  1. Bit bold to suggest Hibs are bankrupt given they have at least twice the active fanbase you have...
  2. Leigh was also posting videos of his new flat over in Holland today on his instagram so as you say doesn't look like anything will be happening with him any time soon. I think I like the idea of Hayes being left back better than Leigh. We do need to forward plan for that position. Think it's the lad MacKenzie that plays for the youth team in that position? Anyone know if he's near ready? He'd be 22 by the time Hayes' contract ends.
  3. He was given a 2 year extension last summer, I'm fairly certain he'll feature in the first team over the coming season. Perhaps on loan for the first half, coming back for the second half after we get our annual 40 injuries.
  4. Totally agree, which is why we shouldn't even be entertaining selling McKenna without having a replacement lined up.
  5. Also, if McKenna gets sold, we'd need Considine at centre back anyway. Unfortunately I know loads of both!
  6. Most of my Tim mates* are a bit dissappointed they've let him go. Feel he could still do them a turn. So hopefully still got the engine. I think I'm warming to the idea of him playing left back. More than competent to play there in the league. *Celtic fans I know and tolerate.
  7. I think we could eek out a bit more than £5m if we wait a year, but would accept that sort of offer with a fair sell-on clause if it stabilises the clubs financial position. I would demand that a sizeable portion of that goes to signing a replacement though. I highly doubt either St. Johnstone or Killie would turn down a bid of around £1m for Kerr or Findlay respectively, in the current climate. Any notion of selling Ferguson for £1m to the filth can get in the bin.
  8. Tbf, I only called some Hibs fans on this board zoomers.
  9. Assuming all that is true (not questioning you), then I'd be happy getting Wright and Anderson out on loan. A final chance for Wright, and probably not far off with Anderson given his age. I wouldn't be happy with McLennan or Hedges leaving, as I think both can contribute, but only if we get last seasons hoofball shite in the bin. Happy for Logan to leave, was the best right back in the league for a short time about 4 years ago, but has gone rapidly downhill. He's a good guy though, and would be nice to see him finish his career on the park instead of the bench. We shouldn't be selling either Ferguson or McKenna right now, especially given the length of contract for both. He's very much a poacher, but also very raw. He doesn't seem the type to be involved with the build up, and almost seems a bit starstruck, which hinders his game. Definitely needs more game time. I'd like to see him go back to Dunfermline, as it's looking likely they'll sell Nisbet, so I think he'd be first choice striker there.
  10. I ken mate, it was a sly dig at some of your zoomers on here. Look back at absolutely any of the Aberdeen vs Hibs threads on here. As I say, the majority I have actually met have been dead on.
  11. Rangers have never won a major trophy. It would seem so, but to be fair to him, he's done an impeccable job of narrowing it down.
  12. I know...I mentioned on 49ers fanzone that we should try and trade for Rodgers. That was not a popular suggestion! I think it would guarantee a Superbowl tbh. Brechin ended the season wildly adrift at the very bottom of the SPFL (Div 2). Not a Brechin fan, but they'd certainly bring you more enjoyment than supporting Aberdeen.
  13. Fucking Chief b*****ds. We'll do you this year (49ers ftw). Also...you already support a team that plays in red..there's only one team for you. You are now a Brechin City fan.
  14. McKenna... He's not scaled up quite as we thought he would. Partly it must be said, I think his head was turned in the summer. Partly, we underperformed as a team in general. I think a lot of Dons fans have been a little disillusioned by this. He's still first choice Scotland centre back (although that is of course subject to change). He's contracted until 2023, he's comfortably the best Scottish centre back, and one of the best in the league. Absolutely no way we should be selling him on the cheap. However, there are a few young CBs chasing his tails. If he has any integrity, he should be heid first into next season, keeping his Scotland jersey, and proving his talent. Maybe next summer we can think about selling him. FWIW, I think the club were absolutely correct to turn down the £6m (assuming that was the extent of the deal).
  15. Not to mention he was our most productive winger in 18/19 and his dip in form last season is 95% McInnes' fault.
  16. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020–21_UEFA_Europa_League The wikipedia page still shows the cup winner slot as empty, fwiw. However I would imagine it is exceedingly unlikely the cup will be finished before the start of the competition (or whatever deadline is in place).
  17. Kenny McLean was with Aberdeen before Rangers, but neither count as the team who brought him through. He's St Mirren's.
  18. I predict a complete heads gone from the fermers. Excellent job Lewis, well deserved. Best young player in the country by a mile.
  19. II'm going to assume my grade is inversely proportional to how raging you are. Could you see your way to knocking a couple of points off for the "diet ****" comment?
  20. I'm struggling to decide what's more embarassing; the full fat **** and their dossier, or the diet **** and their pathetic, crawling attempts to avoid relegation. You will be well rid of that successful businesswoman.
  21. Absolutely guaranteed Utd signing. They love an ex Don these days.
  22. I forgot Utd being promoted would mean we'd have to put up with their shit chat again.
  23. Probably a bit too soon to evaluate him fairly. Looked a bit lost at first, but was beginning to look a bit more confident towards the end of the season.
