
correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt there an agreement between the countries that if you switch you cant switch back?
the likes of sam gallagher and matt targett were being capped at youth level by us before switching to england so have made their bed...

I appreciate that most of their best players will be playing abroad anyway, but I've been assuming the American league generally has better players than us for quite a while. If so, playing there shouldn't harm Gauld's chances of playing for Scotland any more than the domestic-based players in the squad.
saw an interview with GMS where he basically said the players all had fantastic skill but wouldn't hack it through a scottish winter, make of that what you will
