    What have heard from someone who nows fash well is he had plenty offers as a kid from loads of teams but as his mum couldn't afford take him as a single parent and not from Scotland. So he just went played played with his friends at Leven United. Where east fife noticed him the boy has to start somewhere. When east fife played Motherwell in cup earlier in season he destroyed Motherwell defence. As United fan al say Dundee getting a good player here!!

    Because Hearts have been playing some magic football eh? The fact you are currently 2nd shows how inconsistent all the other teams have been because you are truly rank. Scraping a win against United FFS in the most eye bleeding game of football I have ever witnessed. I've no doubt we will come good, string a few wins together and bounce on up the league. I'll wave to you in the passing. The gap will be 8 points after our next game ;)

    what did Dundee beat a pish United team eh no. Dundee will finish above hearts. You been on the drink the day mate:)

    I assume you are ignoring last seasons league table dearest WaWa?

    Even if you were correct, we are still comfortably ahead of the city's wee team this season so it begs the question, if Dundee FC are a bottom 6 team, what exactly does that make Utd? :)

    when was United last in bottom 6 most successful team apart from Celtic for being in top 6. And United are the wee team lol even you no that's no true mate come on now :)

    Lot of pish floating around (mostly Mad and Facebook to be fair but that's were it always starts) about Hartley being under pressure having won 4 in 24 games or something like that. I had an Arab e-mailing me saying he would be sacked soon and quoting some of these roasters saying the knives were out, relegation form etc.

    After I lol'ed heartily at his relegation form jibe (amazing what diference a 2nd league win makes!) I too kthe time out to explain some mitigations IMO for Hartleys track record over the last 24 selected games.

    Might provide some context to some on here who are getting restless or other fans looking in (Hiya DAB's, hiya pals) on why that run looks so poor.

    Our record is poor over the past 20 odd games but I would defend Hartley slightly on that one!

    He is 4 wins in 14 this season (which isn’t stellar – although losing 5 in 14 isn’t too bad either) ) and to go any further back is IMO a bit unfair.

    We got to the top 6 last season and simply weren’t as good as any of the other top 6 teams with no prospect of improving on 6th place. Thats 5 games straight away where he was playing the top teams in the country with nothing to play for and got 1 draw.

    Prior to those 5 games, our run into the split was extremely tricky when you look at it – 5 games pre split were Aberdeen (H) , Caley (A), Utd (H), St J (A), Celtic (A) – effectively we played the top 5 teams 10 games in a row at the end of last season, getting 1 win and 3 draws, 6 losses.

    If you go back the previous 9 games before that against the bottom 6 teams (plus 1 against Aberdeen) he won 5 out of 9 with only 1 loss which is very good form for a newly promoted side. Obviously these games don't get included by the "Hartley Out" brigade as it would make his run look not bad… I.E it’s currently 5 wins in 25 games if you want to have a go at Hartley, or it could be 10 wins in 30 if you are a bit more positive. Still not sowstopping form when you look at it that way, but for a wee bit of context, we only won 11 league games last season and still finished top 6. Almost halfway there already this season in terms of games won. (I do expect the top 6 to require more this season tbh)

    My defence of him is that he overachieved really well with a poor team last year, unfortunately that set him up for a 10 game run against the best teams with a squad nowhere near the level of the other teams which has given ammo to anyone who wants to throw it. If we had finished in the bottom 6 it’s likely we would have won 3 or 4 of those games and his win streak looks a lot better – victim of his own success I think.

    too be fair on Hartley most past Dundee managers only win 2-24 use are a bottom 6 team unless use are in the old 1st div which use do ok :)
