The biggest difference for me was the speed of transitions when both teams had the ball. Took us a while to work it to the final third whereas you guys were able to move at speed and that caught us out. For being three divisions below I thought we contributed to a decent game of football. Think we should be ok against teams at our level, the result was definitely the right one but if it had gone 2-2 it could have been an interesting end to the game.

What a pen that was. Couldn’t have been more top bins. The defending 5 mins before that though - Ooft. And we’ve nearly just conceded again.
Is Dunachie the guy that used to play for us at centre half?
He is, the move to striker is a new idea that has taken every Clyde fan by surprise! More than capable defender as well but was prone to the odd mistake, particularly in the first half of last season.

Great to see that! Really buzzing for everything going on. The eagle eyed will have clocked Kabia up in St Andrews too.
Probably waiting for his best mate to sign with one half of the ugly sisters before he decides to stay up here.

The ref and stand side lino were horrendous. The East Fife left back must have gained more yards than an NFL quarterback! Should have won that with ease, but in the end +3 and Stranraer losing is all that matters.

In Maitland we trust!

Don't see the love for Kabia. Did absolutely eff all last week, and as soon as he loses the ball he stops and sulks. Apart from a terrific cross v Elgin haven't seen much at all from him.
Would play Grant in the middle, felt last week there was no-one to calm things down and to hold onto the ball for at least 2 seconds.
Last week's pitch is not the kind that allows Kabia to show his best. When he came on against Elgin he was excellent at creating space and dragging players out of position. He was almost unplayable and as they started to double up on him he was quick enough to switch the play and bring others into the game also. Unfortunately Saturdays pitch probably doesn't suit him either, but he would be a good shout for the 2nd half or last 30 mins as the game stretches should we be looking for goals. Grant has tailed off after a few very assured displays, hope he gets going again as a fit and performing Raymondo is such an asset.

Happy clapper number 1
Sorry that basic arithmetic isn't something that registers with you, but to be condemning us now is horrific. Unfortunately I could write about an endless amount of issues I have with the club, particularly in recent times, but I reckon over the next few weeks it would be better to at least not add to the woe, and actually get behind the team. I certainly believe that bad performances such as today should be criticised, I'd just rather focus on a positive conclusion to this season, especially when we have the matches and points available to do so.

So if we win next week it doesn't matter then eh? We are bang up against it as it is without everyone throwing in the towel. Not many folk were complaining after the last 2 games if I recall.

It is terminal. Today was last chance saloon
Last chance saloon? 6pts behind two teams with 24pts still up for grabs, away you go ya roaster.

The cross from Kabia was that good that it looked like a goal as soon as it had left his boot!

Another massive 3pts for us today, nowhere near our best, but fair play to the lads for grinding out the result. Kabia had an excellent game when he came on, only bettered by Hamilton who was excellent once more. Thought Lyon had a good 1st half but I can see why he was sacrificed. Jordan Allan looks like he's found his form again and if we keep creating chances he should bag a good few more. Lots of work to do but we have now given ourselves a right good chance.

For the most part we were solid and hard to break down today, big props to Sula, who in the 2nd half dealt with everything thrown in the box with ease. It was one of those days where every time we went forward we seemed to find the right pass, or sheer guts got us the opportunity. Rennie and Allan were brilliant in their own ways, and to a man, the rest outplayed their counterparts. I pray to god this game is a launchpad for the next 10 games, we aren't done yet!

Personally, I think fans should be free to give players pelters for playing poorly if they wish. The question is, does it ever result in improving player performance?
I would suggest it at best has no effect but often can result in the player becoming even worse - either deliberately in a "get it up ye" or just through panic/increased nerves due to the abuse.
This. The amount of abuse Ross Lyon gets at certain times is unreal, the poor lads not up to standard, but it's certainly not his fault that we gave him a contract, and that managers keep playing him!

Right then, Mr Thomson. What's your master plan for selling season tickets this coming summer?
He shouldn't even be allowed to sell the raffle tickets going forward.

Starting to believe we are witnessing the farewell tour. Been through some amount of shite over the years and I'm usually the first to put a positive / hopeful spin on things, but this is bleak. The worst thing is we entirely deserve it.
Can we rewind to the Ronnie Mac and Alan Maitland "junior" revolution and start again please?

I enjoyed when the commentators said something along the line of, "I've never known Carswell to play at centre back".
He played the whole of last season there, including a game which was on BBC in the cup (think it was Alba but still...).
He has shown nothing since coming in, (he's not the only one to be fair). For anyone to suggest he has been one of our better players is laughable. If Clyde need an unfit, slow and indecisive centre half, I'd do it for free. I'd manage 45 mins into the bargain.

Carswell will be a miss for Clyde. It's a low bar, but he has been one of their more competent players this season.
Wit?

Some amount of troglodytes amongst that Clyde support today.
Trying to get on the pitch & squaring up to an elderly steward after an equaliser.
That's just not true though, is it?

Best of luck to the boy, but that sums up our recruitment in a nutshell!

If it's accurate, I wonder who the "Other two candidates from SPFL clubs" are.

I’d personally go a size up for a more comfortable fit. I’m a M/L and the Large fits me perfectly.
We are planning on getting one of every size in the club shop for fans to try on hopefully for the start of the season. So if your wanting to wait and see what one fits best you could do that.
Cheers, I saw there was only 1 large on the website earlier so I've bought it, from what your saying that should be perfect for me anyway!

Anyone ordered one of the matchwinner tops? Wondering how the sizing is, most footy tops are slim fit these days but I've had a few classic Scotland tops that have been regular fit and if anything, big for their size.

Due to attempting (without much success) to play a bit of football myself, I've had the good luck in only having to watch us twice this season. What I will say is this, I have played a part in, and watched, games at amateur level in which a lot of the top players appear to be as good, if not better than what we currently have. I totally appreciate the "levels" to the game and whatnot, but I do genuinely feel that the best of amateur football is now akin to the McDonald/Maitland revolution, from which a lot of the best junior players were sourced. Bag Duffy, get a young coach with drive and a bit of balls in, and give a half dozen or so top amateur boys a go until the summer. Might not save us, but we might just create a pathway and links that could serve us well going forwards.

Directly comparing the roles of Grant and Scullion is a wild take. Thinking Grant is finished as a footballer is an even wilder one.
